And yet, no matter how much we plan, life still has a way of catching us by surprise. In this episode of Coffee with Chrystal, I discuss what to do when your life comes to a screeching halt and there is nothing you can do about it. I’m at a halt right now. Both cars down. I’m not in the driver’s seat to get things back moving. Trying not to usurp my husband’s authority but man, It. Is. Hard. I have to depend on a ride to get my kids to school and me to work. No car. No sense of urgency on anyone’s part….. but mine. Life is at a halt and there is nothing I can do. So yeah, I feel you Chrystal.
This makes me want to cry. I am so good at showing up for others but to ask for help, it is almost impossible for me to muster the words. I have been disappointed so many times that it is just easier for me to just do it myself or to do without. This really breaks my heart.
recognize my assets - relationships family, work, church and others, cars, and mindset. expectations for myself. sounding the alarm is hard. PRIDE! independence the feeling of losing control. praise God for this timely word of encouragement.
Crystal This Is A Blessing To Listen To This Message This Morning. I Had Been Raised Being Independent. Then I Listen To A Message About Being Dependent. One Of My Grandaughter said "Mema You Need Help Ask" That Moment I Said You Right!! The Lord Said To Me Stop Being Independent And Be Dependent For Help When I Send It To You. Much More I Can Say. Financially. In the middle what I can’t do, I decide decided to rest, trust and release what I cannot handle. God is making a way. God is fighting for us. Praying and doing our part, the rest we leave it to God.
God has allowed this passing of my spouse, but it is such a numbing experience when you have been with a man much of your life! It is so over-the-top when you are involved deeply! This is my baby and I have to rock it! God's Grace is truly sufficient. Miracle after miracle! Struggling with emotions that seem unbearable. Finances you depended on as a Home Maker! Stability seemed shattered. The Love of my life is gone! It's coming on a year in October! There is nothing like knowing Jesus and His Word! My Lord!☝🏽🙏🏽I can breath now! The Lord have given me His plan for me! It is Well with my soul after going through counseling, comfort and worship! (Isaiah 60:1-3)😪🫂 Blessed be the Name of The Lord! My children have supported me financially after raising them in the fear of The Lord! Pain is pain, hurt and trials come to us all, but like David said in Psalm 37, "I once was young, but now I am old (er), but I've never seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. 💯☝🏽🙌🏽

Great message Chrystal! Thank you for sharing. I'm still learning to not react too fast, but to pause and see what direction God will give me or if He will direct me to reach out. I love God because He knows me so well and He is so patient. When I do react too fast, He is so faithful to reveal to me what my options were, so that I can learn from the situation. It's nothing like a learned lesson from God, which we learned on this Sunday in James 1 is to allow God to develop us since this really is a journey. Thank you again Chrystal for your ministry.
Crystal you mentioned something about "Don't get out of line" ... I think thats a good concept. Because I was just wondering if I'm EVEN in the line 🤦🏾♀️
What if I'm waiting on things that God has no intention of giving me? It can be hard waiting when you've been asking God for some of the simplest things for the past 15 years.
I admit sometimes I throw my hands up and "Get out of the line" 🤦🏾♀️
But I think "Don't get out of line" is a good discussion worth having.

I am heartbroken and sad. I cry every day. It’s so hard with this breakdown in my life that I’m experiencing right now. I loss my husband on August 12. Just 3 days shy of our 23rd wedding anniversary. He had a 7 year long illness that l had to watch & help him through. I can’t get over the last 5 very painful days of his life. I don’t know how I’m gonna make it in this world without him. I cry every day and it is so hurtful. Now alone in this house I’m with my 99-year-old mom who has dementia so I really don’t have anyone to talk to. I have family and friends but at this point I don’t want to throw my sadness off on them. I know they love me and are here for me but my trust and faith in God along with time is the only thing that’s going to help me make it through but at the same time it is very very hard. There is such a big void in my life and I miss my husband so much and the abundance that he brought to my life. My take away is I’m going to daily work on revising myself. Thanks for sharing sis❤

It’s physical for me. What is most impactful is the sounding the alarm part.
I am always so helpful even to the point of ignoring me to help others. Which always causes problems later that I try to fix later. Causing a snowball affect.

Recent breakdown are my cars. No transportation. I’ve been working on staying safe in my thoughts. Im sounding the alarm that we have to do something and stop allowing the dealership to drive. My husband went to check on one of the assets. I have expectations that change is coming. It’s been almost a month. This not only affects me but others so yes this was a relevant for me 🙏🏽
Yes Lord I had a warning and I didn’t catch what it was. Now, here I am. Some things were out of my control. Some still are. But Lord I’m asking You to give me favor and help me recover. I stand in need Lord and I trust that Your hands have everything I need.

I just had a pretty serious emergency surgery. Last week I was running myself of gas and this week I can't do much on my own. I must learn to rest and ask for and accept help. Very big lesson.

