Great video. And the reason why TCL tvs are so inexpensive is because they make all their own parts. Aside from the Roku OS, they don't need to buy parts from other manufacturers.

Question about roku. With the roku app it shows a headphone symbol in the video, does that mean i can plug some headphones into my phone and hear the tv audio through the app?

Is dolby vision good? When watching movies? How are the blacks for wide screen? On my Samsung nu6900 when watching toy story 4 in HDR. The wide screen top and bottom on the side of the wide-screen it's more of a black and grey-ish look and it's distracting. Does this tv have that same issue? Or are they completely dark black where I won't notice the backlight shining through the wide screen crap. Again very distracting
Great review man. I was back and forth between this or the hg9 but I heard that the newest firmware update messed the hg9 up. I also like the VRR since I game a lot. Definitely considering buying the 55 inch tcl

What's the span edge to edge for the legs in inches? I'm heavily leaning towards this tv based on your videos but don't know if it will fit on my current, narrow, stand. Wall mount is an option but would rathe not go there.

Best buy has the jbl link bar with the sw10 subwoofer on sale for $399 Canadian, $500 off! Not sure if the sales are the same in US or wherever you live. But its a really good soundbar. The built in Google chromecast and Android TV is kinda trash, but for sound quality itself, its great! Hope this helped! 👍
Well, I want to buy this TV, but it's not available in Europe. Maybe the Samsung Q70T would be a similar/better choice?

I would go for the Q80T at the least since the Q70T does not have local dimming feature. The local dimming will give you deeper blacks and hence a better HDR performance. The other option if available in your market might be the Sony X900H which will cost you less for a 65" but give you much better performance.
@@alexlalani337 the 55q70t is already expensive for me, the 55q80t is more expensive....
@@csabavarga9812 take a look at the Sony it might be the same price as the Q70t for a 55". In US the Sony is a little bit cheaper than the Q70t but a world of a difference in quality.
Hello I’m looking for a tv for the PS5 and was thinking of the TCL 50S425. Was curious if that would be a good decision instead of getting this one since 2.1 isn’t really needed
I’m debating between Sony X900H, LG Nanocell 85, & this TCL 6. Im mostly going to be using it for gaming on a PS5 and streaming Netflix, Hulu, & VRV. Which is the better overall package worth its value?

@@infamyb Yeah I also went with the 6 Series, got one last week and it’s on its way. Only issue is that due to next gen hype and the holidays around the corner. The 6 series have been selling out quick in Walmart and Best Buy. If you’d like after I get mine and have used it for a week, I could provide my first impressions of the TV.

Definitely been eyeing this TV, have a 55S515 currently but would love to upgrade to 65” and QLED/VRR/etc without breaking the bank. Can we expect TCL 6 series to go on sale for Black Friday?
Also, the only thing I’m still unsure on is if PS5 will be able to use this TV’s ability for 1440p/120 Hz. If so then I don’t need HDMI 2.1
1. This tv, already being 650 for the 55in, will not drop in price. That’s already an amazing deal man.
2. HDMI 2.1 is basically meaningless right now. A handful of games will run 4k/120hz and that’s it. 1440p/120hz is key right now and this tv can do that. Don’t buy all the HDMI 2.1 hype. I PROMISE YOU.

There is one more con. The screen itself on the 75 inch is very fragile. The previous 6 Series (2019) had a real glass over it and you could feel it when you touch the screen you knew it was there. But the 75 inch 6 Series (2020) does not have it. I think it's a bad decision on TCLs part to do that with this considering that if kids or irresponsible adults are around it there could easily be an an accident where it gets bumped or scratched and it would get damaged very easily. What are your thoughts on it?

I ended up getting the 65” Sony x900h which was $70 more than the tcl 6 series.
That’s a good tv. I had that one and this one side by side and went with this TCL. I’m glad I did. INCREDIBLE TV

@@unearth87 I went to buy the TCL and I noticed a ton of DSE on the display model at Best Buy. I also noticed it at target and so I decided to go with the Sony X900h. I am extremely happy with the Sony and the PS4 Pro looks awesome on it.

Does it really hit 120hz? I heard mixed reports on if it really can do 120 hz in 4K, does anyone know? How big of an upgrade is this from the 4 series? That's what I have.
It can do 120 but not in 4k. And yes this tv is way better then the series 4

Sort of. this review is very misleading. This tv can't do 4k/120. It can do 1440 at 120, but PS5 doesn't support that. I believe ps5 can do 1080/120 and this tv can do that. Or it could do 1440/120 on the series x/s.

@@ConsumerTechReview Hi, I got my Series X and my TCL 6 Series but the Game Mode would turn off when I enter the settings on the xbox. Since the Game Mode turns off I can't change the Refresh rate to 120hz in the setting on the xbox. Is there any way I can prevent the Game Mode from turning off??

If you haven’t already chose get the TCL 6 series. I did and I’m blown away by the picture.
I almost got the Sony but people are having a lot of problems with it after the 2.1 update and there's blurring I guess

Would you recommend the LG nanocell85?
Hell no I just returned that same tv TODAY! It’s way to dark and way too bright (if that makes sense) I tried all kinds of settings and adjustments and the pictures still looks like crap. Gaming looks great but not the best, but if you watch a movie or a show it will look like garbage. I played kong vs Godzilla and it looked like it never finished buffering. (Picture was fuzzy af)
It feels like with the nanocell85 you’re paying for the tech and bells and whistles but when it comes to color and sharpness it was total dogsh*t.

In Canada it's only available from 55 to 75 inches i dont know if it's different in other territories
