Laura, I am Brazilian and down here we prepare chocolate pudding and use it as filling for cakes or pies. In case you decide to try, I am sure you 'll be surprised! Take care! Hugs from Brazil!
Thanx for the recipe tried this and the family loved it, i couldn't get my hands on the custard mix so i just added corn flour and extra milk to the dough and it still was soft.
we actually use vanilla pudding mix with wipping cream, whip it together and use it for icing or a filling.. it's so freaking good! I love when my mom does it so I can lick the spoon, and the bowl, and the wisk lol😂
Ahh just thought about something, I bet using a little bit of the pudding, a little cream, and powdered sugar would make a perfect glaze for these. Yum! ♡
In France we do something like this but instead of using a cinnamon roll dough, we use puff pastry, with custard and chocolate chips it is so good and feels so light! But i will definitely try your version of it :)
Hi Laura, first about this video, on one of your previous videos you said you proof your dough in your microwave. I thought that was a great non drafty place. I think it's worth mentioning that trick often since not everyone has watched all your videos. A recipe idea, my mom used to make these lacy cookies made on mettle forms. They were sprinkled with powdered sugar. She also made some very very thin cookies that had a chocolate base and again looked lacy, I think nuts were involved too. Please if you can find these traditional cookies I'd love to make them. They might be from Prussia or Italy because my mother came from both places. Please excuse me if you've made these cookies or if they're too labor intensive.
In Holland we have a kind bun like this. We filled the dough with crème patissière and rasions. They called koffiebroodje, they are AMAZING. You have to try it out💖
Have you ever tried grated orange zest, along with a tad bit of orange juice, right in the pudding, along with the chocolate, pretty sure it would take those rolls to a whole new level!
Laura you wont believe it but when you add that vanilla custard mix in the dough mix i cannot stop myself to comment in the middle of my video coz last week i made apple Coconut rolls and in my dough mix i added some leftover from coconut flour pancake mix and my rolls so soft and creamy....omg...loved it...and btw i love all ur videos every week i am looking forward for your videos...keep on doing the amazing job laura..love u lot and just one request can you share more thai or Malaysian and Mexican recipes??
I would love to see more pasta videoss just because I feel like you can eat it when ever you want and you can change it up easily and eat like pasta a whole week different ways.. But I only have 2 recipes that I make bc I really love them.. So it would help a lot! Love from Aruba
do we need to 'compact' the rolls in the cake pan together. can we just use a plain cookie pan, or will that effect the baking process? i want to have golden outsides for the rolls
Laura, you're like Awesomeness in the kitchen! I'm a great cook and I'm livin through you in these videos!! I cant cook right now, cuz I'm currently living in a studio apt. But I'm saving all your recipes for when the situation changes to Better!💗💗💗💗💗 Blessings to you, doll
Looks delicious as always, but I am surprised that you don't have a bagel recipe, please make a cinnamon raisin bagel.. No knead version if possible.. Thanks and you are the best.
A heads up: tried making this just following the written recipe from the website and it does not mention adding the milk into the stand mixer. Came here to see why my dough was so dry and wasn't coming together properly, now it makes sense! Off to try again!
Thank you so much for this :) Every recipe I've tried from you turned out perfect, I'm pretty sure this will too! Thank you for all the work you put into your videos, we all really appreciate :)
+Savanah She removed the nail polish because it the dough could take the taste of the chemicals that are in it... The chemicals are not good for the health.
Lauraa I just wanted to thank you for every single video you posted. I've learned so much from you and I know u probs won't see this but I love u and thanks for all the things you've learned me 😢💓💓
These look awesome. I have tried out several of your recipes over the past few months and every single one has been a major "keep it in the arsenal' hit! These are next I hope but I was actually thinking that instead of using chopped chocolate, while making the pudding/custard, I would just add some Nutella - what do you think? Or maybe you have a recipe for Nutella pudding?
can you make a dessert using white chocolate gonach (no idea how that's spelled) the way you do with the hot heavy cream, or with toasted marshmallow creme? I was thinking browny with mini chocolate chips for texture?? baked in a caramel pool ;-) !!
Hi Laura! I've been making a delicious chickpea salad lately! Feta, chickpeas, parsley, lemon, garlic, roasted red peppers! I would love to see your take on some cold "salads" to put inside pitas. Love you darling!
I think I saw Joe's reflection on the metal bol of your standing mixer haha :) am I right ? AND I am salivating right now I need to make this recipe ! And your instant vanilla pudding mix of course !! In France we call these rolls "le Chinois" (yes like a chinese haha) I don't really know why but it has the same ingredients ! Vanilla and milk chocolate go so well together :)
Laura, I would love to see some of your favorite healthier dishes. Now that spring/summer is coming I am sure alot of people are looking for some good lighter ones!
I love it but it seemed to take so much time between the yeast, making the filling, and letting the dough rise. I guess thats what made it taste so good!
+Laura in the kitchen. Hi Laura, i'm a big fan from Belgium. So as you know we use european measurements. Everything in your recipes Is in cups. would consider putting the other (european) measurements Also in your recipe? That would make things a lot easier! Thanks a lot!
i love how natural and relaxed she is, like she isnt afraid to do her thing her way
Laura, I am Brazilian and down here we prepare chocolate pudding and use it as filling for cakes or pies. In case you decide to try, I am sure you 'll be surprised! Take care! Hugs from Brazil!

Hahaha I thought of the same thing. And HEY JULIE

so delish .. I think the one who suggested the recipe is from a Scandinavian country cause they use custard in different form of rolls ...
Have you ever tried grated orange zest, along with a tad bit of orange juice, right in the pudding, along with the chocolate, pretty sure it would take those rolls to a whole new level!
