3 times a week is NOT a heavy user. Anybody who considers themself a heavy user is a wake and bake every day and uses at least 3 times per day. Most heavy users use all day EVERY day..

I worked in gaming for 25 years, you're always worried about the drug test. It's a nightmare. They want to control what you do 24/7 365. You can't even use cannabis on your vacation without worrying about losing your job. I got so tired of worrying about the drug test that I started drinking instead of using cannabis and became a full-blown alcoholic. Now that I'm retired I haven't had a drink in 13 and a half years and now I can finally use cannabis.
This is me with cigs. Like I wouldn’t even be smoking the bad stuff if A it wasn’t legal or so strong (no limits in nicotine) and B if jobs would just get with the picture and not fire for marijuana. I can’t wait for the day. Here in Florida they love it. Everyone does it. No one has cards and the hemp is as strong as regular marijuana. Unlike Louisiana who only serves medical and drags its feet on any and everything else.
There’s such a hypocrisy surrounding it. I’ve been researching cannabis for over 40 years. Despite the rhetoric I’ll never be convinced that it’s even nearly as bad for the human body as alcohol. I’m in constant physical pain. Alcohol just makes it worse. I wish I could just come home after work and chomp an edible. I’m guessing It’ll be legal right around the time I retire. The politicians and their wealthy friends need to corner the money first. 😒🙄

The psychoactive properties of THC do not affect cognitive function of the user after days of heavy use let alone months.

I understand that THC being oil based means it remains in the body longer than most drugs, but it's the "legal levels" that are simply beyond ridiculous.
You could test positive from passive consumption.
Therefore none users are penalised or worse having their income jeopardised because of the company they keep, basically your friends and family.

If the urine test can't determine if you are intoxicated at work, it's meaningless. It's like getting a DUI because a urine test determined that you drank alcohol at some point in the last two weeks.

I firmly believe that it's the moral duty of each and every schmoker to cheat on pre-employment drug tests if you can. They shouldn't have access to your bodily fluids for any reason anyway with the POSSIBLE excption of a workplace accident and even then it should only be to determine if you were under the influence at the time. What you consume and experience away from work should never be anyone's business but your own.

I was an all day smoker for decades. I had to pass a drug test to coach at the local high school. I was clean for 9 months before I tested clean. I tested at home until the line was faint. I then went to a local clinic and paid for a test. Once I was clean there I took the test. Such a pain.

Personally i think its a joke that we have to go through this discrimination... i have no problem functioning while lean. In fact i kid you not im actually better at my work. you just diluted the sample with all the water, there no way possible you're clean in 5 days after smoking for years.
@jmanownz985 well that's wrong because I didn't take the test after drinking so much water. I drank a ton for 2 or 3 days woke up day of the test took my morning piss and then took the test about an hour after my morning piss. Clear as day negative. Not once told I had to retest because it's "diluted". 🤷♂️
Many home drug tests come with a second box that you can mail it to a lab anonymously and keep the serial number ticket from the package. When its ready you can check online to see a more precise measurement with the serial number. Most companies held a 50 Ng/ML cutoff for THC the last time i tracked my levels. Just try to avoid telling the people at the post office that youre mailing urine. It was a very awkward moment.
I'm a life long smoker 35 years out of 50 about 8 years ago I was testing myself paying out of pocket at a clinic I smoke pretty much all day every day I completely quit I'm 5-7 180lbs I did this to insure i would get a union job just had to pee clean I'm not joking 4 month later I was still peeing dirty and I never smoked or around it.
Thank goodness tho I was tired of waiting and paying 85$ every 2 weeks to check so I started my own company and I have a successful company now for 8 years!
I have smoked multiple times a day for years. I quit June 12th to apply for a job. My family doctor (super cool) allowed me to get a drug screen on June 30th, prior to the employment drug screen. I tested negative. I exercise daily and drink almost a gallon of water a day. 5’9 and weigh 170lbs.

while ago from being a regular pothead since the mid 80s, and it took the best part of 10 weeks to clear the system and I am not a fat bloke
It depends on how much you drink. I was a super user 6'0" 200 lbs very active and failed twice at 51 ppm out of 8 test. One was not even 5 hours after 3rd use of the morning. Drink an energy drink pee once before giving them a pee. Being dehydrated or hydrated makes a difference.
I was a heavy smoker/grower that had to take court ordered test because of a vengeful wife during a divorce. I wasn't fat but definitely ate but was very active. While trying to produce a clean test I was also working out twice a day as something to help me get through the divorce as well as giving up the habit. It took a full 14 weeks to produce a clean test in my case. As I came to learn getting in the best shape of my life during this quest was not the best decision for passing the test. 5'9 185lb 3.5 to 7 grams of flower per day plus unknown amounts of edibles.
Hey buddy we are the same height and weight and I've been smoking 3.5 to 7 grams a day also for atleast 10 years and been smoking a total of about 31yrs since I was about 16 yrs old.

