YOU HAD ME AT THE FIRST SENTENCE! I’m an older man with 3 daughters. I’m slowly learning how to do all the hard work on hair care that my amazing wife did before she passed from COVID last year. Do I have $450 for 3 girls to get styled by a professional braider? No. No I do not. Not even gonna lie. Am I smart enough to learn from all the amazing Black women on RUclips? Yes. Yes I am.
You are a true hero for taking your valuable time to help beginners like me. I appreciate this so much. You don’t even know how helpful this was. Passion twist won’t meet the longevity needs for my young daughters, even though they are crazy for this new trend. You really helped me make an informed decision to stick with what I’m capable of doing: box braids, regular twists, and lemonade braids. I’m just gonna blame you next time they start bringing up passion. Lol
I feel so proud and scared at the same time 😂🤣🤣
@Soyica Greaves-Blakney love this!
I am so sorry for loss.... 🥺🥺🥺I can’t imagine how much your life has changed! I hope that you have all of the support that you need! ❤️
Sir...can you do mine next?
Wow! Power to you. God bless you and your daughters. I’m happy they have such a thoughtful dad in their lives to even consider trying to maintain their hair. It takes a lot let me tell you.
I do all hair myself. It’s just too expensive
I’m doing most things except the hair unless I do anything without braids otherwise I do my nails lashes all that
Yes i do the same, save my money my money my damn money💰 i been doing my since i was 14 i am 38 now . and over the years i am much better then most hairdressers..... I love her hair and she is so beautiful
Yes same!! With a lot of patience, youtube tutorials and the right technique, you’ll defently be saving soooo much money!
Since da rona came to town I’ve been doing my own hair. I don’t think I’ll ever sit in a stylist chair again. I’m saving sooo much money...
Yes
I don’t know if someone told you this before but you sound just like Rihanna
Neverrrrr 😱 I’ll take that as a compliment lol 😆
Abby Jahaira definitely a compliment 😭💕
Literally what I thought when she started talking
@@laonentebela2901 SAME!
Righttt lol
I’ve had mine in for 2 months- the longer they’re in, the better they look. I’ve gotten more compliments on them, as they’ve aged. Took 6 hours to finish. Used Freestress water wave- 7 bags
Freetress is so good!
I thought I was the only one who took hours 😭 so many youtubers tell you it takes less than hour, such a lie
MayaNotMya _ Right!
Girl mine about 4-5 hrs
Wow thats exactly the information, i was searching for, Thank you so much gurl ❤
me: *watching this right after I just did passion twists* 😂
same, i just hopped out the chair
Literally did mine yesterday... wish I saw this video first
I just got mine today
Exactly 😭
Christel Janet She’s not fully correct, so don’t panic. I have had it before and it lasted abut 4 week. I have natural hair, but I used Tahiti hair by Freetress!
She said the lipstick is by cover girl it's called Hustle
Read it on one of her replies
Thank you. Cause girl. I need it
Jesus is coming soon! God bless everyone! I love you all🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
God Bless!
amen :)

Yes, He is and God bless you too ♥️
Thank you God bless you too🙏🏽❤️
I did my own twists & they lasted for 2 months & until the day I took them out, I was still getting compliments on my hair. Technique plays a part & also what condition your hair is in before installation. Don’t twist your hair if it is not clean, conditioned & moisturized well. Do not install on dry hair because if you do be prepared for a lot of tangles, shedding & hair loss when you take them out. This hair style is so easy to do on your own in 1 day. Ain’t no way I’d pay anybody to do my twists when I can save some coin, watch a few tutorials & do them myself. Ain’t nobody got time for that! 😂
Thanks for this!!!!
Thanks for the tips! I’m going to try this style this weekend.
What method did you use to install
Dry? You mean you install with your hair still wet?
what products did you use before installing for moisturizer? I use Aussie
I need that lipstick, it looks so good on you.
