Van Build: Ticking off MAJOR milestones! | Mercedes Sprinter Conversion

- We’ve been busy! Somehow, we seem to be making pretty swift progress with the van build over recent weeks and in this video we’ve got loads to show you. We finish off the kitchen, installing the worktop with a little help from a friend, cut the mattress to shape, install the water sensors and put up our overhead storage cupboards. It’s a big one!

Hi Sophie and Andy! All the way from Brooklyn NY🗽 … fell into your channel because I’ve got the Sprinter Van builds bug. First off I have to say you guys are the epitome of relationship goals 😆, working together on a mountain of a project. Remember it’s never about the destination but the journey, Andy’s battle with the first cabinet and temporary time out was 😆 funny 😂. Should’ve edited to include Sam wise telling Frodo why they should continue 😂. I must say I’m impressed by Andy’s electrical work and problem solving. Sophie you’re incredible teammate and support, your words of encouragement are so wholesome. Guys keep it up!

Hia we find France and Spain fantastic much better and the UK in every way , if its your first time driving abroad just remember keep yourself next to the edge of the road not in the middle like u would be in the UK , roundabouts think right and when you come off hug the edge, after 15 minutes it will come naturally.. we own a caravan site in East yorkshire we developed it from nothing over the last 14 years and decided to enjoy ourselves like people do on our site so we now have the Campervan and it's great , we are going down to the NEC this Thursday to have a look see what's on offer pub stop the night before . What a fantastic life . We will be going back through the chanel tunnel to France then down to benidorm hopefully in December for a warmer Christmas and New year 🎉 , hope to see you both on the road sometime.

Good to see your progress and I always feel for you guys when things don't quite go to plan. But you're learning so much and I can't wait to see you finally off on your adventures in Ray.
If I could offer one tip, which you may have done so apologies if you have. Great foresight to run the spare conduit. I'm guessing it's large enough for another couple of small cables? But did you remember to attach another pullthrough wire as you pulled the cable through? If not, then the next time you need to get a new cable through you haven't got anything in there except the live cable you've just pulled through - hope that makes sense 🤔

❤ doing good fokes . We have just got our campervan back after the big ends went bang 14 weeks ago , just got 3000 miles to do to run it in then back to Spain. Its great building your own van and not really knowing what your doing , all part of the fun , the satisfaction you will get travelling Europe in a van you have done yourself beats any package holiday . Xxx

Bad idea underslung sink with wooden worktops. I used to be kitchen fitter. The edge looks grubby after short while. And it certainlyooks grubby already with way you've cut it. You can't leave it like that. Use the same cut out & fix over instead of under. It will look far nicer. I been a tradesman for over 50 yrs. I like Mel. But he doesn't always get it right. He has many good ideas though. He did some bed slats for Becky while ago & kneeled on them & they broke. Which I knew they would do. Best to get the ikea ones & cut to size if needed
But definitely sink over not under or you'll regret it

That is very good advice, we definitely have been getting to the point of just wanting to finish it so maybe rushing a couple of bits, but we need to not do that! We’ve come this far, a few more weeks won’t hurt! Thanks for watching and sticking to the end 😊🚚

Although this video is supposed to be in 4K, as it says in the icon, it's only showing up in 1080p as the highest quality option!
Not quite sure what’s happening there. It does allow me to switch to 4k on my tv, but on mobile it is only 1080p too. Hmm - def exported as 4k.

Doing really well you 4 , meeouw meeouw , my 3 cats are fascinated by your 2 cats , Kirby went round the back of the TV looking for your 2 , . The wall cabinets look really good , maybe some rope in the gaps to disguise them , and around the skylight frame , I did that to hide gaps in my van build , and to hide my wonky cuts , 🚐
Exactly our thoughts John, the gaps are a bit annoying so we think rope or some plastic plant foliage. Say hi to your cats for us! ❤️❤️
