I look forward to seeing how you integrate with the ES-8 switching system. Thank you for sharing.
Great video man bun!
Excellent review!
Great overview. I've integrated the Core with a ES5 & multiple drive pedals, digitech drop, noise suppressor & channel switching on my TSL100. Its taken over 18 months to get happy with the tones, a big amount of that time was working out the 4cm in conjunction with the ES5 & my amp. I was interested to see your take with essentially 3 stages of separation, maybe you could expand on this in another video, routing etc between the amp, ES & Core?
I'm using the inbuilt wah but yeah, it's not as good as a real wah.
Looking forward to your next installment.
I got it for how well it works with my electric acoustic guitars...then discovered how jam-packed it was with features... Crazy good... 🙂
I use it as additional channel/channels on my JCM 800 as well as effects on the 800 at the same time. (4CM) CTRI 1 to toggle between them in one patch. It’s pretty easy to set up, sounds great and it’s only $599 now, that’s the price of one or two pedals, and like you said, less space.
I like your honesty
It would be very nice if you could share how you’re routing your board, I didn’t quite get the part about the 3 channels when incorporating external pedals.
Which expression pedal do you use with it to activate wah, volume, etc?
So to switch from 3 channels on my mesa wat kind of cable’s do I use? Just 3 basic cables from gt to head?
So I’ve set up an assign to change my preamp 1 over from a recti to a Brit, and set it to ctl1. I’ve done a similar amp change on preamp 2 and set it to the up arrow. But when I’ve selected ctl1 and press the up arrow it’s turning on both. I want it to change over like a snapshot
i cant find you on audea - can you post audio versions of your videos there? would love to listen to them! thanks again for the great content
I've never actually heard of Audea until now, but I'll definitely look it up.
I got the Boss GT100 - still trying to find the best setup configuration for it. It’s decent
Mr Man bun my friend, can you do a 1 year satisfaction video. I have a large pedalboard in my studio with dd500 md500 and rv500, but I am considering building a more compact board for jams. I am looking for 90 per cent of the tone I am getting now out of the 500 series
Greta vid and Channel! Have you found a way to power this unit from a power supply eg. Voodoo Labs/ 1 spot? It would be great to power this as well as other pedals from one source.
just bought myself a Core :)
Thanks! I power the Core off a Strymon Ojai. Just make sure you use an output from your supply with high amperage (~500mA).
@@ManBunMetalHead Thanks a lot dude!
I'm a simple man, I see Man Bun Metal Head video's notification, I click
Much appreciated! 🤘🏼
Why?
Is it possible to use the GT1000core without the amp and cab simulator? Because I would like to have my real amp sound when the GT1000core is turned on or off. I would like to use the GT1000core for effects only, like chorus, phaser of reverb in manual mode. So when I use an effect, for instance a chorus.. I would just like to hear the chorus going true my amp. So no amp and Cab simulation included.
Yes, you just have to disable them.
Any chance you could do a bit more in depth showing how to set up the CORE with an ES8? Thanks.
Sounds like a good idea. I'll put it on the list.
@@ManBunMetalHead excellent, Smithers! Just so you know where my thinking has stemmed from check out the video by Simon McBride, which shows his pedalboard with the ES8 and CORE. I somewhat understand the theory, and the diagram showing the connections, but I really need to see what needs to be done within the CORE to create the pre/post effects. Thanks, in advance.
Does it take 9v?
It is for Bass too?
Yes it is.
Are you from Michigan?
I am.
@@ManBunMetalHead nailed it- recognized the accent fellow midwesterner!
Accent gets me every time. Actually had someone recognize the accent when I was in Italy years 8 years ago.
MBMH, where do you be?
Michigan, sir
Nah. I dont want my bypassed tone to be converted to digital
So it is a shittier Helix at about the same price, huh?
I mean is your preference, I had two hx stomp that I sold when I got this I just got along really well with the user interface and effects. Plus more flexible in routing options and I can power it with a one spot if I wanted too without adapters for power. They were things I liked in the stomp but I much more prefer this.
@@lavadoraautomatica1 Thanks for the reply, man. But I am still in darkness. What did you prefer on the Boss? What about tonal differences? The accuracy (or charm) of the overdrive pedals comparing one another?
@@AbeldeBetancourt Boss sounds better than the HX to my ears
I have a Helix Floor and ordered this for other situations.
All Is Good.
This sounds better, sold my stomp
Talk and dont play😂😂😂
I feel like you need to be an electrical engineer and computer programmer to play a fking guitar these days. BOOOO!!!
Thanks for the video, dropped you a DM on your Facebook page 😎
