    These all-in-ones seem to be getting better and better. If I was in the market for a new set of bulbs, these would probably be at the top of my list.

    Fabulous overview as always.
    I'm still convinced that the SV-4 (and its clones?) would produce a superior beam pattern in the reflector to anything you've previously tested.

However, by buying through Amazon at geni.us/firehawkled still helps the channel a little bit. Why ( or is there a list? ) do all these led light manufacturers make only 6000 or 6500k temp? Useless in any rainy places. I cannot find a reasonably priced bulb with a 4500K temp.

    • @CarLightReviews
      @CarLightReviews  Год назад

      That's a good question. I don't know of the answer exactly...but I can take a guess. I think that because most buyers think that whiter = brighter = better, that's the selling point by the manufacturers. However, there are a few companies that to make lights that are lower on the color scale. DDM Tuning is one of them.

    They started to fade after 27min? Disconcerting i just ordered a set to upgrade my colorado for a 7 hour drive through the rockie mountains in canada, do they dip out enough that they are weak. I bought high and low beams. Will they dip less than my factory halogens?

    • @CarLightReviews
      @CarLightReviews  4 месяца назад

      Not exactly. They typically level off after a few minutes to several minutes, but almost always before the 27 minute mark. That's what the driver does, it regulates the brightness so it doesn't overheat. Some lights are better at it than others.

    • @MisterMister5893

      @@CarLightReviewswhy do lights dim after a while and is it inherent with led or all types,of lighting? I doubt the aberration is perceptible to the naked eye but I don’t know.

    • @CarLightReviews
      @CarLightReviews  Месяц назад

      @@MisterMister5893 Heat is not good for electronic devices. The hotter they get, the shorter they live. This is sometimes known as "thermal aging." To prevent this, most of the lights that I test have cooling mechanisms to manage temperature and maintain brightness, usually fans and internal or external drivers (AKA controller boxes). When an LED headlight has better engineering and better components, the less it dims over time, and in theory, the more brightness and longevity it has overall.

      You have to define "better". What is most important in an LED lighting upgrade for YOUR needs? Brightness? Value? Quality? Pick two of the three. Then, take a look at my spreadsheet at carlightreviews.com/headlightspecs and review/compare the data based on the two categories you chose. That should help!

    • @CarLightReviews
      @CarLightReviews  Год назад

      From the sounds of it, you likely need an canbus decoder. This is due to your vehicle system and not usually a fault of the lights. Something like this might fix it: amzn.to/3gzyABU

      Define "best". Best price? Best brightness? Best beam pattern?

    • @MisterMister5893
      @MisterMister5893 Месяц назад

      I don't know if it's the pair I received but the F15 from Auxbeam has been trash. They looked good at first but after 2 weeks, it's starting to fade. Just ordered the Hikari Hyuperstar so I'm hoping double the price will mean better quality.
      To Auxbeam's credit, they sent me a second pair because the first had one bulb DOA and also sent out their anti flicker module when I said the bulbs were flickering. All free of charge so at least their customer service is top tier.

    • @CarLightReviews
      @CarLightReviews  Год назад

      @@Sahin-ed4bp Typically, you can hear most LED light upgrades with fans when you are outside the car when they are powered up. I think that is a GOOD thing...while fan failures are rare, it is nice to hear when they are doing their job. However, I do mention if fan seems louder than average. But that is definitely subjective, everyone's definition of "loud" is different.