Talisa Nowlin i don’t know why certain women don’t wanna help other women when they ask where u buy clothes or makeup, it’s so selfish🙄
I mean, let's give her the benefit of the doubt. I buy most of my makeup on a whim, half of it being gifts or samples, and can't remember where I got items most of the time.
Covergirl pout x hustle
Literally the only reason I clicked on this video...I guess she’s one of those RUclipsr who don’t like to give companies ‘free promotion’
It looks like Revolution Beauty Hydra Gloss in the color Awaken. It’s probably not it but It looks just like it.
✨Reasons✨
Cons:
1. Don’t pay for it because it doesn’t take long to do & last long
2. Cost of hair piece/bundles can be expensive
3. Not as protective as other protective styles like e.g. box braids
PROS:
1. Cute style / Light Weight
2. REALLY good for a temporary style
At the end of the day it’s all about preference 💕
Thanks for the recap ❤️❤️❤️
THANK YOU!
The cons definitely vary by person, because my twists lasts for 2 months, AND I'm still able to wash my hair with them still on to refresh them. They do take me about 5 hours to install them, but it is still worth it. I think it depends on your hair how cute they look, and how long they will stay in. Since my curl pattern matches the twist hair, it looks better.
I’ve been binge watching passion twist videos for hours because I’m going to attempt to do the rubber band crochet method tomorrow and even though I only leave my protective styles in for like a week, I’m happy I came across your video about the cons of passion twists because now I know to just do it myself and get some practice with it.
Regardless of what each individual does, it’s always helpful knowing the pros and cons to protective hairstyles because if my plan was to leave it in longer and pay someone to do it, I know I would’ve been upset it didn’t last long 😂😂 I loved your video! Thank you.
Thank you so much for watching! I agree, to each his own. I’m glad I could help! ❤️
I’ve gotten to the point I don’t even be caring when my hair pops out lol, I’m tryna get my hair to grow so these folks gon get what come out of my bonnet! I kept my twists in for 3 months last time and the growth was premium!
How did you stretch it to 3 months ??
@@signednichole115 I start my twists by braiding at least 3x! I also slept with a satin pillowcase and I would braid it in two every night. My hair didn't start popping out until 2nd month and I would just get some gel or blue magic and twist it back into the original twist lol. It had that boho look she was talking about, but folks thought it was cute
@@signednichole115 beautycanbraid is a stylist on yt. She stated that ou can wear crochet for up to three months. Of course they have to be maintained.
yesss 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Same here sis❤💪
They can last a lot longer if you cornrow your hair and crochet the passion twists in. This style lasted me about 2 months with retouching the front with rubber bands, washing and taking care of my scalp.
I just learned to do passion twists and I've done it twice. It lasts me about a month and a half if. I just redo the twists around the edges when they look rough.
Facts! I did them and it took me 6hrs. I had to do maintenance every week on about 5-6 braids. I'm doing it again on Tuesday.
I hope you’re going into a career as a Rihanna voice impressionist because you sound like her
😂😂😂 everyone keeps saying that lol
YES
Exactly
now i can’t un hear it lol 😂
Totally agree as far as cost and learning how to do them instead of paying someone. I paid a stylist $150 before and never again, thanks to RUclips.
Same! After i did first I said I'm a diy person. What am I doing paying so much for this! Never again. Thanks to youtube and God for talent!

I love doing passion twist and I agree with some of the cons but I will say that they can last long but it depends on your technique I have made these last for 2-3 months and I have 4c hair. I did that by parting and twisting my own hair as the base and then crocheting the curly hair and wrapping one part of the curly hair around both my hair and the other piece of curly hair. As if I am doing the locs after I get to the point where my hair is covered I began twisting it into passion twist. This covers all your hair while still achieving the look and if you want at the front instead of wrapping it to start off you can braid then twist. Wrapping at the base was the most successful method in achieving longevity! Love this style it is my favorite
Idart Chicas thank you for this!!!!
