Great western and Randolph Scott is always the best. Good to see Jack Lambert as Jet and Edgar Buchanan is always good - kind'a like a W.C. Fields role.

Maybe this is a good place to ask a question that has bothered me for more than 50 years (since I was old enuf to know how stringy beef gets when it has been run hard.) Who owned all those cattle in the westerns? Stampedes were gristle in the making and that would mean serious losses at the market when came time to sell for beef.If anyone knows I really am looking for an answer.

I don't know the answer, but if you watch "the Sundowners" or "High Lonesome" in the opening credits they show a list of all the ranches that were used when they filmed. Those films were supposed to have been filmed back to back on the same set, but the list of ranches is different.

Thank you. I suppose its possible since you gave me a source to check, this didnt occur to me til reading your answer. Maybe the movie companies bought the cattle outright and used the same cows in as many movies as possible before they had to move to a new herd. lol Then possibly the y were all sold for dog food. ?????? Who looked closely at the cows and said "Ive seen that one before in a Roy Rogers picture" LOL
