- welp this is it!! I am so ready to cry when this game is out lol
But yeah this will be the FINAL upload I'll do and for that occasion, I decided to upload this track as a send off to these videos!! who knows? maybe I'll return to these if ATLUS decides to do another release interesting enough for me to do these videos on (or if they do a re-release/DLC of P3R containing The Answer or FeMC lol)
but overall I really am glad to see that many of you have liked them and chose to stick around because of the videos I made so in a way, Thank you!

Didn’t notice cause of some weird side effects I was experiencing.
Altus should have gave people a warning that the last twenty or so minutes of P3 has imagery and sounds that may cause your eyes to water.

this game kinda makes you realize that you leave so much behind when you die, its just as painful leaving the people you love behind as it is losing the person you love

That’s why he was going around talking toe everyone, to say. It’s why for days the game says how tired you are. But the invoker and S.E.E.S armband in the desk either is supposed to represent how S.E.E.S is disbanded and they finish their job or my favorite interpretation of it being that's the protag's armbad and invoker he left before passing on and thats the only memento they will have of him. It wasn't even just the protag's sacrifice, but talking to Akinari's mom by the shrine and hearing that denouement be fully voiced, that HURT
Then, even knowing full well how this story ends, they made this ending sequence that even more of a gut punch
It's more cinematic, more expressive, and even more heartwrenching
God, what a beautiful, moving game this is

This ending hits super hard because you control Makoto for one year of his life, the last one I may add. You are there with him when he overcomes all these life or death situations, builds bonds, helps people, falls in love (or creates his own harem), suffers losses, and ultimately selflessly decides to sacrifice himself for his friends and the world. You are sad because you wish he could continue to live on happily just as he deserves, but at the same time you are content that he seems happy and in peace by the end, because he lived a life to be proud of.
The only thing that was in my mind while I was genuienly weeping at the end of the game was Junpei's words "God, this is so hard..."

Here on March 4th, 2024 US time and March 5th, 2024 Japanese time after finishing my very first run of Persona 3 Reload. I was hoping to finish the game before the deadline due to the date's significance, and I succeeded. While P3R isn't my first and favorite Persona game (that would be Persona 5 Royal for both), I can see why Persona 3 is well beloved by many fans. And I am glad to have temporarily transfered from the Phantom Thieves to the Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad via the remake. So I say the remake was a success!
Everyone’s talking about how they’re crying at this song and the ending, but for me I was smiling and laughing the entire way. The ending I don’t see as one of sadness and farewell, it’s an ending of joy and hope. The hope that we all can go out, make bonds, and live our lives free of our fear of death, as we’ve accepted our finite lives same as the protagonist. And this song, Memories of You, is the perfect encapsulation of our experience with the game and the final goodbye as we put down the controller and live our lives…
That is until we begin New Game+ to experience it all over again :)…
I love your interpretation of the ending but I feel like that's more applicable after The Answer's ending. I've played this game 4 times now (each ver), and this most recent playthrough through the lens of adulthood but I do absolutely agree that the ending is very hopeful and empowering after the tears have dried. It's such a beautiful message and I'm so happy a new generation of young adults can experience it. It's surprisingly deep and nuanced for a nearly 2 decade old jrpg which has aged tremendously.
Persona 4 or 5 wouldnt have happened without makoto so i say this is as happy as it gets

Just finished the game.
I was shocked by how it actually got me to cry, especially as someone who played the OG (FES) and already felt like Persona 3's story had already wrung out all my tears.
But geez, as soon as the close your eyes prompt appeared on screen, I was immediately brought back to the OG game and couldn't help it (just as how that prompt got me bawling at that exact moment in the original). And also immediately after that, it's really unfair to play Memories of You. 😢 Talk about a double whammy.
This remake truly was special, and was all I could really ask for. Persona 3 is so special to me and I'm so glad it was done justice with this remake :]

