Girl, our hair textures are so similar. I even have a patch in the front that's just frizzy and straight. It is so frustrating. I have to roll this section to get defined curls. The hair is COMPLETELY different, but it grows extremely fast. It's just crazy. Thinking about having it cut into bangs and layers.

Love your video! I started using the Moisturizing Gel last summer. I liked it initially, but it was sticky when it dried for me 😬 Switched over to Wetline in the winter, not bad! Thank you for sharing your review on the remaining gels 😁

I get what you’re saying about the gel. My hair is the same texture as yours and if the curls are defined but still too fluffy it’s not gon hold. The “heat damage” look means that every strand is coated and that even though it looks straight it’s going to slowly curl back up. 😂

😂 Fair assessment. We don’t have the same hair by FAR and this is my favorite gel/ only gel I use I’ve used it for 1.5 years
There is zero hold (strong hold is my fav) but when I try most of the ones y’all like my hair is hard and dry and requires me to re wash it even with a leave in. I say try it, it is sticky though that’s why I used their leave it with it but I constantly get compliments and have regretted using anything else.
I tired the pinkish one and didn't like it either. Eco styler and Auntie Jackie's works best for me!

I tried the strong hold awhile back and had a similar experience, strong where!? I probably won't ever use it for a wash and go again, but I'll use it for a puff or low bun.

This video made me think of that because of the mention of glycerin. I once saw a comment under a vid saying that products with glycerin draw moisture from the air into the hair causing the wash and go's to puff up.
I use eco for my wash and go's and they still get puffy in the heat 🥺

I've been following you since starting my hair journey almost 6 yrs ago I already knew you were not gonna like it that much! Ha Ha! Your peeps know! LOL. The best results Ive seen where you have been happy is with Eco, Wetline, and Camille Rose.... atleast you tried tho.....

I’m always fiending for a new gel cuz none of em so far have quite given me the hold I want, aunt Jackie’s curl boss is very close though! I gotta try these too.
try the style factor gel if you’re looking for hold-hold
Style Factor styling gels give that cement-like hold. You want a hold? That gel doesn't play (she reviewed it a few years ago if you haven't heard of it)!
And homemade flaxseed gel (if you cook it until it's very thick) gives the same exact hold. Your wash and gos can last so long.
I tried and it didn’t work for me like I’d hope, may have to revisit
I tried the clear gel a year ago & it was greattttt for my wash & go BUT then it flaked 😩 Thankfully, I also bought the red gel at the same time & when I tried it, it changed me lil wash & go lifeeeee! I wish I found this gel sooner! The red gel does not flake, it defines like crazy, AND my wash & go lasts for a WEEK! It’s the ONLY product I use for styling my wash & go! I don’t use leave ins & only oil my scalp once my hair is completely dry & I air dry so that could be by day 3. I do wish that they sold this gel in other stores, my local beauty supply store doesn’t even sell it. Only Sally Beauty has it & I either have to order it online or go all the way to the store which is far from me 😩 Either way, it’s worth the travel cause it’s that good!

@@happycurlhappygirl YES!! And I finished the whole tub and tried using less and on damp hair, with leave in and without and I just couldn’t crack the code. She just wasn’t for my hair but then again my hair also HATES glycerin especially when it’s one of the first few ingredients
Yea… I wanted to love those gels because I love the keracare professional line… but the curlessence and gelessence lines are horrible.?
Okay hear me out. You should try Maui moisture curl quench + coconut oil ultra hold gel (glycerin is the 2nd ingredient but it works for some reason). Also my hair is similar to yours, as in I can’t have it soaking wet for my wash n go

Can someone explain why we don’t want glycerin in a product? I thought glycerin was good because it brings moisture to the hair from the air.