My life has come to a screeching hault and I'm just tired 🤦🏾♀️
I asked God for a specific job and after three interviews I was given the job.. And I just knew it was answered prayer. After 2 weeks at the job the company suddenly ended my contract. At this point I'm just tired of praying and asking God for the same things over and over and over and over again. I'm just exhausted mentally spiritually physically and emotionally... I have nothing else to give. I can barely even pray for myself 🤦🏾♀️
Kyla, I pray in the name of Jesus that He will give you everything you need to survive and thrive in this season. May His perfect will be done in every area of your life, including your work situation. Amen.

Help for me and help for the situation is a thing. Two different things
So many times i am feeling things, .going through something, 0r been through and don't always know how to put into words. You explain something and I go that is it! /makes since.
This makes me think that I need to move back to my house and see if I can save it! Renting is expensive and my ex isn’t paying the mortgage… think it’s time I face this and intervene…. Which by the way is a word the Holy Spirit gave to me the other week.

Thank you for this reminder Chrystal. I used to be the one to check out immediately. Now I'm learning to stick it out - God will surely bring me through the sudden drisruptions in my life. But sometimes it's hard to ask for help because I am the only one who is always asking. My family has been very helpful so when I'm in need, I feel like I can't ask because they have helped me so much already. Feels like I'm being a bother.
I do need to get to safety in regards to living in a space that I’m living. Tired of walking on eggshells.

Sometimes also we refuse to heed the warnings we received (mine was a reoccurring dream) then allow ourselves to be placed in an environment where we have no one to help us. Proverbs tells us “the prudent foresee evil and hide themselves, but the simple pass on and are punished.” I believe that God was trying to warn me of impending danger, but I ignored it because I believed everything would be ok. Too many times in life we don’t pray and even like Gideon ask God for confirmation.

Your show has nothing that I can say I relate with or know or have known in my own life. I'm a community of one and I don't like it at all. It's the cross I bear and have been bearing my whole life long. It sucks when I am the most alone within big crowds. There is nothing I can do about it. You said ask for help, Yeah right... no one out there gives a darn about me unless I'm giving them something .
Strings and conditions with every one's love. The only one who really loved me was my mom, and she's been passed away for over two years. Cherish the life you have. Cherish the people within the life you have that truly love you. Truth is, it hurts to see you have family, loved ones, a father near by,...you have so much of the right kinds of riches like love. Please don't take it forgranted.
You have a BLESSED life. Here, I'm just wasting away. I know what being and feeling alone means, I live it everyday now that momma's gone. Be thankful that you have someone to care for you. Some folks like me aren't as lucky.
Louis, I'm so sorry for your loss. I sacrificed to help save someone's life and instead of it being seen as such, I spent 2yrs in prison. My husband and children paid a high price and so did I. For doing exactly what the Bible says "take care of the widow and the orphans if you want your religion to be anything in the sight of God" I did it and every time I thought God was going to come through and deliver me, even dreams of "Case dismissed" or hope for exposure of the truth...my heart was broken. My two 3yr Olds and 7 year old had to be in the care of others who were not always nice and there was nothing I could do but go thru. I told God, are you not going to deliver me? I did what you said. To this day I don't totally understand why but I'd be lieing if I didn't tell you that in my moments of self pity and hiding under the covers crying on my prison bunk he didn't whisper..."Is it anything compared to what I went through for you"
It quickened me and I began to fight back the darkness with Thanksgiving. God I thank you for the 6 years of marriage, I thank you for the time I did have with my children, if I never see them again help me to remember that they were yours before they were ever mine. Thank you for letting me share your love with the drug addicted mom of twins in the bunk next to me, thank you for showing me the pride in my heart that caused me to be in conflict with ppl all the time, thank you for delivering me from ppl pleasing, etc. When I look at the songs he gave me in that season and the deliverance many girls and women went through bc I decided to count it all joy and embrace the journey, I can say, it was not right or fare how I ended up in there but I made the most of my journey for the Kingdom of God. Once I embraced the journey, he didn't only use me. He delivered me.. from me. I lost consciousness as the judge read off my sentence, while saying to God, "Are you not going to deliver me?" By 2years later 12.1.19 I exited that prison in tears saying "Lord I don'twant to lose what you gave me in here". I don't know if my sharing is of any value to you. But I you could, please pray for me and my relationship with my mom. You know the value and I don't want either of us to leave this earth and not be together in glory bc of offense or not surrendering pride to God.
Rem this world does not love you or the one who died for you. You are not alone, you are loved more than you know. But you have to push back the darkness that's worked to turn your grief into ungratefulness. Another of the 7 symptoms of Pride

Oh wow how traumatizing im so sorry you had to go through this i know its hard to move on from this and theres no listening ear . i get it people can say your to emotional or sensitive maybe. but your not being to sensitive if thats what your so call fsmily or friends are saying . your hurt about what happend.
