  • *disclaimer:, I am by no means stating anyone's methods for teaching 52 is wrong or right or that i have the "real 52" and others don't. I'm not here to promote that. all i seek is to share a method. there are other great teachers here like Lyte burley who may have a different method, this is the beauty of 52**
Peace this is part 2 of my method to teach 52. I have structured the blocks in a way that I feel is easy to learn and also to teach. Here I demonstrate just 10 blocks in their most basic form. No foot work, application nor sauce just the essence of each block. Now to note that these blocks can go in any order. But for the sake of learning, I think it's best that we start with this. If you have any question feel free to ask. To end I made this for brothers and sisters who want to learn the art but don't have a teacher. I don't mind sharing this but just credit ya bro ;) Peace!

It's amazing the similarities with 52 Blocks and many forms of kali, Silat, Muay Boran/Thai. It all flows together.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the bird hands block is to stop an overhand attack to perform a counter attack or to use the opponents momentum during the attack against them.
