HAVE YOU CHECKED OUT MY NEW “POSTCARDS FROM MY GOLDEN YEARS” MERCH?
    Here’s the link - postcards-from-my-golden-year...
Hi! I'm An Scott. I'm a happily retired 70 year old woman with my “golden years” on the horizon, living the “good life”, whatever that is on any given day, with my fun husband Jeff, and our “bossy” little Yorkie, Bella.
Now that my husband Jeff finally retired from his long career as an award winning Architect, we are finally moving from SW Florida, in the good old USA to Nice, France to live out our “golden years” on the sunny Mediterranean coast of southern France, in Nice France.
Moving from the USA to a foreign country is no small “project”. Through my videos, we’ll be taking you through the process, sharing the steps, talking about what we’ve learned and the ups and the downs.
SUBSCRIBE, FOR FREE, to my channel and as we progress through the steps of doing that, you’ll be able to follow along through each stage of our preparation and then catch up with us, as we settle in to our new life. We might even have some information you’re going to need if you’re also planning a move to France (or the EU)

Hi An & Jeff! Lovely video. A truly beautiful hotel and the bathrooms!! Wow!! Especially the men's room. That was super special to see as we ladies never get to go inside the men's room. It was so beautifully decorated with swords and all!! How fun. Those tiny lobster rolls looked yummy. Loved the doorman's hat with a feather on them. That was so cute. Thank you for sharing this experience with us. You have added another item to our list of " things to do when in Nice."

What a nice Sunday treat this was! Thank you for sharing. The hotel is beautiful, I look forward to seeing it in person soon. Just booked our 1st trip to Nice, we will be there in October. Can’t wait. We may “pick your brain” for ideas of places to visit.

Hello, thank you for your video. They are very useful .Can you please give us some information about a healthcare:
1.What is the quality of Healthcare in Côte d'Azur Are the hospitals well equipped for major surgeries, such as open-heart or spinal?
    2. What about long term care facilities for elderly people?
Are you able to do a video on this topic on your channel?

Unfortunately, we have 0 experience personally with healthcare in Nice or anywhere on the Cote d'Azur, other than my one experience at the dentist, in Nice, a few weeks ago. We aren't moving there until next week and are currently still on our US Medicare. We had to purchase a prepaid 1 year International Health Insurance policy to cover us for hospitalization and related expenses in case of an emergency. Hopefully we'll never need to use it. But we hope to get on the France national healthcare system in 4-5 mos (we can apply after we are living in France for 90 days), after we arrive officially, next week. However, I will say that one of the reasons we chose to move to France was because of the healthcare system in general. The IHO rates the France Healthcare System #1 in the world. Sadly, the US is #37. We wanted to be in a city that has a good hospital nearby. Just looking through the list of doctors and specialties on Doctolib, the website/app where you can make doctor's and dentist appointments in Nice, there are hundreds, if not thousands of doctors and dentists to select from, of all specialties. Nice, per se (I don't know about other places on the Cote d'Azur) is not starving for doctors like some small towns in the countryside in Nice. I was able to walk into a dental clinic 3 weeks ago without a dental appt and get an appt 1 1/2 hours later. We have never gone to the hospital, fortunately, but we've heard from a few people, and read reviews from other people, from time to time, that the hospital in Nice is very nice. The staff is very friendly. One person told us she took a visiting relative there for an emergency following a fall and they took great care of her and didn't even give her a bill. They called the person reporting the story, a few days later, to see how her relative was and get an address in Italy (the person was from Italy) to send the bill too. Medical costs in France are very low compared to the US. I have no information on what surgeries they are equipped for. We tend to do videos based on our own research and personal experiences. So, unless one of us has to go to the hospital for open-heart or spinal (God forbid!) surgery, I wouldn't feel knowledgeable enough to create a video about it or give you any information. There are numerous forums for Expats on Facebook and when I'm looking for that kind of information I go there hoping that someone who has actually experienced whatever it is can share their personal experiences. We have not done any research on long term care facilities for elderly people either. Frankly, we're hoping that we won't have to do any research on this, however, if and when the time ever comes that one or both of us has to think seriously about it (hopefully that's at least 15-20 years off. ) perhaps we will share information in a video. So, sorry I can't answer your questions. But thanks for watching this video and if you're thinking of making a move to the south of France in the near future, you may find my other videos on the preparation (that most people will have to make, as well) for our big move will be helpful. Again, they are from my research and our personal experiences as far as the steps necessary to move to France. All the best to you.
