Hi Renee&Randy 🎉 it's a beautiful thing to do, picking flowers, especially when for one's self ❤ Year's back we used to pick Daffodils as fill in job, Oh my, it was bone cold!.. not fun 🥶 what was fun was picking apples and strawberries...of course eating as you pick....Apples definitely taste their best straight from the tree 😋🍎🍓

Tulips 🌷 are my favorite flowers! I love them! There is one called midnight and it’s gorgeous. It’s a deep dark purple that’s almost blue. Thanks for the info! I’m near the Tn-Ky state line. That would make a fun trip for us.

I live in Philpot and I believe there is a lavender farm in Hancock County you might like. Near here is also a really fun place called Preservation Station. In an old schoolhouse. Check it out.

P.S. last year when i went to visit my two best friends who are Dutch of course they took me to the Garden. I found out the original tulips where way smaller than todays tulips. There is also a Tulip Museum where thet preserve still grow the original tulips and other's throught the century. I think that is what i remember. I think the outdoor museum is in Leemen.

Beautiful! My go-to flower is Iris. My mom had several huge iris beds and one circular tulip bed. Nothing says spring like these beauties. 🌷🌷🌷🌷

The looked the same to me too...but one color was much shorter than the other. Once I got them home in a vase, the looked great together.
I don’t know if this is just an Old Wives tale, but I heard if you put a penny in the flower vase with the water it prolongs the life of the flowers. The copper apparently prevents algae. Have you heard this?
The lady who wrapped my flowers said that she doesn’t recommend it…so I didn’t do it. But I had heard that too!
