Thats more of a bass clarinet thing
bari sax does the solo better anyway 🤷🏻♀️
he also forgot the saxaphone solo from pink floyds the gunners dream.... its only obe if the most epic sax solos ever... 🤦♂️.
The pink panter song isn't a solo. It's a song with and sax. Sorry to dissapoint
Baker Street & Careless Whisper are definitely the most epic.
For me is most epic Epic Sax Guy 😂💙
For me, both epic sax guy preformances
I think I came here looking for Baker Street
I prefer You Belong to the City than Careless Whisper.

The creator need to do this, but thanks it helps alot
They missed: Where Did Your Heart Go/Wham
Poor dude lmao, everyone hating on careless whisper
Edit:nvm hadn’t gotten to that part of the video yet. I get it.
I hate it
Careless whisper is still good though non the less
Greenphase no
It sounded good for just playing but it didn’t sound like careless whisper
I think everyone feels music, instruments, sensations his way, that's why we all play differently, I can actually enjoy his quite careless version very much.
The 80's were a golden age for saxophones. People often think of the synthesizer as the dominant instrument of the decade, but the sax was every bit as prevalent. There were scores of hit songs that featured its signature wail.
The 80's: saxophones, synthesizers and drum snares with a shit ton of compressor (ty Phil Collins)
there’s a reason why lisa simpson jammed a sax, def an 80s staple
Jesus Christ loves you ❤️
And also, Kenny G
90's also, especially the 1st half
*SPOILERS!*
0:01 - Tequila (1958)
0:39 - Baker Street (1978)
1:23 - Careless Whisper (1984)
1:53 - Lily Was Here (1989)
2:26 - Infinity (1990)
2:52 - Destination Calabria (2006)🔥❤
3:11 - Run Away "Epic Sax Guy Song" (2010)
3:31 - Mr Saxobeat (2011)
3:50 - Jubel (2013)
4:27 - Hey Mamma (2017)
You're welcome. 😊
You aren't the hero we asked for, but the hero we needed
Obrigado.
Gracias!
people like you will end up in heaven ffs
thanks
No matter who plays it Baker Street solo will always have your soul played through it
You didn’t do careless whisper justice
I felt so too
I agree
1:32
I literally was cringing when I heard him play it because it did not sound good
I heard that back then they need to speed up the original recording of the saxophone because it is impossible to play like in the song.
Title: 10 Most EPIC Sax Solos
Actual video: 10 most meme-able sax riffs of all time...
CJ Hinds totally agree. Not a single solo played here.
acurrate
They are meme-able because they are epic
Yes
Now I understand why these have all been my favorite songs throughout my life 😁
Makes sense, haha 😂
That was way more emotional than necessary whenever I play sax I do the EXACT SAME THING other people need to by like this man. Put your literal SOUL into your playing guys!!! Bravo!!
Careless whisper was not done right
Reaper 134 he used tenner not alto thats why
@@tsugumi455 that is an alto
he means the original was played with a tenor
Mychael Rose Tennor
It's cause he used alto
Careless Whisper wasn't expressive enough!
"Careless Whisper"

Dude I'm picking up a Saxaphone and learning to play as a gift to myself after my lungs heal from illness. Thanks for being part of my inspiration.
How did the year go? Did you worked on your sax skills?:)
0:39 That's a sax solo right there, I was looking for this one.
Gta v

Glad to help ya 🤗
I was waiting for "Careless whisper" and then that happened...
It was careless, you got what you asked
SO IT WAS CALLED BAKER STREET ALL ALONG
Ben l'hyène/the hyena 😂
lmao
The second i heard it i knew that one second its from gta 5
Yeah wiz like tf is Baker Street in my recommend
Come on Sher, tea's ready.
Sax is the best instrument of all time! You rock it! 👌🎸 I could listen to the sax all day long 🤗
Jesus Christ loves you ❤️.
Baker Street! That's the one. You're an absolute legend my guy!
3:20 No hip thrusts?
Amature
LMAO!
*amateur.
aaron names if you are gonna make music puns you should really *TUNE* it down man
Better than u
@@CaedisHa i wouldn't say that in your ACCENT
they're fun to annoy the crap out of everyone in marching band
Lmaooo yuhhh
exactly
I’m the sax section leader in my band and I taught them all careless whispers, Baker Street, and epic sax guy so no one likes us anymore.
Oh my gosh you have no idea careless whisper is all my saxophones play
I know I made careless whisper a song that is forbidden.
I thought of Baker street, but didn't know what it was called, so I just googled "That one sax solo" and this video came up. I was pleased when it was the second result XD
I was looking for Baker Street, but I didn't know the name of this song. I love this song. Thank you.💚
Glad to help ❤️
You need to change the titles from top 10 most epic sax solos to most popular. Many of these solos aren't even solos just part of the melody. I was expect john coltrane or something.
