I was playing a game today, where my pos 4 was hanging around creeps in the lane, trying to deny, harass opponent and kept drawing aggro, which affected my last hits and pushed the lane. I asked him nicely to harass enemies from the jungle side of the lane, which he did well, and probably got so excited about not losing hp to creeps, that he over-extended and fed. In order to prevent having an extra creep in lane, plus their carry farmed mostly under his tower anyway, I asked my pos 4 to pull their next wave from behind their tower and bring it over bounty rune spots to in between our t1 and t2, and there make it meet with our next wave and slowly last hit both waves to completely deny ours. I drew a line of pull path for him on the minimap. He pulled his first wave straight under our t1 tower, which of course only denied me the xp and gold. So, I went to show him how it's done, emphasized re-aggroing creeps when going up the slope as they lose vision, while he gained some xp in lane. He successfully pulled next 3 waves, while I farmed alternate ones under my tower, still gaining xp from his. We denied their carry quite a few waves of xp, forced him to jungle and eventually ganked and killed him a few times. It ended up being a close match and imho the main reason we won, is that their carry was both underlevelled and underfarmed from the laning stage. Sometimes your supports don't do things you expect them to. Don't start flaming them right away, ask them nicely first. Sometimes, they genuinely don't understand what you want. Show them, don't throw them to other lanes cos you're better off solo, it may not actually be the case.
Hi, 6.5k mmr offlane main here. Another thing is: when playing team fight offlaners like SK/NS/Pango You want to KNOW what you're supposed to do/target BEFORE the fight starts. SK= counter initiate NS= silence spell dependent heroes/disrupt the fight Pango= stun important targets not the backlines. You'd want to visualise how fights go and plan accordingly. note: not complex plans but simple ''I am NS I will silence lina and zone out the mag ETC''
@@angelolupango8873 yep roll over the carries so they cannot attack or move freely. Supports wont do a thing on you since u are spell immune during the roll unless they have spells that goes through magic immune. (Bane ulti, enigma bh etc.)
One of the main problems I see with low mmr offlaners is that they don't know what they're doing in fights. They just run around in the back lines killing supports while the enemy team rails his team over because the important targets like mag/es/kotl isn't killed. I've seen nightstalkers literally IGNORE es/mag in team fights to chase a CM(in 5k mmr btw) because they're so tunnel visioned on getting the easy kills. If the ns just hovered around with aghs void and constantly/chased the counter initiates on the opposite team, it would be an easy game for ns.
Bro pango needs to aim disablers and counter initiators like wyvern,shadow demon,slark,CM, or something like that to make them easily bursted so they cant counter initiate or cast skills
8:20 this is something I've thought about a lot. The idea that you don't have to fight to win. You have 2 main ways. Fight and try to overwhelm your opponent. Or pressure and farm until they crumple at your feet.

One of the very annoying thing about low mmr players is that they dont know when a lane is lost. Take a venomancer offlane for example. Lets say youre a solo venomancer against a tusk jug Its 7 minutes in, you have 8cs, 0 kills and 3 deaths. The jug just hit level 6 What would you do? Most low mmr players would stick around the lane, trying to get a measly last hit in while the wave is constantly next to their T1 tower because the jug knows how to control the wave and the tusk knows how to pull Staying in this lane gives you NOTHING. You have no farm, no exp and are constantly at risk of being killed when gone upon. The best play would be to completely abandon the lane and go for your triangle camp. If you managed to recognise a losing lane early, you can probably even outfarm the jug who gets an entire free safelane but either way even if you dont at least you are getting farm and arent feeding Time and time again i see low mmr players not abandoning the lane and even CRITICISING(read: flaming) those who actually did the correct play and abandoned it The laning phase isnt everything. Recognise what you can do and dont desperately try to lane because thats the "obvious" thing to do
I was Weaver and my partner in offlane is Zeus. He wants me to def and doesn't want me to farm at Lvl 4 all because he was always been killed in that lane. I decided I needed to farm fast and get deso early but criticizes me for doing so. Even threaten that I will be reported.

