▬ A NOTE ON USING LED LIGHTS AS HALOGEN BULB REPLACEMENTS ▬
Check the aim of your headlights at least once a year and always after replacing the bulbs.
If you install an LED and the cutoff is bad or you can’t aim them accurately or the light output scatters too much, it is not safe to use. Try a different style of LED or one with a lower output that will be more compatible with your light housing. See my other videos for more reviews.
When I use the word “headlights”, I am referring to legal off-road use or fog light use only as replacing factory halogen bulbs with LEDs for headlights in the US is not currently legal nor a DOT approved practice. This video is only for informational purposes for using LED lights legally. Check your local laws and regulations.

I have watched videos on your other channel. The fact that you reply to peoples comments and questions is a testament to your sincerity and commitment to why you produce these videos. .I know you are not obligated to, but you do and that says a lot for your integrity. Who ever raised you did a great job as well.
Thanks! Did my mom or dad put you up this this? 😄 I made this channel to help as best as I can...and have a little fun doing it.
Great review!
Thank you for showing off your findings in a clear and well explained fashion!
Thank YOU for making one awesome LED light!
Is it possible to buy a replacement bulb as on of mine has stopped working
@@lllJPlll yes on headlight revolution they are on sale. Look at the sale section they are 60 instead of 100
Great Video bro. Keep that amazing work.
Thanks, will do! :)
Amazing review! Subscribed !
Thanks for the sub!
Great and professional review!
Thanks!
I have had one of these on my motorcycle for awhile now. It's great
I have them on my 2017 pathfinder since they came out , low and high beam , man can’t be any happier , they perform even better than hid , I tried so many led and hid for Nissan but this one’s are one of the best for light output beam pattern and quality and that lifetime warranty man love them , by the time u spend so much money bying cheap Led bulbs and try to find the right one , buy this gtr led and ur set for probably lifetime with that lifetime warranty, over 3 years now no problem
I've been testing LED headlight replacement upgrades for many years now, and I have found that there is a precarious balance between price, quality, and output. You can only pick two. This one covers the last two...and does it exceptionally. :)
@@CarLightReviews As we used to say when I worked in an engineering company years ago, there are 3 attributes of any project. There is speed, quality, and cost. You can only have 2 of the 3 at the same time. For example, a project can be done well and quick, but it won't be cheap. You can have it done cheaply and well, but it won't be done quickly. Etc.
These lights are worth it. A pair of decent D1S xenon bulbs are roughly the same cost and you can get similar performance for a headlight originally intended for halogen bulbs with a lifetime warranty. I'm sold.
They are indeed great lights. I am hoping they are working on a new version.

Are you sure the main unit was 128F? that is very cold, colder than the driver. I never see such thing.
@@rondhole I did my best to be as accurate as I could be with my laser thermometer. However, I wanted to make it more accurate which is why recently I started using a Flir thermal camera to take my temperature measurements.
@@CarLightReviews These days you list the main unit temperature at the center of the LED chip. Did you also do the same measurement on this GTR Ultra 2 and Bevinsee V45 or V35? I am afraid, I misunderstood how you measure the main unit. Is it average temperature in the main unit or the max temperature on the chip?
@@rondhole I used to use a handheld laser thermometer to see if I could find the hottest point of the light. It did the job but I felt that it wasn't the most accurate. So I bought a Flir thermal camera starting with ruclips.net/video/aKpKBcXi470/видео.html I used that to test temperature and was able to show the video of it. This is mentioned in the spreadsheet that I update which is linked in the description above.
@@CarLightReviews Thanks, man. I wish you have also the data with the same thermometer because the range is almost double for the main unit with the new method.
Thank you for this video.
Glad it was helpful!
Fantastic review my friend, made my mind up 😊❤👏👏👏👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Thank you! 👍
Fantastic review bro. They need to make a model with a 4500K chip. They have a 2200k and a 6000K. 4500k right in the middle man. It would be that great OEM HID color which I prefer.
