VW Beetle Alternator/Generator Fan Assembly

How to assembly a VW Beetle Alternator/Generator Fan. I also go into the install of the doghouse to the engine. This is a late model fan on a 1963 Type 1 engine.

I have installed the shroud without the fan holder. Now im realizing the fan will not fit in as the oil filler/generator stand won't clear the fan into the shroud 🤦🏻‍♂️🤯😡🥵 Now i have to install the entire fan component into the shroud and then lower it down to have it sit onto the gen-stand. Ayayayayeeee!!!!

Nice powder paint! Now how come ur fan shroud did not have a thermostat arm that goes down and i heard its a pain to jiggle it down thru the cylinder openings…

What torque do you use on that back nut?

43 FT Lbs for the big nut mounting the fan.
