Internet users have hailed a selfie featuring North Korean, South Korean and Chinese athletes as the “most significant” photo taken at the Paris Olympics. Netizens also dubbed the photo a reflection of cross-border unity and “true Olympic spirit”. The image was captured as China’s Wang Chuqin and Sun Yingsha bagged the gold medal in table tennis mixed doubles after beating Ri Jong-sik and Kim Kum-yong from North Korea on July 30, 2024. South Korea’s Lim Jong-hoon and Shin Yu-bin earned a third-place spot on the podium by beating Hong Kong’s squad.

@@florianluo8131 Zelensky promised them peace with Russia and to negotiate with them as part of election campaign. He failed them and then did what the Russians did not want and invite NATO to its borders. The west never ever listened and sat down with Russia regarding its concerns since the Cold war ended. Even at the start of this conflict Russia was ready to negotiate and Zelensky refused, he has never wanted to negotiate to end this suffering for the people he represents.

The German government has spent 2 trillion euros so far, in an attempt to bring East Germany up to the standards of West Germany, but the East is still lagging in every economic indicator. It's why voters in the East are increasingly voting for populist candidates.
A Korean reunification would be many times more difficult and expensive than a German reunification.
The United States will be the first one to come out and stop it.

At least people in both North Korea and Republic of Korea seem to be proud of their Korean identity on the international stage, but with the people in Taiwan, they actively deny calling themselves as Chinese while their own government is literally called Republic of China 😂

You could independently verify this statement by Googling 'Republic of China' and quickly take a look at its history and constitution.
And yes, I corrected you because you were factually wrong on this basic information. Because the Republic of China government was established by the Chinese in mainland China with a Constitution that considers itself as the government of all of China.
Taiwan is the remaining territory that the Republic of China government still effectively governs today, after it lost almost 99% of its ruling territory to its political rival as a result of its defeat during the Chinese Civil War.

The Qing dynasty of China ruled Tibet for several hundred years as its sovereign before 20th century. Every single Dalai Lama had to be certified by the Emperor in Beijing via the 'Golden Urn' system created by the Chinese government.
And yes, you can google Golden Urn and see for yourself.These are simple historical facts. You can also Google 'Amban of Tibet', which were governor-generals appointed by the Chinese Emperor to oversees the rule by the local Tibetan government.
These are also very basic historical facts about Tibet. In view of these facts, it's kinda strange to argue that Tibet has NEVER historically or politically part of China.. It's almost as strange as claiming Scotland had never been part of the UK, which is simply the opposite to basic facts.😅

Now that I think of it, it’s probably the first time the North Koreans got to know that phones existed and what a selfie is, unless they’ve already done all those things when the reached Paris considering NK has no access to the internet.

The most significant note is that they stopped giving flowers to the medalists, which are always left in their dorm rooms when they check out, increasing the work for the maintenance people and the environment hit.
How nice they are, but if the selfie was not proved by north korean government, the north athletes would be in danger... usually don't allow them to freely decide whatever related to south ones. As I am a south korean, we always want to talk with them or share our story but we know it would be danger for their life when back to their home. But I hope to realise the true value from the Olympic like this lovely pic.
They are missing after that.
