I'd bet a godroll Ada is indeed referencing Siva, but not towards a future story line, but just the return of the Zero Hour Mission. Given we are going to her for the mission quest, its likely this will tie into how that is returning in lore like how Eris crafted the Whisper Of the Worm for us from a memory (as hand wavy as that is). That said, its not impossible this is referencing a new story line in the future. I know Bungie said they were done with Siva, but it wouldn't be the first time they went back on their word (like Cayde staying dead). Given Wrath of the Machine is the last D1 Raid that hasn't been brought into D2, Is very possible they create an episode based on Siva so they can use those assets to re-create that raid. Its a long shot though, so I'm not crossing my fingers at all.
Bungie word is evidently not final, with all the sunsetting getting reversed. SIVA might just be in their back pocket if Destiny ever starts dying 'too much'.

I felt so bad hearing Byf exploring all these cool elaborate possibilities for Ada-1’s Cosmodrome Plans, when it’s obviously just talking about the Zero Hour Reprisal she will give us 😭 2 Cool Facts about SIVA: Rasputin sent a Ship with an Unnamed Submind and SIVA far outside the Solar System, and we haven’t heard of them since… (and no, it’s not Exodus Black, that’s a Colony Ship) I don’t know why Byf often called the Devil Splicers as trying to “ascend into demigods” is the word ‘Demigod’ ever mentioned in Rise of Iron? I’m pretty certain that the Devil Splicers intentions wasn’t to become xeno Techpriests, rather outright Machine Gods. The badass looking Strike-Exclusive Warlock Bond “Sepiks Deposed Bond” has a description saying “Prime no longer. *No Primes but We.”* The Devil Splicers no longer saw the Servitors as Gods, but rather themselves. Aksis Prime was meant to be the first of many. Personally I’d LOVE for it to be revealed a copy of Atraks-1, Fallen Exo survived, and she found Europe’s SIVA Replication Complex, succeeding where Eramis failed, granting the Fallen freedom from subservience to Light or Dark. Just as Atraks said during the early Eramis era *“I see what the Devils can be.”*
Ada-1s plan probably does involve the zero hour mission returning, but I think she’s clearly talking about restarting the production of SIVA entirely. Zero hour took place in the old tower, but the SIVA foundry is located in the plaguelands of the cosmodrome
To answer your question about the splicers, to us yes they are just looking for body augmentation. However when Byf refers to them as Demigods, its because thats how THEY see themselves. Eliksni worship technology thats why aksis was referred to as achieving godhood.
Back in D1 I always thought that Siva would make a great Kinetic subclass. Now, in D2 with 3 Light, 2 Dark and Prismatic subclasses, i yet again feel like a kinetic subclass would be suitable.
It’s surreal to go back even a month before the final shape and see how much it’s changed already. The witnesses forces just don’t exist now feels weird that there’s no mass pushback by a major villain
Byf, the D1 veterans always remember the plaguelands. Felwinters Peak, becoming Young Wolves, hating getting stomped by those enemies so you go to the Cosmodrome to stomp Light Level 5 enemies.. (at least, that's what I did to make me feel better..😂)
Imagine a season of siva after the final shape where you can pick a foundry and pledge support to it throughout the season and try to get as much siva stuff for them as possible.
Episode 1: Echoes Echoes in this context could represent the past something that previously was of interest something that could be used even now and S.I.V.A. would fit this description
I’ve been watching so many of your videos, I really appreciate the time and effort you’ve put into this. I recently started playing and I realized there was a lot of main quest lines missing and the time line feels awkward, so finding you was a relief. I enjoy the game and find the story interesting wish they’d leave the quest lines from d1 in d2
Shaxx and his history/lore is some of my favourite content in the game, even tho i dont normally engage with the crucible, he reamins my favourite character in the game
ya know that might explain why ada is the quest holder for the zero hour quests she's having us gather siva nanties while upgrading the outbreak perfected
Itd be really neat if Ada had help from the Cloudstrider/Neomuni & updated the Last City’s architecture, the Tower with a look like Neomuna would be really cool
The only reason why I don’t think it’s the revival of the exodus program or the activation of the last array is because who she is suggesting this to. If it was the Vanguard, that would be the best option but it’s representatives of weapon foundries. Therefore it’s either ikelos tech or everyone’s personal favorite being the reclaimation of SIVA
Imagine an episode with a set of siva inspired black armory weapons and armor. On top of wrath of the machine coming back. Thats a wet dream and a half.
Hey Byf, can you make a video before the final shape that essentially explains the teams. Like who's on what side, where is each character right now, who's fighting for what at this exact moment in the story?