Literally just finished Persona 3 Reload and I started bawling my eyes out when I saw the last cutscene. I sat there for 20 minutes in the main screen, just crying lmao. Finished the game last night and I was speechless for the entire credit roll.. and then I started sobbing. 😢
I've waited a decade for this. I finished it this morning, hardly an hour ago, and even though I knew what was coming... I cried like a child. It felt like an old friend the whole way through, and I'm glad that even after all these years, and everything that has happened, I can hear this song as proof that we've made it this far.
And to those in our memories who couldn't make it to today, who would have been overjoyed to see such an impactful game so faithfully recreated... this one's for you.
That “Eternity” at 4:35 always gets me
After my dad passed away, this song just hits differently. It reminds me of how much my mother, my brother, and I truly loved him how much it hurts. I can't help but cry when I hear this song he was my hero and brought me and my family out of a dark place he will be in my heart forever and for always.
Bro my first persona game was 5 Royal, so Im pretty new. But I played Persona 3 Reload and was not expecting alm of what happened in the story and at the end it all hit at once.
Edit: I just started playing 4 Golden and got to the part where you go to tatsumi port for the trip and heard this song in the club escapade and started crying again.
The thing I liked about the Reload version is the piano tune. Its much more melancholic. Other than that, both version relieved the 'calm before storm' feels of 2000s era.

I can guarantee you if this version came out in the place of the og 2006 version and the 2006 version came out in 2024 people would be hating on the 2006 version just as much. Nostalgia is hell of a drug. Both versions are incredible

I’m so glad I waited to listen to this until I finished the game itself. I had only played P3 Portable a few years back and considering that game made me cry, Reload’s version of the ending made me full on SOB. Such a beautiful game that I will cherish forever. Such a beautiful song.

I just finished the game today. It has touched me unlike any other game I have played recently. I rarely cry at the media I play or watch. However, the ending of this game broke me. I cried for like 20 minutes straight. It is so tragic yet so beautiful, just like life and death.

According to canon as it is now, he drifted off to sleep in Aegis's lap with a smile, secure in the knowledge that his friends were on the way to join them, at peace now that he'd fulfilled the promise he made with his friends.

i waited until a remake for this game to play it and remained spoiler free. I cannot express how sad i am.
I think this is the one song in P3R where no one can say definitively if it's good or bad. whichever one you listen to in game first is the one you'll like more

I beaten this game 6 times, 2 times as Makoto, then 2 times on P3P as femc, then another 2 times on P3R. Each time on hard then merciless. Wanna know the thing that never changed on each of the play throughs? I cried my eyes out, regardless of how much i knew the story. Now? I think i'm ready to face the answer, no matter hard it may sting. Thank you Persona 3, not just from me, but for everyone you taught a beautiful lesson about life
just finished my playthrough (and crying) so now I can listen to the OST to my heart's content. This song still hits me like it did all those years ago :')

Today is March 5th, and Makoto Yuki burns his dread to the end.
I was listening to this song a lot when I driving around as I was half way through the game but wondered why I hadn’t heard it in game yet since it’s such an upbeat song.
I just beat the game two days ago and now listening to the song hurts my soul so so much

Im glad my first time listening to this was after beating the game for the first time last night. Persona 3 reload is my first expirience with this title and im truly glad it was. I dont normally get this emotional playing games but im a little bit embarassed to admit that i was an uncontrollable mess once the credits started rolling. It truly saddens me that i wont be able to expirience this game for the first time again, but im very happy i saw it through to the end

I played persona 5 before persona 3 and i liked this game a little more
Oh, Persona 3 is significantly better than Persona 5. Being able to actually play the game before the ten hour mark is a game changer.
I loved this game when I first played it in 2007 as a high school student, and I still do today as a high school teacher.

I just completed the game... This is just art, a beautiful love letter for persona fans. The entire game, specially the ending was an unforgetable experience. I dont have words to say how beautiful this game is.

@@maglock1857 I legit had trouble finishing the game. Each day of march my eyes got more and more watery until the 31st. Then it skipped to the 3/5 and i couldnt hold it in
ngl i was already depressed the day i finished reload so even though i’ve already seen this ending 8383 times it still made me just break down
The scenery with makoto and aigis on the rooftop is so beautiful and this version of the song is great as well im so glad atlus remade this amazing game. Going into reload I knew i was gonna cry at the final scene but man I didn't expect to hit me just as hard as the first time i played fes
This was my first Persona game and man it was beautiful. From start to finish.
Beating P3R and experiencing it’s story for the first time completely blind was certainly an experience I won’t ever forget. I have a chronic illness that may kill me and seeing the life Makoto Yuki (or my self insert) lived and leaving it all behind genuinely made me weep. This game has fundamentally changed my views on life and death. Here’s to living for the future even when it’s not guaranteed.