I know a lot of people like the stock color temperature but the LED output. I think they will see this comment.
Have you seen the Bulbtek X6? They have a crazy triangular LED setup and are projector only. The beam pattern was genuinely literally perfect with no dark spot that LED bulbs have, and are *absurdly* bright! I actually ended up returning mine as I found they were too bright and I was scared that people just looking at my car would be distracted.
You should test the Sv4 LEDs next !
Thanks for the review as always, Jason. One more bulb I'm eager to see still is the SV-4 compared to its Amazon clones like the Katana.
I know you have asked for that quite a few times, so don't think I haven't made a note of it! :) IMO the S.V-4 and clones are becoming a bit outdated. What do you think? Feel free to tell me if I am mistaken or don't get them enough credit.
@@CarLightReviewsI much appreciate this review of the Ultra 2. Was honestly very curious for a long time about its realistic light output and pattern in different housings.
Your bulb/product reviews have been really helpful, thanks.
@@CarLightReviews Regarding the SV-4, I do agree that it's by far not the brightest LED bulb out there when speaking sheer output and yes - slightly outdated in comparison.
However, it still remains one of best options when it comes to proper beam pattern. The SV-4 was first to introduce that particular chip design into the lighting market and everyone else followed not long after. The reason it's special is the tiny dimensions of the diode help it to be placed exactly at the right point in space, letting the bulb replicate OEM beam pattern nearly exactly and at times better.
The above is mainly true more for reflector type housings than projectors as well as there's more of the former than the latter on the road at the moment.
@@contagiousingenuityagency5273 Thanks. I always appreciate your thoughts. I've got an idea but I am not sure if it will go anywhere. I need to do some research... As always, thanks again.
@@CarLightReviews Oh no, thank you! I always learn a ton from your findings. Keep it up!
Thanks for the review and great video. I've had these GTR Ultra 2 LED's in my 2020 Charger Widebody since Nov 2020 and they have been perfect!!! Zero issues and perfect brightness and beam pattern. If you're on the fence well don't be. Best $200 i've spent on my car.
Thanks for the confirmation! They do seem to be great lights.
@Car Light Reviews do u think there's gonna be a ultra 3 soon? Or should I just buy these for my Charger Rt 2021
@@juancarlos7840 I have not heard anything about version 3, I was just saying that if they are working on one, I can't wait to see how they can top the version 2. I'd say go for it...if they come out with a new version one day, you can likely sell them and get some of your money back.
@@juancarlos7840 I don't think they could get much better then the Ultra 2's.. I even purchased the anti flicker modules and didn't even need them. Not one issue in my Charger Scat Widebody.
Thx guys! Ordering mines today
I would love to see a back to back comparison (same equipment, settings, time, etc) against the DDM Tuning 55w saber prox v2. I saw your test on the DDM Tuning one and wondering which is better
Thanks for this. I have been running the DDM Tuning Saber 55W ProX Accu/V2 in my personal vehicle since I made that video (ruclips.net/video/Bpa7KwJ262A/видео.html for those who haven't seen it) on my other channel almost a year ago. I have been very happy with it, but i still wonder how it compares to newer released LED lights on _THIS_ channel. I am looking into it, thanks for the suggestion!
Bro, is it possible if 60 w 30 e each bulb throw better lumens around 18 k brighter than 100w set with 16k lumens???
Recommend any dual color or multi color BRIGHT LED fog lights?
I have 2004 Dodge 1500 2wd. What LED would you recommend for it? High and low beam bulb. Tks Andy
Thanks man
You're welcome!
Are they compatible as a DRL as well?
Does it make sense to compare this to the auxbeam gx? Or are they in different leagues? Seems that the heat management properties and warranty are significantly better in the GTR. Or am I misreading the spreadsheet?
You're right. While the Auxbeam GX is newer and brighter, it doesn't have the lifetime warranty nor the better heat management that the GTR has. The GTR has much better reflector light control. However, the GX is less than half the cost.