Took over 5 months to get a pass. 6'2" 165lbs smoked every day, multiple times a day for 15 years went from flower to almost exclusively extracts. Didnt workout but had an active work environment. When i quit i was no longer working but started biking every other day. After almost a year of no smoking and now drinking i am now up 200lbs. Eat way more now that i am off then when i was smoking all the time. Need to start smoking again and stop drinking haha.
I smoke daily and have been smoking since I turned 16 yrs old. I am 5'10", 200 lbs, 62 yrs old. I don't work out but I do a strenuous job. I have never failed a drug screen and took them regularly for work over the last 10 yrs. 13 days is the longest it has ever taken me to get a passing result.

@@steezyjoeyy No secret at all. Just stay hydrated and abstain from use. Then on the 10th day of abstinence take a cheap at home marijuana drug test. I buy 2 tests for just under $9 at Walgreens. Once I get a clean result I am GTG for a formal urine screen.
There is a technique to giving the sample though. Start pissing but do not let any urine into the cup until you are in "Mid" stream. It is important to be fairly well hydrated but not excessively. The theory is that if you use the first 1/3 of the urine in your bladder some of the chemicals or proteins they are looking for may be settled to the bottom of the bladder so piss that away before you allow the urine into the cup. Don't know if is necessarily true or has any effect at all. BUT I have never failed a drug screening using this method. It may or may not work for you.
It is not quick fix to a "test for cause" which is usually required to be done with little or no notice prior.

Out of fairness for the creator, I’ve paused the video as it started to share my story. Daily smoker, had to test for a job. Job was VERY physically demanding, not obese but overweight. I’m assuming it was the burning fat cells releasing stored thc but it took me me, no lie, three months before I tested negative.
Three months is actually the rough borderline for a heavy user over a number of years to become totally clean of the substance, and those 3 months are hell.
Anecdotally I would say I am like riley and an estimate of 6 weeks seem accurate. I took a 4 week break and was still testing positive although through home tests I was almost below the cuttoff, so 6 weeks would have probably been good for me to test completely clean. If you smoke within 10 minutes of finishing a drug test it confuses the test and you’ll pass, I administered drug test for 22 years and 80% of the time this works to pass a test everytime
Took me over 45-60 days to test clean every time my Dr/state required. I'd stretch it out as long as I possibly could. Very heavy user; all day everyday. Now suffering greatly to Cannibinoid Hyperemisis Syndrome and HAVE to GREATLY cut down. Not stoked about it either.
You can do it, my friend. I was a chronic drinker, cigarette smoker, and weed user for decades. Finally was able to quit all of it. Try zero nicotine, mint flavored vapes if you need to. They really helped me.

I'm a heavy smoker. I was smoking since 13 never had to quit always had access to it daily. When I was 23 I was on probation so I had to quit. My ng level was 184 and she said that was the highest she's personally seen. I quit smoking two weeks before my first test. And it was at the 184. Two weeks later I did another test and it was at 140 something and she believed that I was not done smoking she thought I was still smoking but gave me the benefit of the doubt. I told her I'm not. (I truly wasnt and was proud )When 2 weeks later again and it I was tested, it was 140 still and she thought I was smoking and I told her what do you think I'm really calculating it to a nanogram to keep it at the same level and she told me no and I said even if I try to do that do u think that's even possible and she told me no , I'm trying to point out is it took my body almost t 2 full months. It was one month than three-and-a-half weeks till I tested clean. I weigh 140 lb I am lean with litttlebbidy fat . I work 8 hour days on my feet constantly moving and lifting 50 plus pounds.