Thank you for this!!!
Omg I think im gonna try this on my hair I have 4c hair and I’m having a hard time keeping my hair twisted in with the hair. This is a really smart technique ❤️
agree...i can def keep mine in for 4-6 weeks with the method you stated...i think the texture and length of your hair determine how long it lasts. if you have longer curly hair (any texture) it will last longer than someone with straighter hair or damaged ends...or short hair...in either instance the longer you have the style the more your real hair will poke out the twist.
I just screen shotted this method. Thanks girl!
perfect timing for this vid! i was considering these for a new spring style
I've had multiple hairstylists tell me that this is not worth paying for and don't even offer the service because it doesn't last long and clients will call and complain thinking it's the stylist when its just the style. I guess I am going to have to learn how to do this hairstyle! Enjoyed the video and thanks for the tips
Thanks for watching! I dont provide this service to my clients either :/
We need the name of your lipstick sis,
Please
@@rebekkanghishekwa4809 fr we need to know
Me too
Seriously lol it's beautiful
It’s by cover girl called hustle
Definitely depends on the kind of hair you use! Try a few different packs to find the right texture match for you! Just needs to be curly or have curly ends
did you try it and if so what hair/brand did you use
I totally agree with this message! Installed mine myself about 3 weeks ago and they are already trash. My real hair is NOT a good look with this silky synthetic hair anymore and the hair just feels frizzy. I may push for another week, but I'm used to getting around 6-8 weeks with individual braids/twists. I would not pay anyone else a dime to put these in my hair. The pricing is definitely popularity based
I would never do these again.😭
Try the Afro Spring Twist, it’s way bettet
GOD bless you all. GOD loves you all. Have a blessed day everyone. .

@@chars1239 REPENT TO NIKKI MINAJ 11:30 BEFORE ITS TOO LATE
I do my own passion twists and they last me up to 4 months. I wash my hair at least once a month and do my own touch ups especially on the perimeter. I use Outre Spring Twist hair (for the hold) + Regular Spring Twist Hair off Amazon (for the look). It only costs me less than $40 for all the hair since I do it myself. This has been my favorite protective style for 2+ years! I guess it depends on the technique and if you do your own/can maintain it alone or not.
Woooow! that's super cheap. Such a blessing to be able to do your own hair right?
I usually can maintain my twist for 2-3 months , i want to do these as all the styles i been doing lately have been long heavy hard to wash my hair in and its giving the look but i don't like the extra with it. Im going back to short twist and im feeling these. Ill probably go long once this year.
I think it depends on the length and size. My passion twists are small, and took about 8 hours. Granted that is including breaks. Because your passion twists are bigger I'm sure they probably won't last as long, they are very nice though!
Thanks for sharing!
I agree, my passion twist last longer than 2weeks
Getting hair done in the US is so expensive! In Ireland, these would cost €20-€30! ($25-$35) Even braids would only cost max €70 ($80) for waist length!
my stylist on charges 80 or less for all my styles but i guess it’s because i’m a child
My sister also lives in Ireland. I told her to order hair on AliExpress b/c she told me that they’re very expensive in her country lol
I didn't know black people were in Ireland. Want to visit there so bad but was afraid of how I would be treated. Does she like it there?
@@commcarts there's a lot of black people in ireland but it depends on where you go lol. The capital, Dublin is very diverse if that's where you want to visit. As you move towards the countryside it's much less diverse, but racism here is different to America and as a tourist, the most you'd probably get are microagressions 🤷🏾♀️
@@elya_rose yeah that's true, hair shops are expensive, my mum buys hair in bulk when she goes back to Nigeria every few years 🤣
I completely agree. I installed the braids myself and i ensured to tightly grip the roots and the braids still started slipping early and my roots got so puffy and messy under 2 weeks. I had to redo the front cause i couldn't believe how messy the hair looked at the root. Also my hair pokes out and comes out of the hair so easily. It doesn't have the grip. The style is cute but i doubt I'll do it again.