Great review, as always. Would love to see some h11 hid bulb comparisons some time.
Coming soon! I have a set that I will start my initial testing with in the very near future. Stay tuned!
@@CarLightReviews please also add a high performance halogen bulb to that comparasion. Something that has the same wattage, but +1xx% performance.
@@Mso94 That's a neat idea. What is considered a high performance halogen these days? It has literally been years since I bought one. :D
@@CarLightReviews a Philips +150% or similar from osram, Bosch etc. You can try the GE +130 because it is easier to find and it is one of the brightest h11 halogen.
@@Mso94 Do me a favor? Fire me some Amazon product links to info@carlightreviews.com of what you think would be a good halogen shootout. I'd say 5-7 of them that you'd suggest.
Great video was on the fence about buying these because of the price tag but now im sold my question for you so on the reflector headlight did you have to use a anti-flicker harnesses? The reason I ask is because on there website it states it's Optional if I need to buy it I would rather get it now versus trying to install and doesn't work and I need to get them thanks in advance
The need for an anti-flicker harness is dependent on the vehicle. I would check your favorite forum or Facebook group and see if you need one.
I know I'm a year late but I purchased the gtr 2 l.e.d for my 2014 acura tl 3.7 in the 9005 daytime running application & didn't need the anti flicker adapter even though I did purchase just incase & headlight revolution sent wrong adapter out so I couldn't have used it if I needed it, sent back for a full refund & had no issue's. Over all I'm extremely happy with the gtr 2 l.e.d . Now I wish that I could get gtr 2 for my head light projector oem h.i.d's but headlight revolution says that the gtr 2 h.i.d's bulbs won't fit my vehicle. What's your thoughts???
Great review man. Question on these. Are they 220 for the pair or for each one?
Per pair. And right now, they are under $200 on Amazon geni.us/gtrlighting
lol dumbo...
Nice review. I learned what I needed. Also You said “brights are lighter”
Glad it was helpful. The way I see it, a Timex tells time, so does a Rolex. These is great lights. And I did notice my flub when I was editing! I thought it was ridiculous to spend 200+ on a set of headlight bulbs but considering I have a 30 min drive at night, with deers and critters running around, I bite the bullet a few years back. Worth it. The brightest and farthest lights I've seen. I've only ever came across a hand full of cars with a farther or brighter beam than mines. Only negative is after 2 years the lights aren't as bright.
I think it's worth for a try since the warranty is lifetime !! No joke,,,and is serious product! I guess I would give it a try!
Lol you got ripped off
The lights are probably just as bright as ever, but they have somehow burned your retinas as a result of their brightness period
There's no 's' in deer. It's one deer and it's a dozen deer.
@@368engbn[grammar police have entered the chat]
Have you ever tested the Ultra CSP mini without the driver and all that? I’m just wondering if they are bright enough for H7 low beams because they are plug and play with no big fan on the end
I drive a 2022 Gladiator. What about roadtrips with night driving. This loses brightness you said, does that effect brightness at night? Great video by the way
Yes, all LED lights dim which means less night output. However, it is important to understand that the loss is regulated by the driver, and most level off after a few minutes.
I bought these on multiple occasions, but I'm all honesty, if you have reflector housing, don't get LED at all. I don't think reflectors are capable of handling that much light without throwing it in places you don't want it. I had to adjust the hell out of my headlights so i want bonding incoming traffic, and even then i still get flashed like my brights are on. I'm my car with projectors, tho. Amazing. Definitely recommend. If you got reflectors, get a projector retrofit kit, it's the only safe reasonable way to take advantage of good LED lights
Can You Make A Comparison Of The GTR Lighting 2.0 Vs Morimoto 2Stroke 3.0??? What Would Your Preference Be And Why??? Asking For A Potential Future Car.
I did previously test the Morimoto 2Stroke 3.0 on my other channel, using slightly different testing methods: ruclips.net/video/0N9419LxeIU/видео.html
If going in a reflector, I would use the 2Stroke for sure. Otherwise, if you want brightness, I would go with the GTR.
