- That man, Tim Langer, is now speaking out on his act of heroism and details what happened when he protected a man's daughter and her friends when gunfire erupted.

Just because he's homeless doesn't mean he doesn't have the ability to care for others. It's generally the ones with the very least who end up being the ones who give the most. May his personal needs be met well above his current situation. He deserves respect and the same kindness and compassion and care awarded to him for his actions. 🙏 💜
I work with the homeless & this is true. Thats why some of them deserve more. Some truly have a mental disability that people cant see so they call it lazy

That’s exactly what I am saying, he shouldn’t be on the street right now, there’s got to be motel/hotel room somebody could’ve got him or a place to stay…AND, a go fund me! I can’t believe that wasn’t an automatic thing. During the news would’ve been a perfect time to mention the go fund me….he would’ve had a house by now!

When I was homeless I ended up in a shelter after living in a tent in the woods for a year. The other homeless people I was there with would share every last bit of what they had with you. These people that had the least shared more with me than other more well off person ever did. Im not saying this to lift up anyone or disparage anyone. It was just the experience I had.
Thank God for this guy, I can only imagine the horror there.

SAME. I used to be homeless.. years and I met a lot of really great people.. believe it or not most of them are just ordinary good people that just have been dealt a really bad hand.

What most people don't know is that some (not all) homeless people have HUGE kid hearts, and that is how they ended up homeless: by putting others needs before their own.
People talk about our homeless citizens as if they are evil or scum, but some of them are truly gentle kindhearted people who've been SEVERELY traumatized by psychopaths, sociopaths, WAR, or domestic violence.
What an absolute hero to have done that. Glad they were able to interview him.

this man must be a homeless veteran to put himself in the line of fire like that. the tattoos, the watch, just a sleeping bag, the mininal accessories, that tired haunted stare, the heroism to take action after being aroused from sleep to gunfire and help someone when a war is going on just around the corner and to stand ready to die for that person so they can live.

My last tour there ended in '07 and I served with a Guard Unit from Commiefornia that had a $hit ton under 25. So no. He's not to young to have seen Combat. If he is in fact a Vet. I had a rough patch when I went to work by day and slept in my car by night. I will never forget that a few times when I was hungry, it the homeless who fed me. So now I always try to keep food and water in my vehicle to pay it forward when I see someone in need.

Give that man a year in a hotel to give him a shot. Glad 1 of the very few took the opportunity to shine. Still gotta clean camps off the streets. Need rehabilitation programs for the willing and those who aren’t can move on. Luckily the amount of people who disagree this idea have the option to open up their homes to the homeless. The cities in California have rapid rehousing funds for individuals for 18 months free rent. They give the money to case managers at the shelters. The casemanagers are responsible for placing them. But the casemanagers sit on the money. I worked in a shelter and they place maybe one person a month. It's disgusting. The level of control incompetent shelter staff have over the homeless is gross.

What an incredible selfless act,I hope this will bring blessings for him ,my older brother ( now deceased a Vietnam war vet ) was homeless for three years my younger brother searched for him but we never found him,he finally found us only to die from lung cancer a few years later complicated by Agent Orange a substance used in the warfare in the Vietnam Conflict.
