@@mikemcmikemcyeahok4977 Are they homeless because they are drug addicts or are they drug addicts to cope with the pain of being homeless? I blame the greed of landlords for a lot of this. It's in their head they have to jack up the rent every year at a rate faster than inflation. Even if 1/2 their apartments are empty, under no circumstances will they drop the rent. They would make more money if they lowered the rent and filled those apartments. However, it is unconscionable for landlords to lower the rent. Even if they put themselves out of business, they will not lower the rent. If you put a gun to their head, they would not lower the rent. If they had a choice between giving up breathing or lowering the rent, they would choose to quit breathing.

Sad what they did to Minnesota. There is also a Hmong homeless encampment in St. Paul, and I know a few actual vets that are living there. Both Hmong and white. 70+ years old, and completely abandoned by our country. I bike through there and struck up a conversation more than once. Yes there a lot of drug addicts, but there are also a lot of people without family that are basically living out the end of their days in a tent by the river, under power lines. Sad, just sad that our government isn't doing anything for these people that sacrificed so much.
