    Teoh, do you have plans to release your own sketch book? I would buy it. I admire your art.

      +Winnona Carter I don't think so. It's very tedious to publish a book. The marketing and selling of the book is even more tedious. That's what I've learned from friends who have published books. 😂

      Teoh, what about publishing your work as a zine?

      @@teohyc Would that include self publishing. Your subscribers would buy your book. I hope in time you will reconsider or come up with an alternative option.

    Thank you, Teoh! Your review prompted me to pick up Mike's book, and I found it very useful as well as charming & beautifully executed. Always great to get a new perspective, and I hope this book will help provoke my daughters to stop watching their Daddy draw and instead to draw BETTER than me

      Teach them to journal in a sketchbook and make them read their own journal in the future. That will be fun.

    I returned this book the day after I bought it.
    Not step by step examples.
    But Color first, ink later is great.
    I consider it an evolution of the first one.

    I really like the bullet form tips that MikeD used to make his awesome Book. You pronounced Juan ( wuan ) correctly the first time! You have much better English than I do my friend! I live in a city where we have the Largest inner city park in the world! It it so completely different, from season to season. That I really enjoy going there just to sit, and to look out, on to the vast tehran. There is on spot that if you where to stand on the north side looking south, and then again on the south side looking north. It's is so different that one would never guess, they are connected by a bridge. Our hole city is separated by water. Everything south of 95ave, is like a different world. It just feels different because of the University and all the cute shops, and housing. We are not allow to build higher than 3 floors, which gives the massive trees all he room they need to grow!
    Hey you know what!? I just had this great idea!
    It would be fun to be apart of a Sketching forum. Where we all take turns submitting photos, of different places of our cities. Then we can all submit our works. And everybody can submit different places from around the world. That way we can still be able to " travel ". With out spending lots of money that it takes to go places.
    And maybe once a year, we can all get together and have 2-3 days as a sketch conference. Where we all take turns displaying our works, and talking about them from the last year or so. And mostly walking around and sketching, yeah! We can all vote on different places, to go, and if there are other places that are close by, thane we can go there?
    I think that sounds like so much fun!
    I have a great idea, for the name of our Forum. It should be called " sketchers anonymous ". We could all sketch our selfs, and then choose a funny name to go by.
    Maybe we can do 2-3 uploads a week? And anyone can do an up load different things that they like, such as;
    "I just got these awesome watercolour brushes by LANIAKEA! 6 Pieces water Brush Pen sets, from 01- 10 , 01 is a fine point synthetic brush, with shorter bristles. It doesn't have much flex, great for fine detail, and line work. The pen lid has a screw on top, with a pen clip to attach on to a page or some thing. The water vessel holds about 3/4ths of 1 fluid ounce. Wright below the top of the vessel, is a " push symbol" that is embossed, and wording is slightly raised as well, and it makes you want to press it down. The threads on the bristles cartridge, is fine. Which insurers a tight lock, and no water seepage. I believed I payed around $13.00 on Amazon. The range of brushes from loose and floppy to tight and pointed and slightly fanned out. I think this is a great purchase and I am really happy with the quality for what I payed! Good job, LANIAKEA!
    Something like that. And maybe under our profile we could do a funny travel storey? And submit a sketch or two about that memory.
    Like; " remember going into this cute/posh art store in London, and bought a set of Winston watercolour pencil crayons, and I rubber cement eraser. I walked out of the store, and herd all this screaming. And right around the corner was the " Premier of the second last Harry Potter!" So I hung around, and snapped a few pictures, and wondered back to the tube, and returned to my Hostel. Wright down the street from Paddington Station.
    I'm not sure if your apart of any such thing? But I think it would be great if you would want to be apart of something like that? I know that I have thought of different ways to be apart of a community, that really loves to draw like I do. So what do you think Teoh Yi Chie? Let me know?

    • @teohyc
      @teohyc  7 лет назад

      You idea sounds fun but it's a lot of work to stick to a schedule. Most people just want to sketch for fun, for leisure. I know because sometimes I find it to be quite tiring to post sketches online too. lol. But you can do it on your own, on your own blog and inspire others.

      I though about the time thing too? Maybe if it where a once a month thing, in the beginning to see how many people would like to be apart? What do you think ? If there was no pressure to create or post. Maybe that would be more intriguing and fun, with out any type of commitment? That already sounds way cooler.

    While I've not read the book, I've skimmed through it. I haven't used a Fude pen. When I look to buy one, the nibs come in several angles. What angle nib is "normal/standard"?

    • @teohyc
      @teohyc  3 года назад +1

      Normal and standard sounds as the name. Be sure to look at product photos to make sure you are getting a bent nib. The angle is usually fixed

    • @maryhazlett
      @maryhazlett 3 года назад

      @@teohyc I see things listed as 40% or 55%, something like that, on Amazon. I'm very familiar with fountain pens, but not fude. So that's why I'm wondering about the % of "bent" to get. Don't know what a "normal" bend angle is.

    • @teohontech7141
      @teohontech7141 3 года назад +1

      @@maryhazlett 40 and 55 degrees I believe are from the Sailor fountain pens. I don't usually see other pens list the angles. Anyway, 40 degrees which has less bend is easier to use.
