The real reason is because they are enclosed reclining seats with a multitude of adjustment. Same thing with the 7 series with comfort seats, the mechanism behind the seats is very complex

That was a very honest and accurate review of the GLS Maybach. Compared to the Rolls-Royce and the Bentley this is by far the most appealing most handsome and having driven just the Rolls-Royce and MayBach I found them almost equally comfortable with my eyes closed I couldn’t tell the difference as a passenger lol. so without a doubt the Maybach would be my choice and the fact that it’s the cheapest of the lot is just a bonus also I think Mercedes reliability and quality supersedes the others

Realistically it would cost Mercedes €20 to replace so I don’t think they would even care one bit.
The cost to replace a Mercedes hood ornament at a dealership is $40 in the US and takes about 5 minutes tops. The part probably costs $20-30 to make.

I've just bought a VW beetle and I couldn't be happier! So excited! I had a luxury SUV before this and as much as I loved it, it made me anxious to drive it. Parking was always a problem, no matter where I parked someone would always hit the paintwork and averaged 33 mpg which, for a hybrid, wasn't great. If money was no object, I still don't think I'd buy another SUV again. This mercedes is lovely but it's too extravagant, although I can see why it would appeal. I wonder who will buy it?

Nice cars but only issues I’ve had in the past is parking these monsters in busy shopping car parks! And getting through small roads. The amount of dents and scratches I’ve had to pay over the years is incredible...

A fake exhaust is a piece of plastic or metal, which just pretends to be an exhaust pipe, but it isn't. And here's the thing: Mercedes-Benz, AMG and Maybach exhaust pipes are all "functional"... Do you get it??
The special thing here is, that the endpipes are fixed in the rear bumper because of design reasons, so simple is that! AMG has these fixed exhaust pipes since a lot of years. It looks a lot cleaner and in fact it's a much cleaner solution, because the actual exhaust pipe is a few centimeters behind it. But it's still functional!
For a trashtalking clown like Matt Watson this is propably "too high" to understand it, I guess...

This is a showroom for clients with deep pockets. Mercedes will do everything to make the visit a perfect experience. So they will probably clean and polish it after every customer.

@@AlexandruDobrojan-bs5hs i'm a bmw fan boy, but mercedes pretty much is the king of almost every segment atm. they have the fastest and best looking hatch, imo the best suv with the gls, their comfort is much higher than that of audi/bmw, and the s class is still the car to beat. the only car they can't get their hands on is the m3, altho like the porche 911 you can build a similar car that is faster, cheaper, better looking and handles better and it still wouldn't sell as well. they have proven to be able to build a car that can beat a ferrari for the same money, they have a sports car currently, their f1 team is the most dominant in the history of the sport, their fe team is coming along well and they do very well in a lot of sports cars tournaments as well.

Since BMW owns it they add features where the seem fit, but Rolls Royce is pretty independent in their luxury options.

Imagine how many sensors have to be replaced, the sheer amount of electronics they have dumped into this car amazes me.

Only thing they missed there mark on is the steering wheel, it’s gorgeous of course but they could’ve made it more elegant, 2017 s600 is my favorite steering wheel