My #1 recommendation: Do plenty of cardio since it makes you sweat and burn more fat.
Recommendation #2: Drink a lot of water and consume a healthy diet. The less body fat you have, the faster THC will leave your body.

This has been my lifestyle for many years.
My #1 recommendation: Do plenty of cardio since weight training does not burn a lot of calories and usually does not elevate your heart rate for an extended period of time. Having your heart rate elevated longer (cardio) can help you sweat more, burn a shit ton of calories, and improve your overall cardiovascular health. Burning more calories helps you lose body fat faster, which is where the body stores THC the longest.
Recommendation #2: Drink a lot of water and consume a healthy diet. The less body fat you have, the faster THC will leave your body.

Maybe not at your level but I’m but I go 15-20 days a month but I’m 5’5”/135-140lbs/15-20% body fat & I go through around half a galon to a galon of water every time I go to the gym. I have a month to prepare. Should I stop taking creatine during this month so instead of holding water I flush it out ? Im still going to the gym going to be hitting the sauna a lot as well as cardio. Drinking a lot of water marinating it in lime juice with cucumber. Every morning since trying to get clean I’ll also mix a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to a juice like orange juice, as I heard both those methods help flush toxins from fat & trying to keep a clean diet mainly fruits & protein with the least amount of fat as possible. Your thoughts or any other recommendations would help a lot & thank you for the info you have already provided

In the past I was a heavy user; 1-2g concentrates plus 2-3g flower/ day and I tested well above 50 nanograms for over 6 months as a normal weight very active hiker (2-5mi./day)

I smoke that heavily and it's 45-50 days every time I need to clean up. 6-9 months seems excessive for most people.
A gram of concentrate in a day by yourself? My lips would be glued together with a fraction of that. Do you have an oil trail down your tongue?

I passed a test after 2 weeks off. That was after years of smoking half an ounce a week. Having lower body fat reduces the time.

I smoked several times a day seven days a week. I’m 5’ 10” tall, 200 lbs. I exercise with free weights three times a week for 45 minutes. I tested negative in 29 days after abstaining from smoking weed. I hope this info helps somebody. I didn’t start exercising when I quit smoking pot. I have been exercising for about four years now.

Like ask your company like this,I hate needles what type of drug test do you have. Then you know. Each company tests differently some hair some blood some both some urine and some swab. All depends on the company. Oh yes a D.O.T. physical a drug test is required.

I smoked for 10 years and passed lab test in 42 days. Actually passed in 30 but kept failing and passing until day 42. I got tested 5 times a week. 79 panel test. It can detect alcohol UpTo 4 days which is crazy.

I'd be a type 1 and I was looking into weight-loss surgery. For this, my dr. said I needed to be THC free before I could have surgery. It took 6 months for me to be THC free, with testing every month.

Hey Doc. So what about a user who was abstinent for about 4 months and clean. But then smoked for almost a week straight maybe twice daily? Would they fall in this category? I feel the half life might be over a bit also for the videos maybe? 7 day thc half life for his situation doesnt seem accurate for me at least. He just passed a home test using certo. He drinks about a gallon of water daily throughout the day. He used apple cidar vinegar and niacin. Took b12 before the home test. The line was feint but of course we know this is a negative result. And he still has about 5 days before the lab test. Are home tests accurate enough to trust that hed pass even with certo in his system?
I smoked almost a quarter oz a day for a few years, quit and tested negative in 12 days.

This would depend on the cutoff they use. I could smoke for two weeks then clean for two weeks and always passed the Dept of Corrections test.
I was a chronic Delta 8-9 vape and gummy user for nearly 3 years, morning to evening, and every so often I'd get medical grade vape through a friend. Today is now 3 months since I quit and I'm still testing positive. Yes, 3 months. Dollar Tree sells at-home test strips that I've been using. I'm 6'-0", 195, not obese, but still got some fat. I go for a morning walk, use free weights in the house, do intermediate fasting, drink lots of coffee, and eat high protein and fat. Just keep going I guess. Hope this helps someone.

I was testing myself at home weekly and was still positive on week 3. I finally tested negative on an at-home test after 4 weeks after quitting (yesterday). I have a pre-employment DOT physical which includes a urine test coming up in a few days. I actually have 2 separate urine tests this week. On one hand, I hear it takes longer to get results back when you've tested positive, which is a bad sign. On the other hand, I'd have assumed my job offer would've been rescinded by now. Definitely does matter...the more potent, the more THC % of the weed, the more overall THC you'll be ingesting and storing in your fat.