I have a 2014 Ford Edge SEL V6 bulb 9012. I am concerned whether the bulb and driver will fit in the housing and still allow the dust cap to snap back on. Also, how noisy is the fan? Can it be heard when driving with windows open? Thanks.
Hard to say about fitment since I don't have your vehicle to verify. It might help to watch this video on my other channel: ruclips.net/video/uwUIePSEUco/видео.html
You won't hear the fan when the engine is running and you are in the driver seat. However, if your lights stay on when you turn the engine off and you exit the vehicle...you will hear it like you will hear most LED headlights with a fan. Not a big deal at all. In fact, I think it is good to hear because while fan failures are rare, it is assurance they are indeed working after a drive.
Great review. What LED headlight do you recommend besides this one?!
That depends on a few factors. First, what is your budget and second, what to you value the most in an LED upgrade? Brightness, quality, heat management, etc.?
@@CarLightReviews around this price point is perfectly fine. I value brightness over all honestly. Not any crazy hot spots. Good cutoff. I have a Projector housing!
@@randyl699 I don't think I have tested any with a higher price point than the one in this video. So for the price range (other than the one in this video), I like the DDM Tuning Saber ProX 55W Accu/V2 ruclips.net/video/Bpa7KwJ262A/видео.html and the Morimoto 2-Stroke 3.0 ruclips.net/video/0N9419LxeIU/видео.html
How this compare to the DiodeDynamics Sl1 H11
What are some good DRL lights?
Jason, for a 2020 dodge challenger rt that comes with halogen. Which brand would work better, and give me the best beam pattern ? The Gtr ultra 2, or the Morimoto 2.0 ?
Thanks
Unfortunately, I can't suggest a recommendation for specific vehicles as I can't test them all, I am sorry to say. That's why I can offer a baseline reference. However, I do suggest that you review my headlight data spreadsheet here: carlightreviews.com/headlightspecs and use that data to guide your decision. Sorry I cannot be more specific to your needs!
i just order for my truck but showing 2 yrs warranty is GTR reliable/durable headlight led bulb?
I believe that this light is engineered very well with above average components. Where do you see it is a 2 year warranty? The GTR website still states lifetime warranty.
would these fit in a 2022 ford ranger xlt with the dust cap ? any help would be appreciated…also when looking for a bright bulb your looking at the amount of lumens correct?
I wish I could tell you, I don't know how large your dust caps are. I always suggest that you consult your favorite social media group or message board specific to your vehicle.
Hello, which would you recommend for Projector headlights? GTR ULTRA 2 or DDM TUNING accu/v2? HB3/9005
That's a tough call. I really like both but the DDM Tuning Accu/V2 is a dang fine light for the money. It doesn't have quite the same quality and warranty as the GTR Ultra 2. I'd let your budget decide between the two.
I love these... absolutely fantastic. Wish they came in about 4300k... about there. However, I don’t think any automotive LED bulb is available in that colour temperature.
DDM Tuning makes good lights in the 4500k color. I reviewed the Saber ProX 55W Accu/V2 here and I really like it: ruclips.net/video/Bpa7KwJ262A/видео.html
You had mentioned that the LED module would decrease in lux after a certain time, 27 minutes. I drive over 3-4 hours for a period of time. Does the lux diminish significantly over a period of time? Thanks
Most lights I have tested level off before the 27 minute mark and no longer reduce the light output much. This was no exception, I would not expect it to continue dimming after very long at all, it seemed to have very good heat management and leveled off quickly.
@@CarLightReviews Thanks. Keep up the great work!
We usually set the LED to face 9 and 3 clock direction. then we will get a lil bit of blankspot on 12 and 6 o'clock direction. is the size of blankspot realy matter that much?
In a projector or reflector?
