I live near an Amish community in Kentucky. After I had a heart attack they asked what I wanted to do. I said i didn’t know. They said we think you should build a new shop at the bottom of the hill. Bigger and easier to work in. I bought the materials. They brought the manpower to build and the woman power to feed. In four days (4!!) they finished a 4,000 sq foot building!! Such a blessing for the people getting there lifes back in order ... The horses worked so hard threw this they should get better care also more food they deserve it also
Somebody had to milk those cows with out that milk house twice a day for over a week. I hope a neighbor had a barn available to him. Milking as many cows as that barn housed by hand would be mighty time consuming without electric milk machines.
I love the juxtaposition between the horse and buggy and the heavy machinery, the hammers and drills, the hand mixing of cement/mortar and the big cement pumper!!!
When the Amish need to build something, they do not go to the Planning board to be told, we will get back to you in a few months. They go to their family, friends and neighbors. They do not go to the building Inspector to pull permits and pay fees. They sit down with the family friends and neighbors and show them the plans of what needs to be built. They do not build to village, town or city code. They build to last a hundred or more years. The Amish know how to help Thy Neighbor!

Just imagine if every community followed this example. No one would be homeless and everyone would help each other. Isn't that what communities are all about?
Everyone of them worships the Lord on Sunday. That’s the main difference
@@joehutmacher3323 Worship helps reinforce the right behaviors and beliefs, but the main difference is that the Amish invest in and support their communities. Community was the backbone of this country. Now, it's just Wall Street and a small number of individuals and institutions with concentrated wealth & power who have eviscerated communities across rural America leaving devastation behind and impoverishing communities and individuals.
That is quite amazing, the logistics, workers, building materials it’s hard to imagine it can be done in that amount of time.
For you to share this effort is very special. Thank you for letting us realize this.
Wow. The amount of teamwork and dedication going on here is incredible. Whoever was the foreman of all this deserves a medal. What a feat of work.
Well done to this respectable community.
this project defies belief..incredible workers.
One thing's for sure: The Amish aren't afraid of heights.
All I can say is incredible! 💜🇨🇦
Amazing what can get done when the help has no cell phone!
And government stays out of the way.
Prayers to you and thanksgiving no one was harmed
Its fun i need something it takes weeks to coming they get stuff right away go figure amazing watching them build
I would guess that there are no less than 100 people working in just that area. That’s what “REAL AND TRUE” love looks like. How sad that we don’t see that except in Amish communities.
Can you imagine if the state or federal govt was tasked with rebuilding the site. It would take a year or more probably.
A year just to do an Environmental Impact Study [aka a list of who needs kickbacks].
An absolutely beautiful site to watch this video seeing the entire Amish community come to their neighbors' aid during his most crucial time of need. Family, Friends, Neighbors ALL of them being relentless for this lengthy process. I am in awe of its entirety but mostly I can feel all those arms surrounding that family for protection. God Bless You ALL.
Very impressive workers !!
Such a blessing for the people getting there lifes back in order ... The horses worked so hard threw this they should get better care also more food they deserve it also
*through
And why should the horses "get better care" and more food?
The farmer and his family likely walked into the new buildings, felt pleased and then got to milking the cows!
The Amish know how to help Thy Neighbor!
there stuff doesnt last a hundred years-- and if they actually had inspections those fires wouldnt happen as often as they do
Thanks for the Excellent Job with this Video. If gives Many of Us the Hope we need to Clearly See their are a Lot of Fantastic Human Beings on this Earth. 🙏
No permit wait times, no OSHA issues etc.
Shows how much our government slows down production.
Your government slows nothing down. They are bound by the very same constraints. Odd how you fight your government, when the government works for you. Not the other way around.
@@Look_What_You_Did Grow up! In just the 20th Century your beloved, leftist, big, all powerful, central planning government PROVABLY killed or starved to death over 100 million of their OWN people, plus millions of their enemies. If government had been involved, the permitting process would still be taking place along with the graft producing "Environmental Impact Studies"
@@Look_What_You_Did You could not be more mistaken. Check out how the PA Dept. of Agriculture has been harassing Amish organic farmer Amos Miller (who has over 4000 customers across America who have signed contracts to recieve his products).
the rest of the world should take note, see how well all these people work together, and everyone steps up to do whats needed, they should be commended for their ability and dedication!
A beautiful farm, nicely done. Question....what is the purpose of the small barn in the back?
Their building skills have always amazed me! Ive personal watched them move huge barns, and construct massive post and beam barns and houses in record time. This really shows what team work is all about.
Gavin Newsom would have spent $2 billion and there would be one pole sticking up out of the ground.
Nothing short of amazing. What a show of man doing what GOD made for. These folks are just something to behold, self educated by the ones that taught them, and the ones before them all the way back to day one. They are amazing to say the least. I could go on and on. GOD bless them and us, we can learn from them YA’LL 🤪🙏✝️🗽🤪🇨🇱🇺🇸
I just figured out who built the pyramids the Amish
Thank you for producing this video. I have always admired the Amish community's ability to come together for helping out each other.
I don’t understand!! They go to town in horse and buggy!!
But use modern day equipment to remove any and all debris? Why aren’t they using old school methods to do that ? So everything about modern day society is not exempt
😂
Simply magnificent ! What strength of community..
man they are fast workers they don't mess around. nicest people you will ever meet.
Are these Amish or Mennonites??
@@wlocke2 , very much Amish. Thanks for watching.
The Amish built my cousins Poll barn, which was the garage when Dawson Springs KY Had there tornado a few years ago their house went the barn stayed
Amazing and uplifting! Well done to all those involved in this endeavor.
Truely amazing seeing a community of people help each other. A lost concept for most these days.
What I also was surprised by is their use of modern machinery. I didn't know they did that.
People could learn a lot from the Amish, even though I don’t believe in a lot on how the live but I love how they come together as a community
Arounf here they built pole barns. And sheds. Very quick and efficient. Good work. Quality ... best crews you can get. I laughed one day.. some boys in a buggy had the trotter in high gear. It was lightly raining. They made the corner but the . buggy slid sideways . No wreck but I thought, boys are boys all over the world. Hehe. The old horse had more sense than they did. Reckless. If dad had seen it , I expect a belt might gotten some use. Haha. Been there done that. And I'm not Amish.
I sooo yearn for those days back ! I'm a thoroughbred Appalachian Mountain man in the mountains of N.C. , I grew up in one house , I got married and bought a ole farm house 100 yds from where I was born and raised ! By The age of 6 , I was working everyday Picking Corn & Picking up Potatoes , Cleaning stalls , anything that needed done till I was Probably 15 , 16 , I wished I could Go Back and count the Loads of Firewood I've cut and busted and stacked ! Our Nation Could learn a Good lesson to live by from the Amish !