Bro giant steps or My Favorite Things should be there instead of over edited saxophone.
Epic sax guy was pretty epic tbh
Just change it to S E X Y. Problems solved
the video is so bad
One word man clickbait..
Tequila: yeah it’s pretty good
Baker Street: ok, he kinda messed up, but it’s ok
Careless Whisper: well, i’m gonna go jump off a bridge now, see ya guys
Rohan Kurani lmao fucking moron. Can’t even play yourself
Rohan Kurani he messed up tequila by skipping the dotted quarter
It sounded good
Chill, goblins. Interpretation. You don't have to stick to the sheet to play music. If you're any good, you know when to throw yourself in the music, overtake it, and make it whatever you want it to be.
Daniel Purdy You can have an opinion on what music sounds like without knowing how to play. Of course it’s better to be understanding and appreciative of the artist and skill it takes but I don’t like that argument, it’s like saying “Oh yeah why don’t you go play sports instead of watching”, it’s because we’re the audience
Sax is one of those instruments I've always wanted to play.. absolutely love the sound. These scores are all classic. Love it
Mad respect for SunStroke Project and here’s hoping they get their Eurovision win.
TO THE SAX GUY!
Moldova didn't win. The judges have no taste at ALL
Awesome Baker Street!
Thanks man!
That careless whisper was a bit wasted
"Careless Whisper" was a bit bad.
F
Guess he didnt care enough to do it properly... ironic
GreenStoneGecko can u play it
Jonathan sorto learning something else atm but will try to in the future :)
Not sure why I was expecting some Parker and Coltrane from this vid but good vid
Sequoyah Cisneros probably because they were both revolutionary saxophonists who revolutionised music with their amazing skills
same same
because that is who should be up there because of more reasons than i feel like typing. this stuff isnt good, and its not complex or musically challenging or revolutionary, like giant steps was, or donna lee, or for simpler music, something like parkers mood or impressions, which people are still learning from that music nowadays.
Jazz I know, I was saying that I dont know why I was expecting those things is because most people on RUclips are there for the hype not for the quality, and they see sax is this stuff, not part of what changed the course of music.
I get you, but all music is different. I think a good solution would to be to just change the title of the vid, or interpret it as meaning "the most recognizable to the general population"
How could anyone dislike such a good performance
Thank you for your support so much ❤️
Tis good, lacks emotion on a few songs. Mainly #1 and 3.
Which dislikes I don't see any
deaf
I simply LOVE this screaming sax 00:43
Where is “In the Mood“ and “Take Five“ ?
good idea Lukas, I think I will od another video with some of these songs. Thanks for a great tip :)
Lukas Bulle this is focused on saxophone use in pop and rock music rather than in jazz where it is very prevalent and easy to find. There are also tens of thousands if not more unique saxophone solos and melodies so that it would be very difficult and subjective to find the "best" ones. Some of them are also extraordinarily difficult as played by the masters of the instrument
Zygi Sax I was expecting Foreigner lol. Unless if this is a highlight of popular alto solos.
In the mood was in 1940
Or just about any Coltrane song for that matter (Giant Steps ftw)
Nobody:
Davie 504: what's that rare bass
E P I C C O
SLAPP like now!!
OMG
This video is one of the few reasons why I'm thinking of picking up learning the Saxophone again.
Wow! Well that’s inspiring!
I'm pleasantly surprised by a) your own unique rendition of the sax segment of Careless Whisper, and b) that Sunstroke Project is on this list. 💕
Careless whisper made me want to vomit with that articulation
"Careless Whisper"* articulation.*
@ItZ nEwbIe b bAbY I have arrived.
he couldn't care less😂😂
I mean he kinda had to do it due to copyright reasons
Quinlin Meaden CRINGING UNCONTROLLABLE
*simon from America got talent voice*
Simon:carless whisper is a NO for me
Saxophonist: why
Simon: i know its called careless whisper but that doesnt mean play it carelessly
Every other song was good tho
Simon* America's Got Talent*
Simon:* "Careless Whisper"* It's* from*
Also, I'm fairly sure Simon is from Britain's Got Talent...?
Simon is both
Rownjay
Rowanjay78 he is from both😂😂😂🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Rio Sax Solo deserves to be here
As a fellow musician, you inspire me man. I've come back and watched this several times. And it's favorited. I play electric guitar, and I have been wanting to learn sax for some time but now I really want to!
I play synth and would kill for good samples!
I think he might not actually be playing? You can see sometimes he stops to breathe but the sax keeps playing…
@ababe5967 You ever played sax? On high notes barely any air escapes your lungs in comparison to lower notes...