@@CarLightReviews in a reflector
@@nerdengineer644 Take a look at the "lines" molded in the reflector. If they are vertical, then yes...the emitters should be pointing left and right (9 and 3) with the "core" up and down (12 and 6). However, if the lines are on an angle, adjust the rotation of the light so the emitters fire as perpendicular to those lines as possible.
I just ordered the bevinsee v45 which you have reviewed. How do they stack up against the GTR
That's an easy question to answer...with data! 😁 Have a look at this: carlightreviews.com/headlightspecs
Look closely at columns T, X, AA and AB. Let me know if you have any questions from there!
A question about wattage, when you read about these LED light bulbs, you see wattage as 60W, but it does not tell you if it is for one bulb, or a combined wattage for two bulbs. If it means 60w for two, then we only get of course, 30w per bulb. If my original bulbs are rated to work at 45/55w, then the led bulbs will be at the wrong wattage at either 30w or 60w each bulb, so what am I missing here, just asking.
It varies on how the manufacturer publishes the numbers. Most combine them to show a big number in the product title, and then specify in the description that is actually half that number per light. I do my research before I test to see what the published number is _per light_ and then mention the actual number according to my testing.
Most LEDs use less wattage than the equivalent halogen bulb for brighter light output. I wouldn't worry if it uses less wattage, I'd worry a lot if it uses more as that could fry your cables.
@@zahimiibrahim3602 Thank you for the information.
Large fan this needs to be more compact to fit behind dust covers.
Will they work on a 07 Hyundai entourage limited with a wire clip retainer H7 bulb?
In these situations, I always suggest that you consult your favorite social media group or message board specific to your vehicle.
Would you choose these over the s-v.4 lights?
I haven't tested the S-V.4s...yet. :)
Compared to morimoto 2stroke 3.0 as a 9005 high beam or H11 fog light?
I did a review and test of the Morimoto 2Stroke 3.0 on my other channel here: ruclips.net/video/0N9419LxeIU/видео.html Slightly different test method, so you can't compare output numbers, but it will help you get an idea. It is also a GREAT light.
I plan on buying them for my semi truck don't know if they will held up to the weather elements
They should hold up just fine and they are made of premium materials. Not to mention, you have the lifetime warranty to back it up.
Are these street legal?? They seem super bright and have a high lumen amount too. Also, can you put these in a halogen assembly to replace halogen bulbs with LEDs?
Replacing factory halogen bulbs with LEDs for on-road use as headlights in the US is not currently legal nor a DOT approved practice.
Put these in my 2020 skyline gtr love them.
Awesome. I am somewhat surprised that your car doesn’t already have LED headlights from the factory.
what causes headlight LEDs to go on & off in car's . My right headlights are always on but the left side goes on & off every half hour or so. I changed the bulbs and still the same thing. what is going on??? I have a 2004 Volvo non-turbo.
is this a real 50 watt bulb or a 50W equivalent?
Wiring or connection, mine use to get so hot the plastic in the connection melted and would mess with the contacts connectivity
Has anyone put these in spyder headlights? If so, is the output on the projector good?
So how did it go? Before I get some for mine lol
I see that ALOT of led upgrades say for off road use only is that for high beam or both high and low or is it a color temp requirement which would be total bullshit (if 6000k was not allowed) but when I bought a 2007 Avalon w HID D2R same as my previous 2002 MBZ E320,It appeared to be original and were 4200k or 4700k think not the latter maybe they couldn't include 6000k. Then if that is the case I have never heard of someone getting in trouble for having 6000k in and it is far superior to sub 5000k and it is one of the reasons that years ago street lights were going to over 5000k the HPS 2700-3500k and because our eyes are more sensitive to blue light compared to orange, red amber color they discovered that it took about 4 times the lumens for people to be able to see the road using HPS versus 6000k LED
OEM light housings are designed around OEM bulb specifications. Changing the light source changes the light output accuracy. This includes changing the light source location (centralized filament versus LED chips on a board), light output intensity (increasing it compromises the original light housing designs), etc. I don't think it is so much of a color temperature as much as a light accuracy and safety issue. As I often say, using LED light upgrades in place of a halogen bulb is "hacking" the headlight and without care, it could become dangerous if not done with care.