I know it was just an Easter egg but that potential guardian in a pod that was referencing Master Chief that wanted to sleep just a bit longer. And any other potential guardians that haven’t been claimed yet in the cosmodrome… *cough* Amanda *cough*
I find it odd that 2 onslaught maps are located in the cosmodrome (mothyards & felwinters peek). It's almost like the witness knows how valuable the cosmodrome is.
Mithrax using Siva to upgrade Eliksni weapons to help fight in the Traveler and beyond or going into a Taniks style super mode. Gosh I want that so bad.
Im glad im not the only one wondering about siva. The fact being that sunsetting makes it really hard to flesh out the world. I miss the RoI days and grinding wrath of the machine. Lore wise that would be *really good* considering we only have the 1 siva weapon
Idk if this fits the bill, but the first thing my mind went to with "Cosmadrome Project" was warmind cell tech. That would be a weapon/tech that was gotten rid of.
I said a while back "what if they added a siva reskin to Scourge of the Past," id be down for them changing wrath of the machine to have Ada-1 take back the pleaguelands through the re-release of Wrath of the Machine.
Something I thought about when you were talking about Elsie and her relationship with time. Elsie saw many versions of this war in each of the timelines she visited, but does the Witness have this same level of knowledge? Does he know each way he destroyed humanity in every timeline? In order to either maximize human suffering and/or not use the same tactic twice so as to avoid someone like Elsie being able to stop him. I wonder if the Witness has any control over time at all, or is even aware of it. I know super powerful beings aren’t always aware of time in the same way we are, as being immortal lends a certain care free attitude towards time. It’s also entirely possible you’ve made a video about this that I’ve missed…
18:51 I mean... which of those sounds more like a more justifiable gameplay loop? SIVA being dormant, or SIVA doing a whole bunch of repeating patterns at semi-random intervals?
Let's imagine for a second that the vex get their hands on SIVA as their counter to paracausality, to build them back up as the next big threat. If any technology could make up for their deficiency vs guardians, SIVA is it. My oh my that would be spicy.
We definitely need to secure Siva. I've been thinking about Siva for the entirety of D2 because it is a HUGE asset capable of so many things. I'm also worried that Clovis Bray might try and get ahold of Siva because that would work perfectly with him... Clovis takes the spot of Rasputin and commands Siva. I would like to see all those programs come back to life and if we defeat the Witness, humanity can have a second golden age. Anyways, great video Byf!!

I’ve never clicked on a video faster than when seeing the SIVA symbol. Thank you Byf!
“On my oath, these walls will never fall again.” Somehow that hit me in the feels slightly.
"This team will never lose again" -Shoresy
I love the lore tab on Elsie Rifle. Lord Shax is the man
"Is there something I'm missing in the Cosmodrome?"
*Shaw Han dramatically enters*
Byf: I genuinely think its SIVA
The Plaguegang: So you're telling me theres a chance!?
Byf: Is there anything else I’m missing?
Me: Pocket Infinity
tbh given the context i kinda just thought they meant khvostov. But my beloved ada-1 returning to the scene as a siva monarch would make me very happy
Rasputin and the warmind tech, there’s also a weird hive cave above where the seraphim vault is in.
Maybe Ada is thinking of using Black Armory Forges alongside Seraph Bunkers and SIVA tech to create some sort of Quicksilver/Neomuna like weapons
I miss running patrols in the Plague Lands. But also, now I NEED a Redjack spinoff series similar to Star Wars Clone Wars
I felt so bad hearing Byf exploring all these cool elaborate possibilities for Ada-1’s Cosmodrome Plans, when it’s obviously just talking about the Zero Hour Reprisal she will give us 😭
2 Cool Facts about SIVA: Rasputin sent a Ship with an Unnamed Submind and SIVA far outside the Solar System, and we haven’t heard of them since… (and no, it’s not Exodus Black, that’s a Colony Ship)
I don’t know why Byf often called the Devil Splicers as trying to “ascend into demigods” is the word ‘Demigod’ ever mentioned in Rise of Iron?
Just as Atraks said during the early Eramis era
*“I see what the Devils can be.”*
zero hour doesnt take place in the cosmodrome so no
Ada-1s plan probably does involve the zero hour mission returning, but I think she’s clearly talking about restarting the production of SIVA entirely.
An unnamed submind…… would laugh if it was a back up of rasputin just incase he had to do the sacrifice…………. I miss my warmind….
Listen to when Shiro says, the machine priest Aksis calls themself a god. They viewed themselves as such.
“There are so few ballet fans left, Guardian. It'd be a shame not to re-boot him".
