My neighbors are outside all evening and night and mosquitoes never bother them.
Mosquitoes are not attracted to cigarette smoke and alcohol. That’s what I discovered from my scientific research.

Great video. I have a Dynatrap mosquito trap but it only get moths and other pests. Somehow the skeeters know to avoid it. Going to try those Spartan traps and then the pesticide if I have to. I already use dunks in a couple of areas.

I had the same experience with Dynatraps. Just a way to kill innocent moths.

Btw the mosquito dunks folks also make a product falled mosquito bites which are smaller granules. I like to use the bite for smaller containers or grates where its hard to get a round mosquitoes dunk into.

Per laboratory tests commissioned by Spartan Mosquito, the tubes do not produce enough carbon dioxide to attract mosquitoes. Also, the active ingredient in the Spartan Mosquito Pro Tech is boric acid, not salt. But the active ingredient doesn't really matter given that no mosquitoes are attracted to the tubes in the first place (and thus no mosquito is going to go through the small holes and drink the fluid inside). Anyone can easily confirm this by looking at the tubes when you approach them: there will not be a cloud of mosquitoes around the cap. The lack of attractiveness is why the company is paying $3.6 million to settle a class-action lawsuit. They have another 18 months to make the tubes but then have to stop. They already agreed to stop making the Spartan Mosquito Eradicator (the version with salt).
