I have found memories of my daddy and I sitting and watching all the westerns each Saturday on a big 10 inch black/white TV. Daddy has been gone many years now. I still watch the westerns and think of him . I guess I've seen this movie a dozen times. But it never gets old
I’m 18 and still watch these old westerns with my father. He watched them with his father as well. I want the tradition to continue when I have children.
he days without cell phones were much better...more relaxed.Kids read more, played outside, were more intelligent, better physically fit. cell phones suck
And with all things with Lloyd Bridges I just want to say this is a great good movie. I'll let you know that when I get done with it. Who's apparently I'm only in the first half hour🎉😂
I’m 69 and still love my western’s till today. I don’t know to many women like myself that watches them. I’m sure there is. Randolph Scott was a wonderful actor. There was a lot of great actors in this movie. Thank you so much for sharing. 🤩
Ann Dvorak had about the best set of legs I've ever seen! I never really cared for the song and dance parts of the old westerns but she's easy on the eyes 😊😉😜
Awww this is better than just a great movie. I love watching Randolph Scott movies, he’s such an excellent Actor. Thank you for uploading this amazing Film 👏👏🎉🎉🎉🎉❤️❤️❤️❤️
I enjoy seeing black and whites colorized. It always gives you a different take on the movie. Seems you notice the details more. Maybe not the actors though? Fine western. Great supporting actors too. Randolph was a true gentleman. Too bad what is now Hollyweird. It sure messed up.
As a kid who live in the 50s, enjoyed the westerns that came to the theaters drive-ins and good ole Saturday morning shows on a small 13 inch black& white TV that was snowy most of the time. Like the Lone Ranger, The Cisco Kid and Poncho, The Red Rider, Any Oakley, The Flying Crown Ranch. Gene Autry, Roy Roger’s, Plus many others. Things then seem much better. Then the 60s hit. A war nobody wanted to go to. The draft took most of us. Except Brandon he avoided the draft by buying out a member of the draft board. Brandon has always been a cheat. However, many of young Americans never got to come home. If they did, life would never be the same. It’s seemed this country forgot what was important and went sideways. Just look how we have become today. I could never think this American dream could become so distant from our teaching and morals.its so sad how corrupt things are since the last 3 years.i and millions of others who survived Vietnam were treaded like trash. We were hated when we came home. Couldn’t be proud for serving this country. Was forced to feel ashamed of our service. My world and others who served. Were cheated out of our young life for nothing. People like Jane Fonda and the socialist media robbed us. Jane with their communist propaganda radioed from Hanoi to most military serving there. She received the title on Hanoi Jane! Here she is loved by the Hollywood elites. She is a traitor to us who served. Sad of what this great nation has become we must turn it around for our children and grandchildren children. Stop this madness.seem only a few wish to stand and fight for this country it’s the only republic left. No place to go from here.
I too enjoy looking closely at the horses in a western. I’ve noticed that when there’s a gunfight or raid, nobody ever shot a guys horse so he couldn’t follow them or get away. I mean, take a cowboys horse away, and he’s grounded. It must have been an unspoken code among cowboys - never harm the horses. Or take them away.
It always gets me that directors of these western movies did worry about locations where they shot their movies. They show a scene that is in the rocky mountains in Colorado or the Nevadas in California and try to sell as Texas. Of course easterners didn't know the difference. But I guess Texans don't know there are no mountains in Texas either. I can usually guess where the movies are shot just by the scenery. But when they show sand dunes there's only two places new mexico or Colorado.
@@vickywhitesell7482 I think that a what they called one of MGMs backlogs by the Sierra Nevadas. Many movies shot there. And, there's also an Abaline Texeas.
I admired Randolh scott how he wear COWBOY OUT FIT he have knowledge in clothing specially at the near END OF THE MOVIE where he wear Checkerd long Sleeve
I just love the music at the very beginning of this movie. I wish they played more of it. But I can’t bear Ann Dvorak’s singing and dancing. I fast forward when that happens.
Another classic . . . like SHANE., or like HIGH NOON, or like THE HORSE SOLDIERS, or like EL DORADO etc etc etc. And Mr. Mandelbaum saying *YOU THINK YOU'RE BETTER THAN ME ???*
The simplicity in this movie is true American spirit. No woke twisted interpretation of sickness tgat is spoiling our culture, families, and American way of life. Now, when are ongoing start standing up like the sheriff- Mr Scott?
So the sheriff is helping her out, but Rita kicks him? What the heck? 4:39 And then... the bartender says he can fix the sheriff up with Rita... and the sheriff slugs him! The sheriff should have said thanks. 6:24
They wore corsets, which were made with stays that held them in and were tied very tightly. Very harmful to the health and eventually everyone quit wearing them..
You can always count on Randolph Scott for a good western! I had a fairly bad day but this put me back in a good mood!
AND DON'T FORGET GARY COOPER