It is super cute. I just don’t think it lasts as long as I would want it to. For some people it lasts months (based on the comments I’ve seen) , but it just does not hold up for me. I’m thinking of doing them in a crochet style.
Definitely had the same issues hun esp with the root. I redid the style in a shorter version and mixed the waterwave with the yaman afro kinky and it mixed better with my hair. Would do it crotchet next time too #team4chair
My aunt and cousins are hair stylists which I am so so grateful for. Had this hair in for 2 months now
I’ve had mine for 2 weeks and when I go in and oil my scalp i use to edge control to tidy up the twists, not by retwisting but just coiling, but I prefer it slightly messy
Im a braider and she's speaking facts!. Great video!👍🏼
Thank you!!
I personally order my hair off of amazon they usually give u 6 to 7 packs for 25-30 dollars
Can u post the link.
do you remember the name?
I braid my own hair I used to pay for braids when I was younger but I eventually taught myself after the braiders cost was out of control and they took way too long sometimes I’d have to get it done from 6- 10 hours I just bought 3 packs of hair washed and prepped it myself the cost is less than $10 the wooden beads cost another $4 that’s it.
You can buy your hair on amazon for a good amount. Got 7 packs for 46.99 also if you have more coily hair, it last longer. Also look at the techniques
I ordered 7 packs on Amazon for 49 dollars, 24 inches.
Also, makeup, frames, brows, hair... Bomb!
I did these for my cousin for the first time and she called me about a week and a half later to say her hair was popping out. I felt so bad but now i dont feel so bad because this is the norm for this style. Will attempt again but will try a different method
It took me some time to figure it out, but I love the style regardless.
This is still protective style even if some of the ends start unraveling and you see them through the twists. You're still not combing, blow drying, adding heat and messing with your hair. Just add some moisturizer to those exposed ends.
Me watching this after I just paid $180 for this style and almost $80 on my hair. None of these styles are really that protective for me because after awhile it starts to break my hair off. I can only keep these twists in and box braids in for 3 weeks tops, before it starts to build up on my hair and make my hair come out from the weight of the hair.
This is my absolute favorite style right now. I can't get enough of it and the fact that I can either do it myself or, have my braider do it is awesome. I don't mind touching up my hair every few weeks because it just lets me moisturize the way I like to and do some good conditioning while I'm at it. Awesome. Love love love!
I wish I could do it on my own.
@@RealAnita926 you can learn everyone else is there are millions of hair tutorials for: braids, sewin, twists, fashion, and makeup. Welcome to RUclips Hair Tutorial& Beauty University 😃. Am a student as well 😊
I don't enjoy doing my own hair. I remember hours and hours of braiding and feeling sad/depressed. I've got to learn how to crochet!
I’m the opposite. Braiding and twisting my hair relaxes me. I watch a good movie or binge watch a series. When I’m finished I feel happy and like a new woman
Mine last 2 1/2 months. The longer you have them the better they look.
i actually charge less for this style because of the cost of the hair and it doesnt last long
thats smart bc a lot of people can do this hairstyle by themselves
I’ve had my hair relaxed ever since I was a kid 😅. I’ve recently starting using protective styles to try and let my natural hair safely grow back. I’m graduating high school next week, and I wanted a style different from the regular box braids, and this is perfect for me. A couple weeks after graduation, I plan on going back to box braids for a vacation to Jamaica 🇯🇲💖
Thanks for sharing!! Love that!
I just did my own passion twists using the rubberband crochet method
How did you like it? I've heard the rubber bands cause damage. I just bought my hair for this style and now trying to figure what method I should do lol
okay rihanna. thank you for the tips😭.