I decided to go with the S-V.4 but if it turns out I need a little bit more brightness I know which ones to get 👍🏼
How's the sv4?
@@samyounes7197 great. Very satisfied with the brightness and focus. They are the brightest out of any LED I have ever bought. My last pair were Fahren and the sv4 are probably 1.5 to 2 times brighter.
Looks like the S-V.4's have lower voltage and only a 2 year warranty. I'd prob just spend the extra $25 on the GTR Ultra 2's just for the life time warranty.
Can’t go wrong with it. Had mine for 3 years and still going strong.
The S-V.4 are just a repackaged $30 Nineo bulb on Amazon, same chip and everything. Someone on RUclips has a video about it
What do you think about

Your accusation is incorrect. And if you pay attention to the video, you will see that I offer a data sheet on every light that I test so you can compare all of them with the benchmark halogen.
In my search for headlight replacement bulbs on my HJ60 Land Cruiser (H4), your channels have proven VERY helpful.
I have narrowed selection down to two…Morimoto 2Stroke 3.0 and GTR Ultra 2.
I’d love to know your thoughts?
Same, what'd you get?
I got the new Maury moto 2 strokes, couldn't be happier . The beam pattern is so tight on low beam I never get flashed period
Good review, but the coupon code is not needed for the free T10 bulbs. They give them away anyway. I got a pair with my GTR's.
Thanks. I would suggest you use the code anyway, which puts it in the cart. They might only give them out in certain circumstances, or possibly even randomly.
hi, i seen your numbers but in you opinion -- GTR or AUXBEAM GX
Based on what criteria? 😀
can you make a comparison video between the GTR Ultra 2 LED and the Bevinsee V45 or V55
I have the Bevinsee V55 on the way to me! When I release the review and lux test video, I will also update my data sheet so you can compare the numbers to the GTR Ultra 2: carlightreviews.com/headlightspecs
You can watch this video: ruclips.net/video/m6YYiKX2gCY/видео.html and compare the data here: carlightreviews.com/headlightspecs
Would I have to buy two single ones?
Or does it come in pairs
I have seen them offered in single units for certain sizes. It depends on where you buy them from and what size you need.
How long do these last for? Also if you drive for 3hrs do the headlights get weaker as far as lighting?
Longevity all depends on how much you use them. These are rare...they have a lifetime warranty. So...technically, you can use them forever. 😆
No, they do not continue to get weaker. When they start to get hot, the heat management system reduces the light output so they don't burn out sooner. Most lights that I test level off at around the10-15 minute mark.
@@CarLightReviews so after say 15mins the light output we decrease as you continue to use it throughout the night?
@@R26Roman Just the opposite. The light reduction levels off over time if the light is of reasonable quality. They typically do not continue to decrease.
can I use these as replacements of high beams?
Certainly, if they make them in your vehicle's high beam size. Best way to check it to look at your owner manual or remove your existing light bulb and check to see if there are markings on it that tell you the size. Then, buy the same size.
Great video, when you're installing these in the projector housing. I'm getting a lot of information to where people are saying you have to insert them and make sure they see at 3:00 and 9:00. Basically east to west not North and South is this correct?
When installed, ensure that the LED emitters fire in the 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock directions (left and right) in projector headlights.
For those reading this comment...
In a reflector, perpendicular to the ridges in the reflector bowl (which is also usually the same 9-3 orientation). An adjustment collar becomes necessary only when the mounting design prevents this and/or the reflector ridges are on an angle.
Are this compatible with a Jeep Grand Cherokee overland 2014?
If they make them in your vehicles size, they should work. Remove the existing bulb from your vehicle and read the marking on it, or check your owners manual. That will tell you what size bulb you need.
Are these worth the extra price vs the GTR mini series?