@@DudeWatIsThis depends on the meta. Veno with a stun/slow can give a lot of kill potential on weak safe laners. Veno can have multiple roles so it's a comfortable first pick. If your team picks the rest of the lane after your already picked veno, you dont have a choice but to offlane - former immortal 1000 player that beat immortal 100s in 1v1s so actually im an immortal 100
@@de20 But then it's a pos 4, not a real offlaner. Pos 4 Veno is okay I think, and a good first pick. Especially since you can also jungle and leave the lane solo to a Timbersaw or Viper if the matchup looks bad. Trouble is: most of the heroes that are good at sololaning are not the best initiators. I feel like the hard supp needs to be some kind of initiator (Venge/Pudge/Treant/ES) or at least be a heavy-stuns hero if you go Veno. To me, Veno always feels like I need 4 items for him to work. You lack mobility (dagger/forcestaff), you lack disables (atos/orchid/... sheepstick?) and you lack sustain (glimmer/ghost). So for me, the best option is to let the offlaner solo and just jungle, so you can realiably have a couple of those items in the early 20 mins. And if you're forced to pos 3 as Veno, you better win before teamfights become a thing in that game.
One of the greatest problem wich was holding me back as an offlaner was overthinking to farm or fight i was farming like an antimage taking safe farm and now fighing or fighing like a brute with 100cs at 30 mins and it is one of the gratest problems most low offlaners have.
You are so right about the low level pubs offlane mentality, I'm 3k and each time I duo offlane whoever is with me wanna trade, ALL the time. I mean, sometimes I get carried away too but I moslty find it annoying coz, as you said, 1 or 2 kills won't give me what many cs will.
U should trade here and there, place some kind of pressure. Let the safelaner consume regen items. Have balance trade and farm. I usually like to taunt as well and laugh. Makes them go crazy if u deny and laugh. Not cz m toxic no only to pressure them in each and every way possible.
I am an offlane god, learned most of these stuff by time, 1- reading enemies. Invoker approaching to cast tornado, blink on him as axe and call. Did the same with Doom. The problem is when ppl dont understand what u r doing, foe example i pick axe and the enemies 100% aware that m gonna jump so they keep distance from eachother, but my team pings and spam go go go go why dont u initiate. Late game speaking u need one good call to win a fight, goin in 2nd is a better option. But no ppl spam go go i blink call maybe 2 heroes get euled up, my team is in shock not ready for this scenario, GG
Techies a lot of times is either a easy win or a long hard lose I do agree with you, playing against techies and getting high ground for a T3 is a nightmare, and that's why the game gets longer and longer
teach me how to farm as and offlaner pls, I always feel that I should be where the team is in case they need me, but the carry and mid takes the farm from the area and I dont get to farm well during the game
By farming the difficult one. Farm lanes while pushing and invading enemy jungle. Most offlaners have flash farm skills, even though they don't scale that much with farm. Sand king, bristle back, Bat, DS, Axe, LC (she farms wonderfully while cutting waves and stacked camps), Tide, Pitlord...and list goes on. It's active farming, because you're creating space for your team and decreasing enemy's one, while being near battles.
Maybe try to sit on your lane and farm the emeny jungle in bounty runes side. .dont go to highground farm near to their shrine. .and watch minimap always. .do it when it ls free. .so enemy went to you and give space to your carry .some offlaner leave the lane after pushing tower
Polodosky your mistake is the first line, you don’t always have to be where the team is, push waves and call smokes and you can control when the fights happen

Hard farm is farm that is further from your tower. The enemies "triangle", or where their ancient camp is, is the hardest farm. A lane that is pushed away from a tower is hard farm. The enemies jungle camps are hard farm. Easy farm is normally safelane and your jungle.

U right speeed i just earlier today played offlane pos 4 Lina(herald match) with legion. I told him asap when he got that 200+ gold to buy quell but no that idiot rushed treads and kept them on agi the whole game and just went for hitting the enemies and diving t1 which ofc equals +1 death on him(idk if that dude was male of female probably stupid rushian boi) and he lost like 4-5 duels (66 dmg) to doom bit later and died fucking 21 times and basically lost us the game...very bad basic herald match...also after that under 3k conduct ppl can't speak it lowered communication by 99% and no one uses mic on herald...fug.......++++i called Rosh like 20+ times and nobody reacted like pinged smoke million times and smoked up and then they just went mid and took shit fights and died.
One of the most satisfying things about offlane is when retard psychopath supports gank you 24/7 and leave your carry and mid to snowball and you just end up winning because the enemy team would rather stop the offlaner from playing Dota than trying to win the game

U right speeed i just earlier today played offlane pos 4 Lina(herald match) with legion. I told him asap when he got that 200+ gold to buy quell but no that idiot rushed treads and kept them on agi the whole game and just went for hitting the enemies and diving t1 which ofc equals +1 death on him(idk if that dude was male of female probably stupid rushian boi) and he lost like 4-5 duels (66 dmg) to doom bit later and died fucking 21 times and basically lost us the game...very bad basic herald match...also after that under 3k conduct ppl can't speak it lowered communication by 99% and no one uses mic on herald...fug.......++++i called Rosh like 20+ times and nobody reacted like pinged smoke million times and smoked up and then they just went mid and took shit fights and died.

One of the most satisfying things about offlane is when retard psychopath supports gank you 24/7 and leave your carry and mid to snowball and you just end up winning because the enemy team would rather stop the offlaner from playing Dota than trying to win the game
