Lived here in the late 70's just as the highrise boom was taking off. What a great time. Hennepin Ave. was still a gritty combat zone, as those areas were called back then--head shops, strip joints, bars, massage parlors, XXX theaters...a real people circus. But the boom has slowed way down. Time for some exciting new skyscrapers in ol' Minne!

Impressive!! I was looking for footage of the tragedy, but I'm glad I found this. Do you need special clearance to fly in those areas?
I believe it is illegal to fly over the Viking's dome and the Twin's field, and probably other sports related stuff. But I do certainly know if a game is active, it is illegal.
Sorry if this wasn't the answer you were looking for, just trying to be a bit helpful.

I applied to the university of Minnesota to get my master degree. I’m just very scared that is not safe in Minneapolis according to google. If you live in Minneapolis please share your thoughts regarding the security
stay to yo self🤷🏽♂️just like anywhere else, dont mess with the wrong ppl and they shouldnt mess with you. obviously keep your head on a swivel and be very knowledgeable abt where you're at and what time u there. Like w broadway and lyndale is some where you prolly shouldnt hangout by too long. ask da locals what they call the gas station ona corner cuz ppl dont be believin me
I've lived in MPLS in many different areas for the past 11 years. It's all pretty safe but like any other city, crime can vary based on neighborhood. The UMN campus is relatively safe! Some minor crime and petty theft, but nothing out of the ordinary.
I currently go to the UofM and I would highly recommend it. The campus is actually extremely safe and you can always see campus police walking around. I agree with Donovan though, just keep to yourself just like any other big city and you'll be alright. Minnesota is great and even after the riots in Minneapolis, I feel safe. The U seriously is a really cool campus and completely safe.
Just stay away from the North side and u will be ok.

Nice video! You got some good shots! do you call before you fly or just fly? just got a drone but kinda nervous about flying it over buildings and stuff till I get really good at it lol
Don’t fly in the cities until you’ll get hundreds of hours of experience and you’ll feel the drone like you feel your car while driving. If you just got the drone you’ll loose it in the first GPS loosing signal (which happens in the city very often) and you really don’t want to crash the drone in the downtown... Fly accordingly to your skills... Stay safe
@@TAPPChannel Thanks for the good advice I definitely won't until I'm more comfortable, do you fly in anti mode in order to not rely on GPS then or when you loose signal do you switch ?