When I was 16-17, (5'11", 150-155 lbs) very active at the time, minimal body fat, I passed a UA 1 day after smoking (was not a frequent smoker at the time), and in the military (18-19 years old), probably 1 week after smoking (same height, 165 lbs). I do know my BMI was like 5-9% during those times. Really curious where I would fall now being inactive, 33, 5'11", and 150-160 lbs and smoking daily...sometimes, it's not a regular thing, just depends on where I am at and if it is readily available. I should also add that I have a very high metabolism, ie. I can eat pretty much whatever I want and I do not gain weight, regardless of my activity....but I also only eat 1-2 times per day, typically once per day.
I am a medical marijuana caregiver (grower) and a daily user, it takes a full 6 weeks to clear my system.
A lifetime ago I failed the test at a nuclear plant. When I next had to test I had forewarning. Now the test is, allegedly, very strict, meaning no THC in the system. I am using your recommended test strips and my results have been showing a faint line in the Test section, barely noticeable. I live in Canada where cannabis is legal and I can't believe they are still testing for THC here, meanwhile I know guys who drink a fair amount every evening and come to work feeling out of sorts but if they have to random test they're good by the time the company gets an appointment booked for them. Its interesting that with the half life it shouldn't be possible to test clean in 2 weeks or less. When I was a teenager I got in to some trouble and had supervised drug tests every 2 weeks for almost 2 years. Tests were on Thursday and I could smoke for three nights and pass the next one. It did take a couple fails to figure out a time frame. Weed was less potent back then though and I was lean and athletic.

I was a heavy every day user and was going to apply for a job. It took me three full months to clear my system. I bought a bunch of pee test sticks and tested myself every other day till I was clear.
I'm 6ft tall and around 240 lbs. I have a very physical job and am pretty active for the most part. I smoke daily and have for the last 20 years. 10 years ago I was on probation and they werent testing me so I kept smoking. One day I get a call from my probation officer saying I was required to take a couple drug and alcohol classes and that I would be drug tested at these classes. The first class was 10 days from the day I was called. I stopped smoking immediately. I knew I would fail the first test and just admitted that I would right away to the probation officer. The officer appreciated the honesty and told me just make sure I'm clean next month. I came back next month which was 42 days from the day I stopped smoking. I was worried the night before so I decided to take an at home test. I failed it. The next day I went to the probation office and told them look ive been clean for 42 days I took an at home test last night and failed it I dont know what to tell you. They tested me again and I failed but my line was really faded on the test. He said he could see that I was making an attempt to be clean and gave me another break and I was clean for the next test thankfully.
But yea 42 days I was still hot.

It took me about the 2 months to test positive. This is the only research that seems accurate that I have seen. I also tried the quick fix detox - none of them worked. I just had to continually drink water and test every day.

As a heavy daily user i had a test i stopped smoking 14 days before and drank painful amounts of water so that i only peed crystal clear at all times and the day of i was in pain all day peeing every 15 mins but i tested clear
im a heavy smoker and i can confirm it will take you 3-4months if you are a daily smoker. I was a life guard doing deep water save training and working out in a pool for 2 hours followed by a sauna and track practice monday-friday. I was still pissing dirty 60 days later and was working out 4 hours a day, finally after 3 months i was tested again and still failed (body weight was 145, height was 5'6, )
Well it stores in your fat cells I know that so metabolically there’s different durations from person to person but I’d save overall if you’re smoking 7 grams weekly it’s gonna take a long time to get it clear even if you’re extremely underweight

@@Jewellian Both of my tests were done by the probation service. I had also used MDMA prior to one of the tests, and opiates, cocaine and benzodiazepines prior to the other... And I've never had a break from smoking weed since I was 17 and spent four months in prison.

I can tell you I’ve take several drug tests in my life, and I’ve learned my ways to pass them most of the time.. I am a “fit” person I used to exercise regularly when I was tested and I found that just by drinking water I could pass a test the next day

Depends on what kind of test you're taking. If you piss too clean it's not a valid sample, if you have high concentrations of known masking agents it's an automatic fail. I've learned the hard way on this bs.

