I just bought this exact car and I can't get it insured anywhere, one of the only insurance company that does accept is wanting to charge me 900$ a month! Anyone else having trouble with this? Or any solutions?
I bought the same car in November. I live in Florida. I had no problem getting quotes from several insurers. Rate I was quoted for a 6 month premium ranged from $600 to $900. with decent coverage. I have an excellent driving record and credit. There is something definitely not right if you are being quoted $900.0 a month.
Silly to slope the back so much and not give you a hatchback. Decent mileage for a non-hybrid vehicle. Probably not good enough to move me from a hybrid Accord. Kia/Hyundai has closed the gap with Japanese brands; they are ahead in EV but still slightly behind in ICE. This level of car was 20k just a few years ago.

The "GT" trim is the performance version, not "GT-Line". K5 GT would be comparable to the vehicles you listed, not GT-Line
@@Aaronduhmoron hey That a Midsize Sedan
It looks nice and all, but I just can't buy a non-hybrid/ev in 2023 or the future especially with the ridiculous gas prices here in Cali!
What would be the main difference between the k5 and the normal ??
I still love my 2018 Kia Optima SXT, with technology package. Turn on turbo mode and zoom right to 100 mph hella fast.
Sounds like BS
As in you're trolling
Started with the K5 GT line 3 years ago put 46000 miles on it with no issues . Now I own a 24 GT . Only issue is wheel spin even at 40 mph
Don't drive in oily plases
@ce5163 I don't know what a plases is
Some new tires should help that.
Just about everyone is ahead on the EV game.
I was cross shopping between this, sonata and accord in 2019. Went with the accord, its just more comfortable drive especially with the hybrid trim
They didn’t want to step on the Stinger’s toes by doing another vehicle with a lift back. Although, the Stinger is now discontinued. But, I love the illusion of the lift back design
@@TrungNguyen-lk1ziNo, you weren't. The K5 did not exist in 2019.
@@sawyermartin4434my guess that you didnt know it was called Kia optima in the last gen right?
The K5 reminds me of the last generation Mitsubishi Galant. Great video Joe!
Excellent video Joe.
Love the red interior! I like the K5 GT! Great review Joe!
Got mine today and love it
K5 has got to be my favorite modern sedan, more so than BMW's 2020 M3. But it still never beats Honda's reliability and repairability.
Waiting on my wolf gray red interior with sunroof to come in as we speak
You are going to love it!
💯💯💯 keep going
Nice video keep up the good work Joe
I love the wolf gray exterior and red interior
I was looking at this before my final choice, but fake exhaust and no sun roof where a zonk. Nice looking car though. Mad Magazine YES 💯
You need to go to a higher trim to get the Sun and sound package. The GT-line is mid trim.
@@brokeboy87 I know Didn't want to spend more money
I got the 22 gt line.. premium package was around 4k so I got the panoramic roof
32k for K5 AWD and premium package w/panoramic still cheaper than a camry. I have seen certified 2022's with all of that for 27-28k low miles
@@AaronduhmoronI bought my 2021 K5 GT LINE with premium package at just the right time . Premium package was only another 1800 dollars, plus the passion red paint i think was 400 dollars extra. The total for the car was 28.800 brand new here in Southern California. Plus I qualified for thier 0.0 intrest promotion they were offering . Soon after, prices went up, now a GT LINE without the premium package is almost 30.000. And thier were no added markups then.. I love the car, just turned 30.000 miles at 2 and a half years. No issues.
The Camry does NOT have a CVT. It’s an 8 speed auto for every trim level.
Only the Hybrid Camry has an eCVT
FACTS
Yea that's what I thought when he said that wtf
YOUR BIGGEST KENYAN FAN RIGHT HERE, AS USUAL, 22/09/2023
Hi, Joe, this is an outstanding car Kia K5 GT line talking about the exterior will grey colour looks beautiful this colour is my favourite colour, especially in cars I like the tiger nose grille squeezed interior flare down on both sides however interior is also amazing I liked the way the fixed traditional way of t shapeshifter I liked that one 1.6 l turbocharged I line four 8 speed automatic transmission front wheel drive making 180 hp and 195 pound-feet of torque, moreover I watched review before just watching this review gt line full moon roof but this is the same gt line doesn't be the moon roof I'm little dizzy in here. Do you think this grey exterior does the red colour match I think a little odd feel of red and grey even though red always looks exclusive overall this is an upscale vehicle at this price point Thanks?
Joe and Lori and Steve and keep up the good work and I love the video 👍
There is an 8 speed automatic in Toyota Camrys no cvts unless you go for the hybrid Camry
A zonk for Edison lightbulb in turn signal in black
How’s the audio system ?
I have OCD so having the fake exhaust helps me feel good, symmetry is a god send 😂😂
I’m keeping my 22 accord 2.0 sport
I'll stick with my 2024 Toyota Camry Hybrid SE Nightshade Edition!
Joe, did the door grab dig hard into your left knee? I was very surprised by this on the test drive. Very uncomfortable.
I have the 2023 kia forte gt line and it’s get
Up and go is great in sport handles perfectly..I take it 75 thru pretty windy roads and on straight aways & 120 comes up quickly ..Im currently in early process of trading for the k5 gt next week..
Thanks for sharing that gre ownership input!
My K5 is my first car that doesn’t shake with heavy winds when on the highway
indicator with bulb not led. Unbelievable how they could did that
I will never understand why every car manufacturer thinks that red interior is what everyone is gonna love. I hate red actually. So many cars that I'm like "oh yeah looks great!" Then the red interior. Nope not for me now.
I agree. Luckily it isn’t standard.
Looks nice, hope to get one soon
I considered an Altima but this interests me more
So what are the best Kia models to get ?
Camry and Toyota forever!
junk with wheels falling off
The did a perfect job on the interior!
Kia and Toyota no comparison, Toyota most reliable car. Kia and Hyundai had many issues with their cars lately and recalls. Toyota all the way!
My wife bought a Kia k5 2025 hit a CURB and destroyed her suspension that would never happen with a Toyota Camry which I have I’ve had it for 3 years I’ve hit a median before no damage at all Kia still = cheap parts sorry Kia owners Toyota is the way to go
hate to say it, kia are cheaply made. wait until customer service on those kia.
Red seats are ❤️🔥 negotiating for this or Sorento now
Looks much better inside and outside than the Camry. Looking forward to seeing the next generation Camry
I'm one of those [Honda] guys that hates what they did with the new Accord. The K5 represents major value in it's segment compared to both Honda and Toyota. Were I in the market, I'd definitely consider it. In the meantime, I guess I'll just keep driving my 10th gen Accord until the wheels fall off!
As the proud lessee of a '21 Wolf Gray FWD K-5 that pinstripe drove me nuts, I knew something was off!
Will you upgrade to the 2025 refresh coming in early spring of 2024?
@@tbld2827 Absolutely.
is k5 lxs better than forte GT?
