One of my favorite episodes to this day!!!!! I love when many shows parodied Jerry’s success during that time but the Wayans Brothers parody of Jerry was a complete classic!!!! 😂😂😂

The beginning of the golden era of THE WB and UPN. The Wayans Brothers, The Parent Hood and Sister Sister were such a staple on THE WB.
1995 and 1996 was such a golden year of black excellence in music and television !!!!!!!!
And in black films also,unlike today. LOL. As far as jobs for black actors,many were employed bounderfully in the 90s.Some starring in multiple black films.

Love the new intro Juicy Pop! When you think about it, the Wayans family loved them some John Witherspoon. John Witherspoon was in two movies with Keenan, I’m gonna git you sucka and Hollywood shuffle. It was right that both Marlon and Shawn wanted them to play their father on their show. The Wayans Bros. still holds up and hilarious to this day.
John Witherspoon was beloved by the industry. He worked with a lot of big names more than once such as:

That is correct. John Witherspoon is like a family friend to Keenan and Robert Townsend. They were a duo in producing and film making and tried to keep certain people around. Pops was the best and only real person that needed that role.

The final theme song(in the final two seasons) makes me tear!!! The smooth beat and visuals especially the beautiful smile of Security Guard Dee. Another theme song that could’ve been a single on the Hot 100 charts. Love those days! I’m glad the show is doing very well in syndication! They deserve it! They also deserve major recognition of the work of art of Scary Movie and Scary Movie 2.

I had no Idea Pops was originally supposed to be Danny Glover. Good call with John Witherspoon, I think he pretty much made the show lol!
The Good Times episode was unbelievably funny. Anna Maria Horsford was an excellent addition. TC and Dupree were funny too.
That episode where Richard Roundtree was Lisa's dad & a doctor, I can quote some of the funniest parts from there🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I agree, Martin has always been a little overrated to me, it only had 3 1/2 good seasons in my opinion. Wayans Bro got better every season, but never got the finale season it deserved.

Was so glad when they finally put ALL 5 seasons on DVD! I hated when WB or whatever companies would only put out the first season of shows like Living Single, Wayans Bros., Hanging With Mr. Cooper, etc. and if the sales weren't high enough then they wouldn't put out Season 2 onward.
Mainly due to the pilot seasons for shows like this back in the day were never the BEST season of any particular series because they are finding their footing. Sometimes we'd see S1 characters replaced, new set locations, etc. and the chemistry between the actors sometimes gets way stronger due to better writing in the following season!
I love what Marlon said about the comparison to Cosby and I said it on the Parkers video…THATS NOT EVERYBODY’S story! Black ppl can get so hung up in the representation olympics that they think every Black show needs to be Huxtable adjacent. I will watch Martin,Living Single,Wayans any day of the week because thats the culture I know.

I saw both Shawn & Marlon in 2016 & 2017 respectively. Shawn’s standup was funnier tbh lol. Marlon did a meet-and-greet (if you bought a t-shirt 😂😂). He was so sweet!🥹 He gave me a hug & said “wassup baby” & we took a picture together. His cologne smelled great. I’ve always joked for years that Marlon is my husband 😂😂😂 I admire his work & he fine as hell 😍 All the brothers are handsome actually… 🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂😏

Canceling tv shows make people go crazy. The Wayans Bros is a good ass,it was a good ass show and they didn't have a final episode.
I went to a lot of tapings of that show and they all always went behind schedule cause of all the ad libs and mistakes they’d make. It was hilarious

I was just watching The Wayans Bros last weekend. Love this show, even more now as an adult. And I love how Craig's Mama and Daddy, and crazy girlfriend from "Friday" were all on this show.
The Wayan’s Brother was one of my favorite shows back in the 1990s. I only watch the Wayan’s brother for 4 seasons (1995-1998). I didn't watch the last season, unfortunately.
It's crazy because my brothers and I identified to that show more that anything's. My older was just like shawn and I would try so hard to copy marlons style. We also had a tacky pops who owned a restaurant . My favorite show of all time

The Wayans Bros is my favorite sitcom of all time. Shawn Wayans and Marlon Wayans are the funniest of the family. The intro of the show is still a classic "We're Brothers. were happy and were singing and were colored.... Give me a high five". Shawn would always smack Marlon in the head and call him STUPID, Pops would take off his white belt trying to whoop two grown men with thise white shoes LOL. This show is pure comedy. I'm 32 and watch this all the time. One of my favorite shows growing and still to this day. Way ahead of their time and a great show that depicts bachelor life / growing pains.
