Samsung has recently removed the SMART IPTV and several apps from the Samsung Stores. There was actually no official announcement as to why this is done however further investigation I found out that Samsung is planning to install more Apple TV Casting and Apple TV services and although it is unclear as this is the reason why they removed SMART IPTV from their store, Samsung TV now simple no more SMART then just a TV with RUclips, Netflix and Amazon Prime.

Husham-Thank you so much for this fix!! I had uninstalled SmartIPTV due to some tech issues and coould not find it again to reinstall it. After extracting AL the contens of the folder and putting it on the root of my USB, it worked like a charm. I am now able to watch my IPTV again!! Thanks to you man!!

Super helpful. Thanks Husham! For those folks mentioning they cannot get the TV to install the app from the USB, you need to make sure that the downloaded folders are at the root (top level) of the USB stick. I had to manually move the folders in Windows first. Also, then switch the TV off, plug in the USB and then switch the TV on to trigger the installation. Husham does mention all this but he’s the man, so the rest of us struggle a bit sometimes.
What is the Root of the usb!! all I get when I plug the usb into the tv is 2 empty folders nothing happens its driving me mad... the tv is a 2018 model

Ive done this, the installation says complete but the app doesnt show anywhere on the TV?
john G The root is just the top level of the drive as you look in your file manager. So if your USB is drive G: say, the two folders would be directly below G: in the hierarchy. Good luck!
M_G_ To find the Smart IPTV app after installation, I had to go into Featured, then Apps, then My Apps. Hope this works for you.

Thanks so much Husham, i didn't expect it to work, like other videos and i struggled to start the setup az every time i insert the USB drive, it didn't start setup, however, today when i logged in the applications setting icon, i found the smart IPTV.

Finally got it to work. If you have an 2012 E series samsung tv then what you may need to do when you plug in the your USB is wait for Smart Hub to update and install Smart IPTV. It can take a while so be patient but you should see the smart hub update appear on your screen. You may notice once complete that the Smart Iptv icon that you're use to seeing isn't the same but it still works. Unfortunately it seems like you also have to leave the USB drive with the smart IPTV in the TV which isn't a major issue but would be nice if smart iptv could be installed using the TV internal memory space.

this is my samsung tv UE43J5502. I followed your guide and it works. Smart iptv installs. I have disabled automatic updates of the system and apps. The problem is that when I turn off the TV and then turn it back on, the system automatically recognizes SMART IPTV as an expired application and automatically removes it from my apps. Can you help me? Thank you.

Yes, the only way to solve this problem is turning off and starting again the tv, so that the app installs automatically once again

It dosen't work for me. I download the link. I extract it in the usb. When i plugg in the usb it only shows that a usb stick is open, and i can open it in the samung tv just like the computer, i can see the files. But no installation begins when i plugg in the usb in the tv. Could you please help me? Maybe i'm doing something wrong

Hello Husham please could you help me, I have just purchased a new Samsung series 7 smart tv to replace a broken one my problem is that I have now not got Smart IPTV. I watched your video on installing it by memory stick but the new tv won’t let it install I think that there must be a security system in the tv. Or maybe I have not done it correctly could you please explain which files need to be copied to the stick many thanks your channel is amazing.

I have a 2012 orsay Samsung UE40ES6300, when you suggest to go to 'More Apps' during the process that option is not available on my Samsung tv. When I plug the usb stick which is formatted to exFAT and has the 'Smart IPTV' folder and inside that folder the following files and folder: app_icons, config.xml, index.html & widget.info. I plug the usb into my TV and nothing happens at all. The TV knows that there's a USB installed but no files are shown. As I previously mentioned below, I was using Smart IPTV on this tv perfectly fine before but as I was not aware at the time of doing a Smart Hub update that the app was no longer available in the Samsung store.
Do you have any Idea Husham belong what I have already tried how then to get the Smart IPTV to install if you think it should be working ?

Thanks for the vid. I had the application installed, it works however it is glitchy. Every time I go back to the menu it resets itself and I have to do it reload 2-3 times to fully load the channel list. Anyone know a fix to this? I have disabled both auto updates.

Is this supposed to work on 2019 Samsung TV?? because I've tried following all the steps carefully but it just shows the files on the usb stick once the UBS is plugged into the tv. It doesn't install automatically like you say it should.
Thanks works, but there is some way to install on the internal memory of the Samsung if you need to leave the USB on to see the application

Hi Husham, Thanks for this video, the installation is not working on my tv for some reason, I have three USB ports, one in the middle is the USB for HDD, the other two on either side are labelled 5v 0.5A. I have tried installing all versions on your site in each of the ports but each time it gives me the option to 'browse' or 'cancel'. Nothing starts automatically. Although I did see it say automatically installing once, but the IPTV didnt appear in the app menu - the file version I used when it did install was the 2018 version. As I didn't see it in my tv menu I tried installing again, but it gave me the 'browse' and 'cancel' option. How can i install this please? I had this before on my TV but i had to reset the tv due to some wifi issue and now I can't get it back? (I have switched off Auto Update!)

I have a 2012 -2013 Samsung UE40ES6300 which use to run Smart IPTV fine until a software update removed it. I saw in some of your comments possibly on RUclips on how to install Smart IPTV via USB stick but that it will not work on 2012 Samsung TV models, is that still the case and if so is there another alternative or app that can be used? When I try the Orsay file and plug it into my TV nothing happens and there is no option to click 'More App'.

Also the for your information , TV. Make sure the files uploaded correctly. And make sure usb always connected. Your TV model doesn't have enough storage to allow files to be kept in it

Honestly I don't remember I just did quick format on the stick. But in any case I doubt it is NTFS because that's compressed partition

But it's ok to drag and drop all the folders just like the video shows. You can do the full folders or just the two folders I showed in the video both will work

I have a 2018 UN65NU6900, downloaded and installed perfectly. I don't think people understand the "Root File". Only the unzipped files should be on the USB stick. Thats it thats all. If there is any other data on the stick it won't work. Thanks Husham
I installed the app and added my M3U and MAC address, and it said it added successfully, but when I restart the app, the URL fails to load. I don't know if this app is still working in Feb. 21 or not.

Sorry the IPTV smarters is not good in long term in the Samsung TVs so I stopped that project and specially I have talked to them and they basically said no they don't want my help to install in Samsung TVs

This is strange because I have smart iptv app on my firestick and there is working fine. What do you think it might be the problem? maybe there are different versions from tv and firestick? any recommendation?

Should have worked to be honest. But just to be sure. Make you erase the list from TV and then add it again