- Siva May return
Me: - Don't... Don't give me hope
Byf! You speak so clearly that on 1.25 speed, you sound crystal clear. Soothing legend.
i think ada is mentioning the khvostov in that lore tab. Because when a weapon is designed by a military. it's called a program.
Fun note for those red jacks, Shaxx used them to take a fleet of Red Legion ships back in the day.
Bungie's ultimate plan was to bring BRAVE and unsunset weapons back so that we're finally powercrept enough to reasonably bring back SIVA.
Episode 1: Echoes
Echoes in this context could represent the past something that previously was of interest something that could be used even now and S.I.V.A. would fit this description
Dying at even Byf calling it a scaled back Recluse
Lord Shax had alot of help with creating those brave weapons. Lord Shax i hope get an opportunity to fight in a cutscene i want to see his moves.
the most important thing in the cosmodrome is OBVIOUSLY Shaw Han (he will solo the witness)
We'll have to pick him up like an orb and dunk shaw han on the witness
I’ve been watching so many of your videos, I really appreciate the time and effort you’ve put into this. I recently started playing and I realized there was a lot of main quest lines missing and the time line feels awkward, so finding you was a relief. I enjoy the game and
find the story interesting wish they’d leave the quest lines from d1 in d2
There’s also the other body in the stasis pods that the ghost says has an a really large amount of light
Shaxx and his history/lore is some of my favourite content in the game, even tho i dont normally engage with the crucible, he reamins my favourite character in the game
This makes sense as she is going to be the person giving us the Zero Hour quest stuff as well
I'm calling it now... kovastov is the weapon she's working on.
ya know that might explain why ada is the quest holder for the zero hour quests she's having us gather siva nanties while upgrading the outbreak perfected
*Byf mentions SIVA*
Me: Don't do that. Don't give me hope.
SIVA MENTIONED
Itd be really neat if Ada had help from the Cloudstrider/Neomuni & updated the Last City’s architecture, the Tower with a look like Neomuna would be really cool
I get so emotional with Byf’s outro
Ada's tired of threadweaving, she craves the forge.
A lot of people think the husk’s chest worm is a hint that bungie is making the code to have devil splicers back for wrath of the machine
I honestly think the weapon foundries are actually going to find the original khvostov factory introduce a whole line of legendary khvostov weapons
Remember the Exodus Ship inside the Traveler? That one scene from the Trailer? Maybe that has something to do with it as well?
The only reason why I don’t think it’s the revival of the exodus program or the activation of the last array is because who she is suggesting this to. If it was the Vanguard, that would be the best option but it’s representatives of weapon foundries. Therefore it’s either ikelos tech or everyone’s personal favorite being the reclaimation of SIVA
Imagine an episode with a set of siva inspired black armory weapons and armor. On top of wrath of the machine coming back. Thats a wet dream and a half.
Our secret weapon Shaw Han is what Ada is talking about
Hey Byf, can you make a video before the final shape that essentially explains the teams. Like who's on what side, where is each character right now, who's fighting for what at this exact moment in the story?
Lets not forget about SIVA that still might be in bunkers underneath the Cosmodrome too. Some of the guns may have been reconstructed using SIVA
I know it was just an Easter egg but that potential guardian in a pod that was referencing Master Chief that wanted to sleep just a bit longer.
And any other potential guardians that haven’t been claimed yet in the cosmodrome… *cough* Amanda *cough*
Makes Sense that it is SIVA, since we get the Outbreak Mission from Ada-1. Could be a connecting thread
What if they created a new warmind? Maybe upgrade Failsafe to the task.
Ada-1 is foreshadowing the returning Outbreak Perfected mission.
I find it odd that 2 onslaught maps are located in the cosmodrome (mothyards & felwinters peek). It's almost like the witness knows how valuable the cosmodrome is.
Imagine a Destiny 3 release, and among the first missions is going into the Cosmodrome on behalf of the Exo Stranger to restore the Last Array.
I think the use of those exodus ships will connect Destiny with Marathon
Aiding in securing SIVA would be an excellent way for Mithrax as a Splicer to help in, and fortifying his survivability.
Mithrax using Siva to upgrade Eliksni weapons to help fight in the Traveler and beyond or going into a Taniks style super mode. Gosh I want that so bad.
I'm glad guardians have finally domesticated the deadly scorpius turret
Right off the bat, Guardians having a killstreak of hive like old times.
We are so back it’s like we never left!
Ada, Mithrax, and L--I mean uhh the Drifter--could each do an unimaginable number of things with SIVA.
Lightfall placeholder Khvostov may be an actual Khvostov this time.
Nice subtle nod to the next TSLAYP video
One thing I wonder about into the light: Wasn‘t it said that the witness has no control over his forces since they vanished into the traveller?
