- Learn to make easy, healthy homemade Neapolitan ice-cream using frozen bananas as the base. This ice cream is thick, creamy and super delicious. The flavor and texture are just like a traditional soft-serve ice-cream but without any dairy or refined sugars.
You can make this ice-cream ahead of time and keep it in the freezer until you are ready to serve. This is a cold, creamy refreshing treat that you feel good about eating all summer long!

NEAPOLITAN ICE-CREAM RECIPE:
Vanilla Ice-Cream
3 frozen bananas
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 teaspoons maple syrup
2 tablespoons unsweetened almond milk
Blend all ingredients in a food processor or high-speed blender until thick and creamy. Transfer into the loaf pan, pushing all of the ice-cream to 1/3rd of the pan. Pop pan in the freezer.
Chocolate Ice-Cream
3 frozen bananas
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
2 teaspoons maple syrup
2 tablespoons unsweetened almond milk
Blend all ingredients in a food processor or high-speed blender until thick and creamy. Transfer into the center of the loaf pan. Pop pan in the freezer.
Strawberry Ice-Cream
2 frozen bananas
1 cup of frozen strawberries
2 teaspoons maple syrup
2 tablespoons unsweetened almond milk
Blend all ingredients in a food processor or high-speed blender until thick and creamy. Transfer into the last 3rd of the loaf pan. Pop pan in the freezer.
Freeze for a minimum of 2 hours or until it is set up and easy to scoop.
If you freeze the ice-cream for longer, it will become hard SO just be sure to give it a few extra minutes to soften before scooping. ENJOY!

My aunt's neighbor used to freeze half-banana on popsicle sticks, which she'd dip into choc sauce and it froze crispy right away, and that was even better than ice cream to us kids.

I use Greek yogurt instead of any milk so that I don't get that strong banana flavor, it's thicker and a good amount of protein!

I have been making this for years. Almost every day. I have made the vanilla and strawberry. I will try the chocolate. Thanks for sharing. I also add ground flaxseed powder and also sometimes sunflower or pumpkin seeds, even chia seeds.
I have a food processor. I also have a Ninja blender. I saw on another YT video this guy was using a food processor by Ninja. It looked exactly like my blender but much smaller. I don't want to dig out my food processor. Do you think the blender will work? Have you ever used store-bought frozen bananas? I don't want to wait for the bananas to ripen. Lol Ty in advance! :)
@@helenfong3339 I always have frozen banana's including the ones wating to be ripe. I prefer it this way. I have a ninja also and a blender. However I have a small power blender that will make a cup full. You remove the cover that has the blade on it. I even lick the blade😅 but please dont do that. When i make it I get instant ice cream. I am too greedy to put in the deep freeze. I put ingredients to make it more stiff like the flaxseed, sunflower, even raw oatmeal. I had chocolate ice cream up to last night. Just get one of those small high powered ones. I have the nutrabullet. Best thing ever.
This is the best. Instead of strawberry I used raspberry. I made the chocolate too. The icecream has a very light banana flavor. Definitely hits the spot for icecream. I used the nutribullet blend took a little longer but works.
Once you go bananas with your ice cream, you never go back 💜 This looks amazing 😋

If you make the chocolate, you kind of need 1 tsp more maple syrup, cocoa needs to have so much sugar to make it sweet
Just made this and found it difficult to manipulate the stuff without letting it sit in the freezer for a while. So instead, I just poured each flavour into one bread pan and it looks awesome, and was just put in the freezer to be enjoyed in a couple of hours.
They each taste great though, and my family all loves banana so I'm psyched to see what they think!

I put them in my dehydrator with some yogurt at 34 degrees with some sprinkled nuts... Then added that to the cold version it was great.

omg this is the best recipe for healthy ice cream I could find! And props to you for making it vegan :)
I used to make this all the time in my little nutri bullet when I was craving something sweet. I would freeze bananas until they were semi frozen, put them in the nutri bullet with a tiny bit of almond milk like maybe half a table spoon (because I would only use around half a banana) and blend it up until it was thick like ice cream. Then, I would add a little bit of cocoa and blend it again. It curb my craving for chocolate ice cream and was still really good! I think I sometimes added in a tiny bit of honey too or stevia. I think I’ll start making this again
There was a food truck at Colorado State University in 2013 that sold this soft serve, though she had other flavors that included peach mango and pineapple with the banana base. She also did pumpkin for the holidays and during summer she made soft serve with watermelon as an alternative option to the banana. This truck was Banomanom.

I didn't understand about freezing bananas but now I do and how much sweeter it makes the ice cream - yummy! I never ever use sugar as I can't afford to put on weight so I use Canderel or something similar - also yummy!
