He's completely right. Fasting is the way to go. Or dieting and exercise. I think of all the diets out there I think weight watchers is the best. Anyway, I fast, intermittently from time to time. I'll eat dinner between 5:00 and 6: 30pm and then won't eat anything until about 11:00 12:00pm the next day. When I wake up at 5:00 a.m. I'll go down and put on some coffee and go work out. I'm 5'10 175 lbs and I'm 57 years old. I get annual physicals. I see a cardiologist every 10 years. Take care of yourself it's very important.

Although exercising fasted does burn more fat - it also taps into muscle because the glycogen stores and protein content is minimal. So it depends on your goal. Eating before working out ensures less protein/muscle breakdown but a bit harder to burn fat.

After a very successful week of healthy eating and exercise, today I did what this video recommends. I was not super hungry in the morning, so decided to run some errands on an empty stomach. Came back, thought I'll do a fasted exercise to burn more calories. Ended up binge eating - ate around 2800 calories (part of which came from a muffin, chocolate, salted nuts) and it is not even evening yet. Not a good idea to fast if you are not very good with will power or emotional eating.

    • @mexicanfoodjunkie8857

You waited too long to eat and your blood sugar was low. Fast until a certain time, then eat protein or fiber, BEFORE you are that hungry.

It’s not that you waited to long a important thing that I hardly hear is that you first have to have the tools to help you lose weight. FOOD. If you have junk food at home you can’t lose weight. After you exercise you are starving and if you ate 8 boiled egg whites(with some light seasoning) you would have been full. You can pair that with tuna or salmon if you need more. Low cal low carb high protein foods is what you need around you.

The hardest thing is working a brutally demanding fulltime (8-12 hrs per day, five per week) and trying to stay committed to combat sport training. Its so hard to valance this. I dont think its even possible, like, it's s bad idea period. Staying specifically lean is hard due to lack of sleep, being pinned in by the demand of the job and knowing that its an anti-training, anti-recovery cancer... And trying to diet for the fuel so desperately beeded for heavy, heavy training 6 days per week outside of work. Up a 3:30 am for roadwork, floorwork, barwork, jump rope, shadowboxing, ladder work, til 6am... At work by 7am, get off at either 5 or eveb 8pm and go to the gym, warm up, interval weighted drills, ringwork, bagwork and then some. Shower. Somehow eat. Sleep by 11:45..ish???
Lived this eay for over 20 years now and its an endless rate of failure basically.

You have to work up to it. Wake up and wait, distrsct yourself and don't eat until you need to. But don't go so far as to feel woozy or get a headache. The time you need to eat at will push further and further out.

This advice would only work for man, woman should not workout while fasting or even do any sort of diet that includes fasting for long periods of time without an specialist, ideally you would eat workout and then 30 mins after have some protein, if you don’t feel like having a full on breakfast, a coffee with a scoop of protein, milk and sweetened

Then eat at 2pm when you a super hungry after and replace everything you just lost. If you are really just trying to burn fat calories in vs calories out is all that matters. It doesnt matter when you exercise, when you eat or what you eat. If you eat 1000 calories of mcdonalds but burn 2000 through the day, you'll lose weight. Of course its not healthy, but that's all weight loss is. The straightforward formula is more calories expended than taken in
