Like so many others, I found you through the Pollux video way back when. (As I'm not going very gray yet! LOL) As I have a dog that we adopted from Russia in 2016 (I live in Sweden.) Pollux's fate tugged at my heartstrings and your joy over being able to provide a home for the cute boy. When you expanded into other content than hair and dogs (dogs still my fave) I found you are truly a natural broadcaster. To a degree that I can't be alone in feeling that I "know" you. Another content creator I watch has also "revealed" some of the behind the scenes workings, but one question that he wasn't sure about was this: How does someone who has a YT subscription and watches your channel affect your "ad income?" Don't get me wrong, I am soooooooooooooo spoiled by not having ads pop up that I will never go back to a "normal" YT viewership, but it is a question that I am curious about. I throughly enjoy your channel and appreciate how candid you are about sharing your life and family with us. 💕💕💕

I watch it every Christmas and on his birthdays to see his amazing transformation since he had the good fortune to be adopted by your family. Little Maxxie .. Hi Renee! I’m not sure how it works with Amazon product links, but some of the RUclipsrs I subscribe to have Amazon links that will open in the Canadian site because that’s where I’m located. Assuming it works the same way for other countries too, based on the viewer’s location. It’s really convenient, compared to trying to find the same product on the Canadian site through search. I noticed your channel doesn’t offer this feature, so thought I’d check in about it. Thanks for all the great info in this video! 😊🇨🇦

Great job (as always). You're so good at organizing your thoughts and explaining things concisely. That's what I love about your videos. It's like you follow a script. I know you're not following a script, but it's like you're a news reporter. Example -like when you did your Puerto Vallarta videos showing all the things and where to eat. You were right up there with Rick Steve's Europe videos. And he DOES write scripts and memorizes them (he did a show on that once). It's funny though to hear you say people would leave your video because of where you placed your intro music way back when. I loved that intro. But I get it. Some people don't have the patience. You're a lovely, cheerful, upbeat gal that adds some entertainment to my day. Thank you for all you do.
What determines the length of videos? My preference is shorter videos say 8-12 minutes but most are about 5-10 minutes to long imo. I try to watch all the way through because I know it helps the channel.
Nice to hear the details of how this works. Have you come to a point where your YT work has become enough to replace a salary? Curious if this has become a money maker for you or a side hustle. Of course, it's your business if you want to answer. Love your content. Found you when I started to grow my gray out about 4 years ago.

Very interesting video Renee! I appreciate the time you invest in putting together a video and all of the product suggestions as I have purchased several of your recommendations! I wonder if you have ever considered shortening your videos as I find that I don’t have a ton of time to devote to watching youtube and I am subscribed to way too many channels. I think this might be helpful especially for cooking channels. I’m thinking people’s attention spans are very short these days! 😳🤣
Hi! That's for the comment. I honestly allow the video lengths to be what they are intended to be...if that makes sense. Some videos are short...others are longer. For example, my video coming out next Tuesday is 9 minutes long. Sometimes there's just a lot of info and things that need to be included. You can always "skip ahead" in the video to see the parts that interest you without leaving the video entirely. But thank you for watching any portion!

@@rosep9866 there is a gray button under the video that says "JOIN." When you do that you are getting extra perks from Renee's channel, not from YT, but it is a way for content creators to have a "guaranteed income" not connected to advertising etc.

Great job (as always). You're so good at organizing your thoughts and explaining things concisely. That's what I love about your videos. It's like you follow a script. I know you're not following a script, but it's like you're a news reporter. Example -like when you did your Puerto Vallarta videos showing all the things and where to eat. You were right up there with Rick Steve's Europe videos. And he DOES write scripts and memorizes them (he did a show on that once). It's funny though to hear you say people would leave your video because of where you placed your intro music way back when. I loved that intro. But I get it. Some people don't have the patience. You're a lovely, cheerful, upbeat gal that adds some entertainment to my day. Thank you for all you do.

What determines the length of videos? My preference is shorter videos say 8-12 minutes but most are about 5-10 minutes to long imo. I try to watch all the way through because I know it helps the channel.
The description has limited info if they watch on tv that is why everyone asks but it is there on a phone or a computer

Very interesting video Renee! I appreciate the time you invest in putting together a video and all of the product suggestions as I have purchased several of your recommendations! I wonder if you have ever considered shortening your videos as I find that I don’t have a ton of time to devote to watching youtube and I am subscribed to way too many channels. I think this might be helpful especially for cooking channels. I’m thinking people’s attention spans are very short these days! 😳🤣
Hi! That's for the comment. I honestly allow the video lengths to be what they are intended to be...if that makes sense. Some videos are short...others are longer. For example, my video coming out next Tuesday is 9 minutes long. Sometimes there's just a lot of info and things that need to be included. You can always "skip ahead" in the video to see the parts that interest you without leaving the video entirely. But thank you for watching any portion!

Never knew the full significance of my actions (ie watching an entire video vs dropping off early, hitting the “Like” button etc) and what those translated to for you content creators.
