Team Fortress 2 (TF2) is a team-based multiplayer first-person shooter video game developed and published by Valve. It consists of nine classes, Scout, Soldier, Pyro, Demoman, Heavy, Engineer, Medic, Sniper, and Spy, and two teams, Red and Blu. The teams try to take the others' objective, such as an intelligence brief case, or a control point.

The whole point is to show that if Valve can’t fix this bot issue on a 17 year old game, how on EARTH are we going to have any faith in their future game projects if they’re just gonna be flooded with bots on day 1? I know they’re gonna flood CS2 next if they do shut down tf2 and no one can change my mind on that.
cs2 is flooded unfortunantly.. i tried playing but its just afk bots
@@Der_Key And there were spinbots at some point, but their newer VAC detects them.
Exactly!!! TF2 isn't the only one suffering. I've played a bit of CS2 with a friend and it's just hackers and bots. Steam allows these bot accounts to be made and are not limited. Valve, get your shit together and #FixTF2 #FixCS #FixVAC
Its not just a fight for tf2 its a fight for all games old and new.

Zealot trying to explain to the TF2 community that he knew the ban wave would happen (His shorts content says otherwise.)
Considering the fact that larger RUclipsrs are starting to cover #SaveTF2, should show that it's doing something right.
Very true
Well yeah, but actual news companies covered the first #SaveTF2 movement, and look how well that worked.
What we need to do is all meet up at Valve HQ and start peacefully Kazotsky Kicking in circles around the building.
@@jakehildebrand1824 Yes, no one can stop the kick
That sounds like an excellent idea🤣In all seriousness thought last time ended up so badly because we believed valve this time I don’t think anyone is falling for that
Same thing happened with savetf2 first movement which is the exact same. Lesson in meme culture, some ordinary game etc all covered the topic and shown their concerns about it and zealot got a lot of backlash for calling it a failure early on and guess what? He was right and valve didn’t give a damn about tf2. Same concept same formula isn’t going to work again not even with the fact that cs2 the biggest milking machine of valve is suffering from cheaters as well
Bruh, it's been a week. Give valve some time to actually do something. There isn't some random button that solves the bot crisis. They'd need more than a week to solve this. September 12th, three months. Give Valve three months to fix the problem.
When they've already had three years? Utter foolishness.
@@ZealotTF2 I'm referring to when Fixtf2 started. I'd like to wait for a bit to see if valve does something rather than just say fixtf2 failed when it has only been here for about a month.
Not even 10 second into the video and he said it hasn't failed yet.
zealot still struggling to stay realevant
Boycot won't work alone valve is also steam making millions off of selling other people games. For this to work we need both. Also the petition and boycote. Also the petition this time being hand delivered after being printed off and it's not just to fix tf2 like the name it's to demand they communicate with us the full process. Boycotts don't work if they don't know why your boycotting them.
Okay.
Good luck boycotting Steam...
@@DC-it2ng not point i was making i was making petition with boycott and all the youtubers is what is need get there attention and we can't stop till we get something.
Go to bed kid.@@scythwing
@itzYonko thats cute youtube comments used to be so much worse.
People know why we would Boycott. Now boycott.
One of the things I can think of is a class action lawsuit for selling MTX for a not working / not supported game. EA's first Titanfall game was removed from stores in fear of a possible lawsuit as the game became virtually unplayable due to hackers DDoS-ing or banning everyone while EA was still selling the game knowing the state of the game. All of these were done in order to shield themselves from a potential lawsuit so that gives a potential chance of success, however Valve was able to win many lawsuits against them so that may be up to debate.
The other idea is to notify potential law makers/ government officials about the situation. The history of Valve shows that whenever legislators took interest in what Valve was doing, Valve immediately corrected those things with examples like the crackdown on CSGO gambling websites and a change in loot boxes on the Belgian market.
We haven't failed until the movement is over and done with, Rome wasn't built in a day after all

