I have loads of those Umarex rotary mags too, from buying lots of used guns, and some of them are going dark and dull. I was thinking about putting a .177 wire gun cleaning brush in a drill and polishing out the holes a bit, I think having corrosion on the mags might slow your shots down by creating resistance. By the way, they are made of zinc alloy, the same stuff the guns are made from, not aluminium.
I bought my CP88 because it is very similar to the weight and feel of my 469 S&W. One thing I would like to change is the front sight to a fiber optic. Does anyone know how to do this?
Maybe the machines producing the Crosman CO2 are starting to wear out, making the seal thicker than original spec and causing issues? Wow I have only used 14 CO2 since I started shooting CO2 airgruns.Lots of shots from an XBG and Daisy 74
not really, the gun have issues from the beginning already, weird stuff.. but some people say theirs work fine, which is suspicious, i mean, have they really chrono it like me and try to test the gun out by reading every numbers? This cp88 do have a lot of issues with the fps staying consistent... if you fire fast, your first mag drop you down like 100fps, very annoying to see

tiberius t8.1 with breaker balls, 28-30joules when tuned up right, it blast thru coconut and can break bones :) The gamo and all pellet replica co2 guns are mostly 3-4 joules max, I am talking about 10x the power here, a real man stopping device
The "best" is not necessarily the "most powerful". Depends on what you'll use the air pistol for, and what the legal limitations are in your country. In the UK, for example, the maximum by law, without a firearms licence, for a person 18 or over, is SIX foot pounds. It's generally accepted that the Weihrauch HW45 spring pistol (with two power settings) is extremely fast and tough, .177 and .22. Also costly ! For a CO2-powered pellet air pistol, I recommend the SMK Victory CP1-M .22 with a 7-shot magazine. For a spring pellet air pistol, the Webley Typhoon .177 packs a hell of a wallop, but it is hard to cock, comes with a cocking "aid". Air pistols which fire BBs only are usually quite weak. My collection comprises 26 air guns, have been shooting for decades. Btw, Gamo pistols are quite low-powered, I've found. Good luck. Safe shooting !
Awesome pistol. Love my CP88C. Accurate on target and good fps. The rotary mags do not give any "firearm-realism" to it - as not the lack of blowback either. But the UX alu rotary mags have never, ever given me any jamming issues etc. They just work! Can't say the same about Sig Sauer's RPM belt fed mag system.. 😁😂
It takes 2.5 ft-lb to kill a rabbit with a headshot so if you point blank one with this itl do the job but you should always try and use an appropriately powered .22 cal rifle 12plus ft-lb for pests and self defense you might aswell just hit them with it it's a target pistol slash high end plinker

no need to get upgrade parts, all you need is to tune up the velocity and get the right projectiles. You are not gonna shoot paint-balls out of it, but breaker balls, 2x the weight , solid glass rounds with rubber coating, it will kill...
you cannot CCW in canada unless you get a special license, even just a normal firearm license does not allow you to CCW too. However, many people here will not choose firearm as a "self defense" option because it doesn't work well with the law. To stay away from stupid consequences, we will use things that is less likely to be charged with some stupid laws, so.. a tactical flashlight is better in that case.

I got a viglante 357 bb and pellet gun and when I tried to get the co2 on it leaked everywhere what do I need to do?
depends what the problem it, could be a bad seal , return the gun and get a refund, buy new one is the best