I can't make that decision for you, that is up to your budget. Not to mention, I haven't tested the GTR Mini series in my test environment. However, just by comparing the specs between the two, you should be able to make a decision. If you have the funds, and based on the specs alone, I would say yes if you want a brighter light that a lot of solid engineering behind it.
Any others brand that is almost similar performance but budget frndly ?

Would these work in 2008 grand vitara ?
Unfortunately, I can't suggest a recommendation for specific vehicles as I can't test them all, I am sorry to say. That's why I can offer a baseline reference. However, I do suggest that you review my headlight data spreadsheet here: carlightreviews.com/headlightspecs and use that data to guide your decision. Sorry I cannot be more specific to your needs!
so the pwm module is not replaceable on these? That means the lifespan of the led is dictated by that module and my experience with led headlights is the modules typically die long before the led unit dies. The s-v.4 leds I use in my f250 specifically, the pwm module they come with is replacable but the company that makes them will not sell just the module so I have had to throw away 5 perfectly good led units (so far) simply because the pwm module failed after 2 years in my engine bay.
You mean the driver, right? Most are not replaceable. However, since this one has the rare lifetime warranty, you have a bit less of a worry about having to buy a new pair.
@@CarLightReviews No kidding, I didn't know they had a lifetime warranty but that's because the first website that I look at them on say they have a 2 year warranty but upon checking some other websites they do say they have a limited lifetime warranty. I wonder why some sites put a 2 year warranty in the specs if they are lifetime?
Please review bevinsee v45 (h4 hi/lo) version....
I test in H11 size, but you can see my review here and apply my test findings to the low portion of the light for H4 size. ruclips.net/video/RDK0-RQDW9I/видео.html
VLED's blow these away. Interesting that you haven't reviewed any of their products.
I really like VLEDs. They have some great designs that are super unique. I do plan to buy some and test them.
@@CarLightReviews Would love to see how they compare. They make great products!
this LED lights has lifetime warranty - this must be good so they have lifetime warranty! I might buy one set for my H11 LED!! this is serious product so it has lifetime warranty!
Yes! It does indeed have a lifetime warranty! 😆
Is there away to dim the lights?
Not that I am aware of. Why would you need to?
@@CarLightReviews they are honestly to bright, I may need to angle/adjust my headlights I have a 2018 Ford F-150 with a 2.5 inch kit on 33s and the lights driving around reflect on all the street signs
@@jacobgonzales2093 Did you aim them at all after installing? You definitely should aim your headlights every time you change the bulbs or once every year. The issue isn't necessarily about the brightness in your case, if you can aim them correctly, you should be OK.
Does this gtr light comes in h4 quality?
Yes, that are available in H4/9003 sizes.
@@CarLightReviews not seeing it on Amazon
@@shawnsamuels6201 It may be out of stock in that size, you may have to order it direct. Also check eBay, link in the description.
i want to get these but are they street legal?
Not currently. I put this in the description of every video I release...
How about driving more than one hour up to 6hours??
What do you mean?
What is the brightest
Have a look at my data spreadsheet carlightreviews.com/headlightspecs and note columns R, T, V and X
So how do you aim them properly?
Check your owner manual or just use a search engine. There's plenty of results.
@CarLightReviews I'm talking about the bulbs not the housings.
@@jnstrcklnd Are you talking about the orientation of the LED chips? 9 and 3 (left to right) in projectors. Perpendicular to reflector ridges if reflector...which is usually also 9 and 3. Check the collar tabs of the LED and make sure it is in the same orientation of the halogen it is replacing. There may be cases where they are the same and the LED emitters still do not fire in the correct direction, which is then where an adjustable collar is needed.
@@CarLightReviews yes. Thanks.
@@jnstrcklnd Happy to help!

I don't buy a $200 on led because in a year or two you might need a new ones anyway.. plus to me most of the are made in China so.. could be another bulb from the same factory that most are made... Check what type of chip they have?
