- Unsere neue Serie Mix:Mash startet mit einem Kracher: Mick Guzauski (Daft Punk, Mariah Carey, Jamiroquai uvm.) ist mit unzähligen Grammys für seine Mixe ausgezeichnet worden und er zählt damit zu den erfahrensten und erfolgreichsten Mix-Engineers überhaupt.

Danke für das sehr informative Video. Der Elysia Alpha ist ja genial, den hatte ich noch gar nicht getestet. Was ich mal probieren muss ist Vocalspur doppeln, low cutten, de-essen und komprimieren.
Danke - Ich hab schon vor einiger Zeit den Cloud9 breakdown von der Mixcon gesehen aber in eurem Video ist Mick sogar noch Detaillierter auf die Marterie eingegangen weil deine Fragen auch sehr präzise gestellt waren. Super ich würd mich wirklich freuen wenn er nochmal reinschaut bei euch!

Sehr interessanter Content... ich würde mich freuen, wenn man das nächste Mal die einzelnen Plugins bypassed um den Unterschied zu hören und welchen Effekt die einzelne Plugins auf den Sound hat... aber sonst vielen Dank für diese informativen Videos!
What did Mick mean when he stated that he had the guitars on VCA group and why is it necessary? I was unclear as to why he has both subgroups and VCA groups?
I'm really enjoying this video, great content and wonderful insights. I have a couple of issues though, nothing bad.
Firstly, the levels between the interview and the musical examples are very different, which means that watching at night, in order to hear the interview, I have to raise the volume, but lower it for the music track, so as not to affect my neighbours.
Secondly, the ducking that is applied to the explanations of what Mick is doing interferes with what Mick is doing and my ability to hear the example.
Maybe it would be an idea to ask the interviewee if they could pause the track when they are explaining something so that the viewer has a chance to hear the difference more clearly.

not sure what the point is of these mixing sessions where the mixer basically doesnt really add much EQ/compression/processing. obviously the original material sounded awesome but not many of us mix jamiroquai songs. speaking of that i actually did (re)mix 3 of his songs back then)
The point is exactly that: Realizing how important good recordings and a good production are. And I guess many people just enjoy looking into the workflow of one of the most succesful mix engineers in the world. Just take out of it what helps you most...
