I like this very much, especially the weak sun coming through the distant trees.

Oh! Wow. Just what I need to help me with a painting of Howgill Fells in N Yorkshire. One tree in the foreground has been giving me major headaches. I really need to work on the rigger. Super instruction.

    Another lovely winter scene
Wendy. I like the way the ice is
Done, makes the picture look very cold.
Thank you. Will have a try myself.

    Beautiful.
You are a joy to watch and listen-to.
What are you painting on here? It looks like some kind of watercolour board - or is it just paper?

Hello Wendy. I tried this picture yesterday
And was quite pleased with it, but I found when I
Held it up the ice looked like it was standing up on the
Pond. Help, what have I done wrong. My watercolour paper
Was 14cmx21cm. Perhaps in was too long?
    Would appreciate your help.thanks.

Is that landscape or portrait....mine was portrait and I think it is important to keep the same proportions as something you are working from. Did you bring the ice down on the rhs? This should give perspective. Possibly the tone of the water is too dark ?....Did you put the horizontal lines through the ice at the top and down the side? Hope this helps 😀
