    I am planning on machining a putter head and couldn’t figure out how to attach the shaft, so thanks!
    I’m going to order the shaft so I can measure the tip diameter. Then I will know the diameter to mill the hole opening. Can I ask what kind of epoxy you used to attach the shaft?
    Also, I am wondering what kind of solvent you used to wet the double sided tape so the handle would slide on so easily?
    Thanks in advance for any input or advice! I am excited to make my own putter. I work in a machine shop and can program and have access to 303 stainless steel and all the tooling I need to do this project so I’m looking forward to getting started on my design and program.

    whee yay my first re-shaft. I didn't have a new, flawless putter shaft so I used a new iron shaft. It is an A/R combo flew (a stepped FST 115) instead of Stiff, but then again I didn't just cut down the butt -- I cut off about 6 & 1/4" off the tip, stiffening it up plenty. I was going to leave either 6" or 9" between the hosel and the first step, and 9" felt flexy whereas 6" felt more like the original (flexing/gauging by hand, which: I did used to gauge roughly this way in archery with some accuracy over time). And I cut about 4" off the butt so that the whole putter was the original, comfortable length. The new shaft weighed the same as the original once cut. I got a nice Golf Pride classic putter grip since this is a vintage bronze Tour Model 103. An off brand I suppose, kinda like the budget new shaft, but a lot nicer than the pot metal Tour Model 103 of today. Totally different shape and weight distribution -- this bronze putter is the best all-feel, all-me, non-mallet putter I've ever used. Love it. Well, it might technically be a mallet, but very light comparatively. Thanks!

    Thanks... my beloved vintage brass/bronze/berylliumCu (something like that) putter has the weird, short, little hosel and made me wonder if it was a different procedure

    I have a Ping adjustable length putter which I hate. I'm having trouble finding a source to either buy a graphite or composite shaft. Any suggestions?

    Hi any tips on pulling a putter shaft on a head that has a pvd type finish? Worried when I heat up the hosel I could do some cosmetic damage. Thanks.

    Any idea how to remove a single bend shaft that is glued directly into the head?

    I have an old candle stick holder, the putter part has broke off from base. It's all putter. I would like to know who I would take it to in order to get it attached
    Thankyou

    Could you send a picture of the stuff that you use for mounting putter head and also grip?

    Are all tip diameters the same on putters? I have seen putters without hosels. I am guessing you can not change shafts without a hosel.

    Could you put a different kind of hossle on a taylor made Spider putter that has a straight shaft into the head. Idk the correct terminology but I prefer a bent hossle where the shaft meets the head. Similar to the putter in your hand in the beginning of this video. i dont want to pay for a new putter when i have a taylor made spider already just with the wrong hossle shape.

    • @AkshayPatel-sl9ir
      @AkshayPatel-sl9ir 3 года назад

      I'd assume some sort of mineral spirits, or maybe a low pct. alcohol

    I would only apply the flame to the shaft only so you don't discolor your putter.
