That is why 00.00 is called midnight (the middle of the night) according to "Why we sleep". Humans are created to sleep around 8-9 pm. and wake up 4-5 am. however since the electric light bulb was invented, humans have pushed the time they go to bed, because we are kept artificially awake. So this makes a lot of sense! 👌🏼

I now have it down to get up, drink a tall glass of water, do some light yoga stretching with deep breathing and a lesson from the amazon workbook 30 Days to Overcome Procrastination by Corin Devaso which teaches meditation and mindfulness, take a cold shower, eat breakfast.

The only way I would improve this advice is to get up at 4:00 am. At 4, you will feel like you are waking up deep in nature. 5 am may be too late because life in a city, town or village starts to become active by 6:00 am, and you will lose the feeling of solitude and quiet. So 4:00 am is the perfect time to get up. Focus on the quiet and stillness. Write in your journal. Face what's essential. Interview yourself. Let go of the unimportant things, and they're almost all unimportant.

    ### The 5 am club helps you get up at 5am every morning, build a morning routine, and make time for the self-improvement you need to find success.
    1. Waking up at 5am will provide you with solitude and improved brain state to perform tasks like the pros and will help you grow in life faster than others.
    - If you want to be in the top 5% then stop acting like the rest 95%.
    2. Balance your 4 “interior empires” to achieve self mastery.
    1. Mindset
    2. Healthset
    3. Heartset
    4. Soulset
    3. Don’t waste time when you wake up. Use the 20-20-20 rule to use your time productively.
    1. 20 mins for exercise
    2. 20 mins for meditation, self reflection, journaling and pen down new ideas.
    3. Reading and self-learning.

@robin: For a long time (like 5 years) I am taking really seriously to wake up at 5AM. About 20/20/20, I faced with some problems such as: Vipassana meditation leads to meditator to medidate for an hour (not 20 min) or about running, I need 15 min to walk (to warm up) and them 1 hour running. so is it ok to have it in that way? maybe it is pitty, however, my mourning routine takes 5 hours in sum: am I doing something wrong?

This is great advice, but I don't completely agree with this book. I do agree it's important to have a routine, but everyone's biological clock is different based on their lifestyle. Some people do better by waking up at 3 AM, 5 AM, 6 AM, 8 AM, etc.

    • @FourMinuteBooks
      @FourMinuteBooks  Год назад +2

You are right! Some people (few but some) are indeed night owls who better work at night etc. It's a good routine to test but not one to adhere to at all costs if it just doesn't work for you (like all self-help, basically).

@@socarina5699 Think about it this way: If a 300 page book has 3 pages on it that, after you read them, change your life forever, wasn't that still a time and money investment worth making? But that's also what summaries are for, to try and save some of that time and get to the core message faster!

So, people who sleep at 9pm and wake up at 4 am have no social life? They can't go to parties and events because you need to sleep at 9. What if you are travelling and your flight is at 10 pm? How do you manage if you are sleepy by 9? You can't attend parties and socialize and so on. Because most of these events happen from 8 pm to 11 pm. It means that we have to sacrifice our activities with our friends and family just to go to bed at 9. What if your kid has exams and they are studying late night and they need you to accompany them during their late night study? Is it worth it? It's a huge scarifies. Yes you will succeed in life but how much time did you spend with your loved ones? And finally you'll die of regret not being there with your loved ones. Is life only about money and success? What did you succeed? You'll be left alone in life with lots of success and money but no social life, no activities with friends. Only work and sleep and money with zero friend experience. It's either this or that. I can't change others. My friends want me to hang out with them from 8 - 11 pm. And I'll be missing on them. My life will go on without them . Slowly I'll be anti social. So, it's a massive sacrifice. It's going to be very hard on your death bed. Don't you think? You'll be missing out on so many small things in life. Your life will be at odd times. Life is short, you never know who dies tomorrow. Spending time with your family and friends are more important than money and success. Both needs to be balanced. You can't change the whole world. So, it's your call. And waking up at 4am will come with a heavy price. You may enjoy it till you are in your 60's but after that you'll regret that you've wasted so much precious time and now it's time to die. By the time you realise what you've been missing in life, it's gonna be too late. You'll be distant and anti-social and boring. What are you gonna do with all that money you've earned? Your friends and family must be there to enjoy it with you but now you are old and boring and no one wants to be with you anymore. Just imagine! Gives me chills.

I disagree with this theory of waking up at 5am, i tried it for 2 weeks and i was never so sick in my whole life, my mind was all over the place, i had panic and i was nervous, i felt my days were ruined and it was like living a nightmare, once i went back to waking at 8 or 9 i regained peace and structure in my life and yes my life is a success, I am a professional on a great salary.
