My 9th grade English teacher back in 1976 made an audio tape of himself reading The Tell Tale Heart for us to hear in class. A man ahead of his time. I never forgot it and went on to get a Bachelor's in English Lit. Plenty of Poe!
Can't wait to listen to almost all of this. That Valdemar one is the most horrific story I've ever listened to and gave me nightmares while I was half asleep listening to it once. I'm sure that's the sign of a masterpiece, but never again for me.
Elegant tales, convoluted, elaborate, sentences folding over, into each other. Vivid word- painting narration. "Read us a story, please, Tony, and please act out all the voices all the parts!" Brilliant, Tony. Thank you.
Great narration Tony! love some of Poes writing and some of it is lost in the jungle of his love of words. Valdemar chills to the bone though. Thank you
Ah, Mr. Walker. Thank you for this. Nearing weekend, a cyclone outside, an adorable cat next to me, I say, my weekend plans are made. On a separate note, would you please consider reading the Professor Challnger novels at some point, in your other channel? Thank you for this. 👻
Edgar Poe has been a favorite of mine ever since I discovered him when I was a young teen, and your narration is wonderful. Thank you for this Halloween treat!
Edgar Allan Poe is one of those writers that no one really talks about because it’s just so obvious why he is so popular. An absolutely incredible poet and by far my all time favorite writer.
He did a really cosy one it would suit your reading style it was based in a lighthouse he goes there with his dog I think and a storm rages outside, can't remember the name but it's good for sleepy times
I'm so very glad that some people understand that story tellers are unique to the human condition, and don't use AI... that crap is an assault to the ear , and the literature...it's tragic that some people actually prefer it....
@ClassicGhost I said "THE OLDER ACCENT". Like, the historical accent. I don't know who I am speaking to right now, but an English-speaker should have understood my very clear comment.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Poe warms the cockles of my black, little heart. ❤
Dear Tony, Thank you, you sound as if you are relishing each and every word of these wonderfully dark tales.
I like me a bit of Poe
Over 4 hours of Poe and narrated by you? I must be having one wonderfully brilliant dream. Thank you kind Sir!
Love you my darling You rule ! Night night all blessings be unto you
Poe! A shiver treat on a cold, grey wet, blistery day. Hot chocolate and snuggling dog! Thank you, Tony!
Over FOUR HOURS of Poe on the verge of Halloween? Oh, Mr. Walker, we just don't deserve you 🎃 You're far too good to us!
At the rate Tony's going, he'll sleep like the dead when Halloween's over.

YAAAAAAAAAY :D 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Chapters please, yes you have time stamps, but RUclips chapters are better.
Have a lovely day & thank you for your work. 🙃
how do i do chapters?
so chapters replace timestamps ? You don’t need both?!
The timestamp and title is what i do anyway so that seems to be a chapter. I’m confused
Am I dreaming ?
Is it April 1st ?
Is this a CON ?
Will we be billed ?
Lucky usses.
It's POE.
And It's 4 of them.
I'm so very glad that some people understand that story tellers are unique to the human condition, and don't use AI... that crap is an assault to the ear , and the literature...it's tragic that some people actually
prefer it....
Some do . It’s true
I'm not sure that I want to listen to Edgar Allen Poe.
I remember this all too well.
Poe was American...someone should try to recreate the older accent.
Hint, hint. I can't do it.
Until then, this one is still very nice.
Is there no American on the internet who offers lots of Poe audiobooks for free ?

You don't know how spooky the bayou country in Louisiana is.
Love your narrative, Tony, but Edgar Allen Poe?