Thank you, I've had that Baker Street one stuck in my head all damn day and never knew the name of it. Now I finally found it. Thanks.
True I saw an Ewok meme with that melody
Glad to help you! 🤗
@@affenschlumpfxd691 that meme was so ancient and i was so glad that i found it
Despite the memes that should be there im completely disappointed that the pink panther theme isnt here
I'm completely disappointed that the "Pink Panther Theme" isn't in here.*
The sax solo in Foreigner's Urgent is the greatest rock sax solo ever recorded
Never listened to the song but i would it is after listening to some of their music
They totally missed it... :(
Great call. What a solo. 👍
Shine on You Crazy Diamond’s solo is legendary
Yeah just forget Money by Pink Floyd.
I was hoping he would play it...but he didn't
What about Duran Duran and Arcadia?
I love that and i can play it
Or Shine On You Crazy Diamond...
Almost all pf solos are on tenor
Bruh why’d he staccato the notes on the careless whisper, totally made it lose its usual vibe. All he had to do was hold down that last note on each ending and give it a bit more energy and it would’ve sounded great.
Gramps. I know right lol. It’s all legato or slurred. That’s coming from a percussionist who probably knows how to play the saxophone better than our actual saxophone section lmao 😂. They suck, so they get a bunch of attention. I already know my music, so i just listen to them and make fun of them lol. We all do that
I doubt he is unable to do it, he probably wanted to give it his own spin
Just got to that part of the video and stopped at that point. This guy has skills, but that was not a good interpretation of that solo.
It also sounds better on tenor
Tequila & Epic Sax Guy were a bit off as well.
This guy does the solos better than the original songs
no he doesn't
World is a ghetto and don't let no one get you down by war. Sax is in the middle, awesome, simply awesome!!
"You forgot this..." and "you forgor that..."
*HE PLAYS VERY WELL THIS IS THE POINT C'MON!!!*
forgot*
He plays very well.
"This is the point" and "C'mon!!!" are not needed.
Leave the poor guy alone!

You have to include the greatest of all time, Clarence Clemons solo on Jungleland and the great Alto Reeds solo on Turn the Page. Both powerfully emotional!!!
Mann, bist Du gut! Beneide Dich 😍🥰😘
3:15 I've been searching for this song for forever. Thank you!
Don’t listen to the haters man you are an amazing sax player! Mad respect ✊
Yes he is for sure
As long as he doesn't touch his sax again, yes he is an amazing sax player.
I don't know what a "careless whisper" everybody is bitching and moaning about is supposed to be in music terminology but I DO know that the Baker Street solo was delicious.
Careless whisper is a song
Go wash the dishes brian
Careless whisper is the third song he plays, and it is toned down on some notes, and adds some unnecessary note combinations, that aren’t in the original, and it just overall takes away from the solo, so there. Now you know, and you can stop
“Old Photographs” has the most epic sax solo ever bro
Agree, the 80's were the golden age, but there is still some awesome sax out there today, I'm working with one guy at the moment... hope to have the tracks out soon.
I'm very disappointed, he didn't have man-eater by Hall&Oats that solo is absolutely magnificent, u can feel it echo in ur bones
Hell yeah!!!!! I’m a big fan of them
and definitely they deserve to be here ❤
You missed "Your Latest Trick" from Dire Straits, which has a goosebumping hell of a sax solo
The BEST Infinity I've ever heard anywhere, and no video devoted to just that song. Depressing.
🎶🎶mmm 0:00 Tequila, 1:50, Lily was Here❤, 3:50 Jubel, , 4:30 Hey Mamma 🎶🎶Who am I fooling, love the whole video 🎶🎶♥️♥️♥️🎶🎶🌹
What a fantastic instrument. Sounds amazing.
It’s the best thing I’ve ever heard in my entire life ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I keep coming back to listen to this. I really wanna pick up the sax.
Tequila The Champs. Was looking everywhere for that!
This song really makes me want to start playing the Saxophone again.
Same
That epic sax guy took me all the way back to 2012, can't believe it's been 10 years
Como pasa D:
Time goes fast, ye?:D
Haha, I couldn't recall that famous melody so I just typed "famous sax song" and here it is - Baker Street.
I was playing this in the middle of class
Thank you do much for Baker Street, I couldn't remember its name. You played it really well❤❤❤
Baker Street always my favorite great vid!
I love how saxophones sound like crying souls
I literally searched for the second solo by typing in "dramatic sax solo", and it brought me here, so I'm listening to the others! THANK YOU
Epic sax guy isn’t the same without the dancing
Great mix of songs, they flowed together perfectly
Thank you Scott!
Thank you, i was looking for the first tune and found it here straight away, great playing
Awesome sax player. You’re one of the best in the world 🌎 👏👏👏👍👍👍🇺🇸