LOLLLLL
I’m finna redo my hair...this would be the 2nd time I will be retwisting my hair and I’m DEFINITELY not doing this hairstyle again. Imma stick to my regular ole braids cuz I’m good at that😂
😂😂😂 youuuuu sound like me!
What method did you use?
I find that braiding first then twisting works best for me
It's the worst so far for me,never again.
@@amyasmith16 yes that’s what I did the 2nd time I did them again. I think it’s bc I didn’t braid enough down and started twisting early idk 🤷🏽♀️
I get the pre twisted passion twists from lulutress. I had mine in for a month. I used the individual illusion braid pattern. And my hair was beautiful
Oh wow! I have to look into that braid pattern. Thanks for sharing!
I just brought this brand today I hope it’s really good
To make the style last longer, I braid my hair first.
I part my hair and then do knotless small braids until it has reached the length of my hair. The braids don’t need to be perfect. You’re basically only adding 2-3 pieces of braiding hair to each plait. This ensures that all fly aways are tucked in.
I then use the crochet method to put in the hair and twist over the braid to hide it in place.
If the ends of your braids pop out you can just tuck it in and it won’t take long.
Also if you don’t want to have to thread your braiding hair and you just want to cut off the end when you’ve completed plait, just secure the braid hair with a rubber band at the bottom.
This method is good for relaxed or transitioning hair.
Great idea!
Got passion twist for my trip to Hawaii...big mistake not water proof!
this style is so easy to do that I think it's worth it, even though it is not durable and you can reuse the hair if you want to save money. All you need is a free day and about 2 hours. I've done box braids on myself and it took a long, LONG time cause my hair is extra thick. I'm never doing it by myself again! 😂
It’s sooooo much work those box braids 😂
I love your eye glasses who are they by?
These are from Warby Parker!
Which style? They’re super cute!!
I suggest getting the hair on Amazon I get 7-8 backs for 31 dollars. For making it last I suggest using mousse in ur hair every other day (even every day). Mines usually last 4 weeks before it starts to look crazy. I usually re do the front in problem spots and get good hair. The type of hair you get will affect how the hair stays down.
Thanks for sharing! ❤️
in the UK our hair stylist are so cheap, no more than £50 for box braids and stuff like that. idk why in america they charge over $100?? that’s a crazy amount
Where are you going in the UK?! I’ve only seen £90 minimum without the hair
@@tomisoetan9061 truss, it's getting ridiculous

Where is it £50 for box braids done well in the U.K.? I have never paid that
I braid mine at base first and then twist and when pieces stick out I'll crochet it back through the twists
Mannn the style doesn’t last LONG AT ALL !!!! mins looked good for about 4 days . The packages of the hair is usually $6-7 a pack in Texas
I love it tho !
Yesss I definitely agree! Thank you for sharing. I'm gonna look into the hair.
My twist lasted for 3 months I used a high quality hair
@@rachellecheri2827 what brand?
@@keysha7446 me personally I use a higher end brand as well, RUWA by Expressions. In TX its about $10-12 for a pack of 3. It takes about 3 packs depending on the thickness of the twist. I usually go 6-7 weeks on my passion twist and regular twist, more so because I have soft fine hair not because it looks bad. But my clients push it 2-2-1/2 months. Its all in the technique and knowing how to tuck with passion twist :) practice and patience :)
Same here!😭
See, I did my hair on Saturday, it's Thursday and it's looking like it's a month old.
Now I have to tell the hairstylist to redo it cause she didn't do it well
I'm so happy you made this. I was just about to pay but watching these tutorials im like i will try nd keep my coin threw this pandemic ijs good video
Me watching this when I got passion twist for the first time 💀
I have fine hair so will never put rubber bands to style my hair.
I love her lipstick
Thank you boo!