I have been an everyday marijuana smoker and when i had to stop to pass a drug test for a job, it took me a good 6wks to get a strong negative on an at home test. I was very thin so thought it couldn't take as long for me to clean out bc i didn't have a lot of fat cells for it to be stored in. I was wrong bc expected to test positive for one month but it was actually wks longer. I never agreed with drug testing bc also believe that alcohol is the most dangerous drug of all and isn't tested for while weed smokers were singled out bc of how long it lasted in the system. It's progress that weed has been made recreational in many states and no longer tested for bc it is biased and not a danger.

I was a heavy toker when i was 18 years old. Probably smoked around 2-3 g a day for 4-5 years straight. Had to pass a test because i got in trouble and they told me since this is your first test we won't expect it to be clean. Regardless i stopped prior with a 4 day window before the test. Went to the gym twice and ran 5 miles also sat in the sauna after. Also drank a lot of water needless to say i passed the test and who knows maybe i was clean only 2 days after. I will mention im 6’ tall and 150 lbs and ive been that weight my whole life very lean body type. So if you’re not overweight and you’re active I guaruntee 1 week is more than enough time to give a clean sample. Thats playing it safe IMO.

Hi doc I have a question . I used weed heavy for about 2 months and got off about 12 days ago . I have been working out 3 times a week for about 3 months k (lifting ) but recently increased my intensity.( started working out more 1 week ago ) I now lift 6 days a week and walk 2-3 miles 5 days a week . I am currently dropping weight ( 5’8 185lbs) . I know you’ve said that people shouldn’t start working out from no activity just to pass a drug test . But what about increased intensity? After watching your videos I’m going to tone back down just to avoid losing any more fat but I need to pass a drug test in 2 weeks and I’m not sure if I will pass . I am testing myself at home but I want to know what steps should I take to help me pass . Should I go back down to 3 days a week without walking ? Or should I stop working out until my drug test ? This is the longest it has ever taken me to get clean.

something to keep in mind, that many don't think about, is that you could have passed a hair test, even if you were still failing the urine test. It happened to me like that. After 90 days I was still failing the urine test and it felt like the people at the office were doubting me, thinking maybe I was still smoking. So after some research I paid extra for a hair test at the facility and passed it. Many people think hair tests detect longer than urine but that's not necessarily the case with chubby guys/girls and THC.
@@roundearthshill248Hair testing is by far the most accurate test. Laws limit how far back a perspective employer can get drug test results but theoretically how ever long a hair has been on your body, a hair test will tell the timeline and story of ones drug use.

I am a heavy smoker for many years. I am overweight and mostly inactive man. THC will stay in my system 7 months. That is with supplements and water flushing. Make sure you drink water and release your first morning urination before you test...
I was a daily smoker for years.
I had regular drug testing for a job. I'd know 5-7 days in advance that I had to test. I've passed multiple times with producing diluted samples with only 5 days of not using. It is not a comfortable experience to run that much water through your body the day of a test...but nevertheless possible as long as diluted samples are acceptible.
do they still ok diluted samples? i know back in the 80's/90's you could get away with that but i thought they changed that in the early 00's
@@zachw2538 I'm not really 100% sure and think this could certainly vary from state to state but i believe it falls under some sort of legislation requirements. Similar to the idea that test sample collectors are not allowed to watch you produce the sample when it's for employment purposes. Certainly it would be a different story for a probation or parole situation where a diluted sample would be rejected based on clarity alone.
My random testing situation at the time was unique where I had a minimum of 5 days to prepare which is necessary for success. My samples were collected by LabCor and I basically handed them clear pee and they never even mentioned it. To be clear..not actually producing clean, only beating the system and my only point was that it was possible in some situations. I've also smuggled before which is definitely a more practical choice for the standard random screen if you're intent on smoking.
All that said..No doubt LabCor noticed my clear pee but nothing was ever said about it.

Both me and my brother in law were smoking hard every day. For years straight. We stopped on the same day and started taking disposable drug tests. I passed in 4 days. He took 3 weeks. I weighed 150, he weighed 185, but used to weigh 300. It stores in your fat cells.
Stayed in my system for 5 months. 2 oz a week chubby not fat but since I am disabled I believe that the biggest factor is because I cant exercise. That's the biggest factor of all.
A potential job was lost when a manager asked me if I could pass a drug test. I told him I'd have to study for it.
