Thanks Ajay! I looked at another instruction which was supercomplicated, and wouldn't have tried OBS on Zoom if I did not come across your video tutorial. Really straightforward. Thanks so much and I truly appreciate it!!!
Thanks...this worked seamlessly with my mac!! I stumbled upon your videos when doing research for setting up a livestream for a church service. Appreciate the content please continue doing the work...it is really helpful!!
Great post my man thanks! The only downside to this is if you want to broadcast desktop audio (say for a pre-recorded video transition). For that you want to use a tool called VB-Audio-Cable, change your monitoring output to VB output, and change your video audio source inside OBS (click the little gear icon next to the audio source => advanced audio properties, then click monitor and output on the dropdown). You'll need to do this for regular stream mic as well. Then, when in zoom, change your mic to CABLE-OUTPUT. This will pick up the correct audio information from the correct stream in your zoom meeting / webinar / live stream. It might be helpful my friend to toss up a video about that if you haven't already, I had to play and tinker with it for quite a while to figure that out on my own! Cheers my man thanks for the value!
Update Zoom to the newest version at it will find the virtual camera like described (it worked for me) cheers and thank you very much for this content.
Fortunately, there's a virtual audio cable for Macs: www.vb-audio.com/Cable/ that I would think you could set as the monitoring output device on OBS and the input/mic device in Zoom. Just don't forget to change the settings in OBS to monitor the audio and that *should* do the trick.

Hey AJ, I set the VB-cable to my output and the audio cable works as intended for me, but I can't hear anything from my computer. I think all the volume from zoom and other windows is just being sent straight back into the input. How can I fix this?
You will not be able to hear unless you set your speaker output in zoom to something else. I set mine to my regular speaker or headphones so I can hear what is going on in the call.
These instructions are not needed with the latest version of OBS (> 26.1). In fact, installing the plugin will cause OBS to crash. Virtual cam support is built in to OBS and can be started and stopped in the controls on the lower right of the window (using the default UI).