In this case, it has a lifetime warranty. Yes, most if not all are made in China. Sometimes, lights do share similar components. Not this one. See the 4:21 mark.
pretty much everything is made in China.. what brand bulbs is not made in China?

I bought a set of Fahren 30,ooo lumen that I guaranty will outperform these. $59 from Amazon.
Which Fahren model did you buy?
The best led is ddm accue x2 pro 55w
I did test the DDM Tuning Saber ProX 55W Accu/V2 here using slightly different test equipment: ruclips.net/video/Bpa7KwJ262A/видео.html I think that using the same test equipment they would be very similar in brightness output.
High beam?
I test in H11 size. Typically for single-filament style lights, the performance is the same across all sizes.
Well…!!! There not available in Amazon and in headligthrevolution it’s like a monopoli… the cheaper led it’s have are for elite people….$$$.
why do you say headlight revolution is a monopoli?
They are on Amazon often, perhaps just not now. GTR and Headlight Revolution are owned by the same parent company, BTW.
@@CarLightReviews Ah-Hah ... I sensed that. -_-
Great intel, both in general & details!
Thanks so much!
It's crazy that our governments don't stop the sale of aftermarket led lights made specifically to fit in car headlights where they aren't allowed to be.
They are allowed for of-road use in the US. And in other areas, there are no restrictions.
Canadian dollar 360 for this
Ummm, I just swapped the bulbs from my halogen. And honestly, I'm not impressed. The only difference I see is the color temperature. No brightness difference... definitely not worth the money.
I made sure to mount it correctly
How do you know there was no brightness difference?
@@CarLightReviews just by comparing the led vs halogen.. it's not a whole lot of a difference. The amount of money spent on these LEDs, it doesn't justify.
I did notice, it says to install it with the LEDs facing 90deg (horizontal). But in the vertical position it looked a bit better?? Should I change it?
These are mounted in the OEM headlights for the 4th gen 4runner... which apparently is for halogen bulbs
@@michaelfrymus The human eye is not designed to measure light output accurately because it adjusts to protect itself from damage. The same applies with most cell phone cameras. That is why I test in a controlled environment with an actual light meter.
So yes, you should follow the directions provided by the light manufacturer. I assume you have a reflector housing?
It's too bad these designs will not fit behind dust covers.
Agreed, sometimes manufacturers make them next to impossible to upgrade to LED. There are options, though. Check out this vid: ruclips.net/video/uwUIePSEUco/видео.html
Hikari Titanova 2023 the best ever.
It did pretty good according to my tests here: ruclips.net/video/OQtRfUY0L6U/видео.html. However, the GTR runs a little bit cooler, retained just a bit more output over time and time and has a lifetime warranty. But I do agree, the Titanova is one great light for the money!
Hikari Titanova is better
In some ways...but not in all ways. 😄 In my opinion, the quality and engineering behind the GTR is better...plus that lifetime warranty can't be beat.
A lifetime warranty is only good as long as the manufacturer is around to honor the warranty. 🤭
Agreed! But better than a 1 year warranty from a company that will not work with you on the 366th day. (HINT: My understanding is that most automotive LED light companies will work with you even after the warranty...but you didn't hear that from me... ;) )
It's shocking how bad OEM headlights are. I spent $8 for less and they were massively better. A much bigger difference than your comparison
Man I can’t just justify the 260+ for the lights I have the lasfit in my truck & family car, hikari in my 2nd gen dodge, & with no complaints! Just dwltb like was getting raped with the Mori’s & LTR’s
Totally understandable. But keep in mind, there's people that wear Timex watches and people that wear Rolex watches. They both tell time, but one does it in a much higher quality way. 😎
Halogen projectors are not the same as led projectors, LEDs are only legal is they are under 3000 lumens. So these are illegal.
According to federal guidelines (specifically Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 108), the brightest your headlights can be is 3,000 lumens, but this can be written a number of ways: 3,000K, 3,000LM, 3,000 candelas, etc.
