I think your tutorial was great!! It amazes me how many people complain in some of the comments. You did a great job in explaining everything, even how to finish it. If people don't like it they can check out someone else's video! No need to be rude or complain when someone is nice enough to take the time to teach complete strangers. Sooo THANK YOU!! Can't wait to try it. You actually made it easy to understand.

Thank you for this! I was bored with a hangover while the girlfriend is out of town. I made this as a surprise for her which she will never expect! I'm not a crafty guy in this sense and you made it very simple :)

I have watched a few of people showing how to make this scarf, BUT you were the first one to really showed first timers how to start the scarf. Thank You for taking it slow on making this scarf. Mary

I saw an 'infinity scarf' tutorial and I have never knit, sewn, or done anything like this. But I saw the first tutorial and thought I could do this. So I tried, and tried and tried, but I couldn't get it to work out. Then I clicked on this tutorial and you explained everything simply and easily step by step. And guess what.
    I made one!
It's not perfect, but it looks good and I'm very pleased by the result.
    I'm a 50 year old man and I just made a scarf.

I made one today. I love your tutorial! I was able to make it while my baby napped. I made mine a little loose, so for my next one I'm going to do tighter stitch, I know what I'm making for everyone this Christmas.

I just want to thank you for this tutorial! I used your video 4 years ago to make tons of scarves! My old scarves started looking rough so I wanted to make some more to refresh my scarf collection. I was looking all through Pinterest and none of the other tutorials were as helpful but I finally found your video again and it’s been so helpful in teaching me how to hand knit TWICE now! Thank you!

I want to try this, I think your video is great for beginners and i like that you went slow for us. I'm mean those other ppl can just speed up the video if they want to move on i dont understand why they are complaining about being lost after 5min into ur video, and if they are too lazy to Google a certain knot or basic terminology, seriously people. This video is great

My niece, my two sisters and my best friend LOVE their scarves I gave them this Christmas. I then made a couple for another friend of mine that I just dropped off about 9:30 this past Saturday night. Her husband told me she loved them so much, she actually wore one around the house for the rest of the night. :-) LOVE THIS! I will be teaching my niece do to this when she moves back from Boston. She watched the video, tried three times and said, "I'm DONE! Uncle Lonnie will teach me." (Unfortunately I had the flu at that time and could not teach her). THESE ARE FANTASTIC! THANK YOU!!!

I found this video on Pinterest and it was really helpful. I have never knit on my life, let alone arm knit, and I was able to learn from this video. it took me a few tries and mistakes. I paused and rewatched a few parts. thank you for this tutorial, it helped me make Christmas gifts for family this year :)

+Anissa Mahmood you cast on a row onto the needle almost the exact same way, then transfer the row over to the other needle the same way she did from arm to arm, then just continue!

Jazzala, you can slide the loops off your arm on to something of similar size like a hairspray bottle and then back on to your arm when you're ready to pick it back up again. Just be careful, you don't want to waste all of your hard work and it unravel. It's best just to go ahead and finish it.

Fabulous teacher! I like that you show it from different angles, and undo and redo, to make sure that viewers are "getting it" before moving on. I believe my elementary students could learn to do this by watching you! Thanks for taking the time to make this video! I am actually going to attempt this! :)

  • @AudraKurtzTheKurtzCorner
    @AudraKurtzTheKurtzCorner  11 лет назад +13

C Stef I can't reply on your comment for some reason...The tail should go around your thumb while casting on. After you have cast on you shouldn't be doing anything with the tail, just your working yarn and stitches will be used going forward from casting on.

I saw this a really long time ago and just got around to doing it. I'm so glad I did though. It took me about five minutes to get the hang of it and then it was just twenty minutes of watching Dexter without having to concentrate too hard on the scarf because it was so easy (if you think this is too hard, don't., because it's super easy).
I cast on 8 stitches because 12 was too wide and used two different colors (a black and a metallic grey) instead of one, and it turned out great. Thanks for the video, it was so greatly explained and simple to do!

How do you bind the ends together to make it an actual infinity scarf? Could you maybe do a tutorial on how to do that? I thought you were going to show us how to fuly complete the scarf at the end but you never got there...

Regina George I had some bulky yarn but not as bulky as hers. Four odd lot balls, 2 black, 1 charcoal, 1 grey. I rolled 2 balls: 1 of the 2 black, and 1 of the greys. Very airy, loopy because in my climate is not THAT cold. Is more of a decorative look.

That was an amazing video to make scarf.I have never seen that before that you can knit scraf by arm.You had really obvious instrustions,in fact it made knitting scraf by arm ten times easier.I was able to follow your instrustions.I like the colour of scraf which you have selected.Thank you so much for taking your time to make kniťting easier for others.I am so excited to make scarf by arm. Can't wait to start the project.Wish you great time.

Thank you...I watched several videos and yours was the best for showing each step slowly.....and THANKS for the over the shoulder view that was the best!!

Oh my god, thank you sooooo much, this video is awesome. I had NEVER experienced arm knitting before and I just finished my first scarf (in 3 hours, but still xD). I like that you show each step from different angles, and that you explain them several times, so we don't always have to pause the video everytime and go back again and again to the same step. Very easy once you get used to the technique, I'm sure I'll be able to do it much faster next time. I can't wait to start my next scarf! :)

Thank you so much for this video!! The explanations were simple and straightforward, I picked it up very quickly and made a great scarf in about an hour and a half! Can't wait to make more, thank you!

Thanks for showing it from both perspectives! At first I was looping it incorrectly but once I saw it from your perspective it all went much faster. Now I know what to make for some Christmas gifts. Thanks!

Audra thank you so much for posting this. You took your time and were so detailed. I have never ever even touched yarn before in making crafts but I watched your video.. Pause..Play. Repeat until I got it down and after my first scarf it was so easy I didn't need to look back I had remembered how to do it! I've made at least 10 so far and saving for Christmas gifts its so addicting! Thank you so much :)

Thank you for explaining everything slowly and going over it a few times. You are very patient and this is very helpful especially since I have never done anything like this before. Once again thank you and great work! =)

Awesome. You make it so easy to learn, nice and slow. I watched your vid the same afternoon I made my first hand knit, except I used my thumbs only as a finger knit instead of my arms, as I wanted a smaller knit.
    Thank you.

Thank you so much for this tutorial! I had to watch it a few times, but after that it seemed to flow quite easily. My scarf turned out wonderful, I get so many compliments asking me where I got it. Just picked up tons more yarn, excited to get started on some X-mas gifts. Thanks again!

Thanks for this. It is so clear! I am really handy, so I don't know why I never get knitting and crocheting tutorials when I am so interested. (My mother tried teaching me crocheting as a kid and gave up, so maybe it's trauma related hahah) This must be the first instruction I have ever understood in the area. You are really an excellent teacher. xx