Boycotting wont work just cuz of the existence of steam valve doesn't need any money from the tf2 community,
I agree I sadly feel 90% don't understand valve and steam are one and the same.
or either valve doesn't care, or there's no actual way to fix this without harming player experience
Guys this is a bait video, if you watch it use adblocker
Don’t give up! You’ve gotta have hope, Valve have to Fix the Bot Problem & release a Major or Minor update. If Valve doesn’t care then they might as well become like Capcom where they don’t care about their Video game Franchises.
i'm fine with the boycott, idc if the servers shut down, that will show how bad valve actually is.
this aged like milk
Bots are still gone. Just here to mention you were wrong. Try again
Fix tf2 isn't even over yet???
Personally, I agree with a lot of what you stated, however I believe that bringing publicity to the issue could still have some use. I believe that a boycott is probably the best way to get valve to fix tf2 as although tf2 makes them very little compared to steam, thousands of dollars are still thousands of dollars, and if we were to pair a boycott with the petition and and publicity that comes with it, that could have an even bigger effect than one of them alone. I don't believe that a boycott would result in the games death, because valve knows that pulling the plug on the game will cause even more backlash for them, as pulling the plug on a product because people were protesting it is not a good look, no matter how rich a company is. The only issue I could see with a boycott is getting it to happen in the first place, as there is always that one group of gambling addicts who do nothing but unbox hats all day and play Mann Up MvM. But if we could get a boycott going with the publicity brought by #FixTF2 and the petition, it could give us a realistic chance of valve actually doing something other than a Band-Aid fix.
And you were……wrong! Not surprised
Well yeah ofc the petition is not gonna do much for the community, but you know what we have already done that pretty much is just like boycotting? We negatively reviewed tf2 until it became overwhelmingly negative, spread the information that valve hasn’t done anything about it, and even implanted the thoughts of more valve games being controlled by bots. We have effectively driven away newer people from getting into tf2 and while there hasn’t been an announcement yet, I feel like boycotting will soon be the next step. While the goals of previous movements have been about the bots and fixing issues with tf2, now we have the leverage to dismantle the entire company themselves. If they remove tf2, they remove all their credibility to control their games, and we effectively won. Valve will never be trusted until they can solve the problems that every other game company is expected to deal with.
This didn’t aged well….
Me when i spread misinformation on the internet:
As much as I see your point the second we go to boycott everything changes we should at least try the petition first then I feel like a boycott is the next best step
The craziest part to me is that bots and cheaters aren't just a tf2 problem. Like you mentioned, CS2 is having similar issues. Deadlock, their new title, has already had cheaters in their beta and the game isn't even out yet. I'm not sure what valve is thinking deadlock will be if they don't have a functional anticheat.
as someone with 5000 hours in tf2, the bots greatly pissed me off.
As someone who never played tf2 it pisses me off that the bots took over casual
Bots are scum of human creation... bot hosters themselves are worse...
Dont say that they are your friends
@@furociousartsif you think bots are scum...who created the bots ?
@@zussman_ bruh what 💀
A boycott wouldn’t do much of anything tbh
isnt this what we are about to do or what, petition wise i see it as a secondary stuff(even tho it should show valve something at least)
Fym. we just started and if you dk we ain't end until valve will do something with the anty cheat which is the least they can do and other games use the anti cheat so the gotta fix it either way
I think the reason why they can't do it is because the conversion to source 2. Tf2 is ancient and so is l4d2. It might possible that the game is compromised to the hackers and with no choice but restart the game with new codes or with better security.
2 months with no bots. Aged like milk

Ok the irony
we're already doing all this lad if you can't care enough to look past the hashtag then don't comment on it
bruh it hasn't even happened yet you gotta stop being a doomer
at the end of the day, this event is a crux for valve as a company, failing to deliver would be a massive blow to their public image, if deadlock has the same issue, it might lead to a massive outrage and cause WAY more problems, fixing this game is one of their few good PR options right now, cause their communities are mad, their games are staggered and low quality these days, and the general gaming landscape is not impressed with what they have been making.
If they wanna show they still have passion for games and not money, this would be a great first step, so even if we boycott or not, if we leave or not, this is the biggest turning point in valve history, only time will tell.
local schmoozer makes jarring title to attempt to stay relevant. fails.
If I were in Valve's shoes I'd be ignoring the whiny TF2 players too
All they need to do is just lower the sensitivity limit so that spinbots have a harder time spinning around and insta-killing people
So first off, the protest has not "failed" until after the protest is over
the protest is not over, there for it's level of success is still yet to be determined.
2nd, I am skeptical on the feasibility of an AI based anti cheat being a good long term solution.
Though maybe it might address the issue for 1 or 2 years, but in the long term I worry about the possibility that the bot hosters might turn the AI based anti cheat against normal players.
Depending on how the AI gains it's data, knowing the problem with valve it'd likely gain it's data automatically to avoid "treadmill" work, which if it does gather it's data automatically that may open up the possibility for bad actors to trick the bot into false positives and false negatives (meaning that it'd ignore the real cheaters, and flag normal players as hackers)
games need to fix this issue, either it is tf2, csgo or valorant. the main issue is that people can bypass anticheats using linus core os or a external, the main issue of cheats is dll and injecting them into the game core, this still hasnt been fixed some are patched but not consistently, many exist

in response they removed mac support from tf2 XDD what a joke valve.
this aged well 💀
THE BOTS ARE GONE! WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
why dont you actually listen to creators about the purpose of the petition before doomer posting for clicks? publicity is a good thing, valve obviously cares about their reputation more than the trivial profit they make off this game. if half the internet is talking about valve's negligence they have no choice but to resolve the situation in a way that rebuilds their fans trust, otherwise anything else they release is going to suffer.
larger tf2 creators ARE planning a boycott, one thats targeted on the next case release, when valve would typically make the most money off the game. a general, broad boycott with no target and no start and end date will not be effective for any purpose because its impossible to coordinate.
When they release deadlocked (their new game) they will have to check out the community no matter what. It’s not like they’re going to release the game and never indulge in any community affairs. If all the community affairs are about tf2 then they have to do something