Same here. Miss the old man.. If it has Randolph Scott, I've seen it ten + times.

I've been watching western movies since I was 9..am still enjoying it..at 69..great actors..Randolph Scott was brilliant in all his movies..
Being 82, I know what you mean, Randolph Scot was inimitable, and retired early to his ranch.
In the 60s, my dad and I watched these westerns on late evening b&w TV, lots of memories of those days without cell phones or computers
🎬❤️
Those were the days
Yes I know what you mean, happy days.

Classic American western film. Great acting, great story line and a fine performance by Ms. Dvorak.. simply delightful!
1:14 love the way his horse follows him. He liked that horse a lot. Used him in all his westerns. At least most of them.🤠🐎
Randolph Scott looks as if he were born to play these western roles. He played lots of other roles but westerns just fit him .
i just love randolph scott movies😊
Whatever happened to Randolph Scott is what happened to the industry.
I liked very much the horse, very smart and loyal, fallowing his rider wherever he went.🐎❤️😉
I agree ! Scott didn't say a word to him and the horse followed right with him. Brought a smile to my face.

My compliments to Ann..what a doll,She might have single handley made this the best western ever, feel like I was melting watching her sing.
Trained first class voice.

No argument from me.
I keep watching western movies for some lovin' it memories LET IT BUCK
Mr. R. Scott ; ALWAYS good value.
A brilliant old movie randolf always plays the bad ass hero a lovely old movie never ages
This by far the finest colourised film I've seen in a long time. The picture is near perfect.
If you're not being sarcastic....
Ann should have been a bigger star , she had great talent coming from an acting family and she was also gorgeous.
I watched her performance and was thinking exactly the same thing. She had the "it" factor, like very few have.
The old movies only had artistic talent and a love of the art to work with .
great watch love these old westerns keep them coming
🎬❤️
He is like the mister Rogers of cowboys- gentle, kind, even natured, modest and giving!!
I think that's the youngest I've seen Lloyd Bridges in these old Western's 🤠🐎
Great movie with the great Randolph Scott, one of my favorite actors. Thank you.
I am also enjoying the music. Glory glory hallelujah
Uncle Joe of Petticoat Junction- the character in which he plays, is one of the better cranks in television history.
And let's not forget Fred Ziffle . From " Green Acres "
@@ronald-ok2wc you mean Arnold's father?
The western T shirts are really cool and a collectors treasure!

Fine western. Great supporting actors too. Randolph was a true gentleman.
Too bad what is now Hollyweird. It sure messed up.
Very happy ending. This is the real opposite of High Noon. The townsfolk and farmers stood stolid against rifraff.
When the world was simple and not so complicated
🎬❤️
Big ash tree to start clip. Awesome tree and worth its weight in gold. But the acting is golden as well
I love the intro to this movie. A long wide shot with a great musical score.
Me too. But I can’t find out the name of that music they’re playing in the opening credits. I really enjoy it.
Great actor Scott 🎥🎥🎥

Lloyd Bridges and Rhonda Fleming Rhonda Fleming was beautiful she could stop a stampede
Always a good one.
Yeah they should have left this one black and white cuz it's better than black and white when you watch
This is at least the third movie I’ve seen with Randolph Scott riding the same horse. It must have been his personal horse. Blaze face leggy sorrel.
I too enjoy looking closely at the horses in a western.

Liked the lovely Ann Dvorak ever since I saw her in 1933’s “Scarface”. She’s so sexy she turned Randolph Scott straight!
Scarface was released in 1932 . Not 1933.