I avoid my hair sticking out of my twists by twisting my hair into individuals before I add extensions. I'll either crochet onto my roots of the twists,, use Rubberbands and crochet that way, or twist and tuck my natural twist into the crochet twist and twist that as you twist. Its easier to do with passion twist hair because its already curled so even if you unravel it and retwist your hair and tuck it in. And then once a week I just take my ends out to add some shea butter to my ends. Usually gets me about 8 weeks out of a style. The passion twists are my favorite only because my hair can hold onto this. For whatever reason anything else I've ever had slips out. Never fails. I be in the salon losing braids, twists half way out the door smh idk whats up with my hair
I’m going to try this! Sometimes my hair like to be defiant but maybe trying your method will work🤔
I do passion twists all the time I have them in my profile picture. I usually get the crochet hair that are pre-twisted. I cornrow the back of my hair and do about 2-3 rows of single braids in the front. It takes less time but it looks more natural. It usually last me about a month but I don't wrap my hair🤣🤣🤣🤣Not a bonnet or anything I hate it
Agree 100%. I was very disappointed. Paid $120 and it lasted 3 weeks..but started looking crappy on week 2. Best to do yourself
Oh no! I feel your pain though :/
From a hairstylist perspective, my time isn't cheap. You're paying for my time. I could be making plenty of money with the time I'm spending on you. I totally agree with you that this is not a long lasting hairstyle. Yours looks cute 😍
Thank you so much!
I was so happy with these passion twists BUT my hair started popping out after a week :(

It really amazes me how ridiculously costly it is to braid in the US. In my country you'll get braided for as low as 8 dollars.. to as high as 20 dollars... mostly inclusive of braids
Currency is different and cost of living. No one can survive only getting paid 8$ for hours of work in the US 🤣
I AGREE WITH U,,, I RATHER HAVE MICRO BRAIDS THAN DEAL WITH THIS,,,I DID IT MYSELF AND ITZ TOO EXPENSIVE,,,
Omgeeeee so glad u made this video!!! I was supposed to get these done tomorrow morning
Where did you get those glasses? 😍

I don't agree with you. I see people wearing this for months and it looks better as it ages. It does take about 3-6 hours to get done. I think it is easy to do it on your own though.
I was just on youtube looking up hairstyles for my sister who is going natural and i saw this and just had to comment on how beautiful you are wow
Thanks for the info...btw love the lipstick

From my own experience smaller size twists that are shoulder length last a whole lot longer and are much easier to maintain than the bigger size and longer twists...
Hi Jade. For a shoulder length style, do you cut the braid or do the braids come in short length?
@@I_Am_That_Libra Actually both.
I normally cut mine in half and I've also seen shorter length hair at the beauty supply stores.👍🏾
@@Iamwhoiam993 Okay 😎. Thanks.
Thank you so much for this video! Thank you thank you! You saved me 💰

Could you please share the lipstick brand and shade you're wearing?
Jeeez. You are beautiful!
Thank youuuuu
It’s definitely easier to learn to do it yourself
You have to put a conditioning gel on it so your hair will not start to stick out.
It's tedious depending on the technique and style. Some braiders take shortcuts. Don't ever trust a braider that can promise to cut the time significantly. Regardless, I wouldn't pay more than $20-30/hr for any style. I definitely wouldn't work anyone for less. More professional braiders are charging double, but make sure they're truly professional. You'll try to take your braids out and have dreads if they're not using the proper methods.
This can be a protective style if you know how to tuck your hair. My 1st set lasted 3 weeks (retwisted the same hair for the 3rd week) I let my hair rest for a week and did a shorter length for 2 weeks
Thank you for sharing this video, because I didn't know that it's not a lasting hairstyle.

I do my own hair in general and passion twists last me the same amount of time as when I do box braids, which I keep anywhere from 4-8 weeks. I did my own a couple times last summer for the first time ever and I had so many women complimenting me and asking me where I got them done. When I told them I did them myself they were then asking can I do theirs lol. It was crazy because I had never done them before but I’ve been braiding my own hair in box braids since I was about 16 and I’m 34 now.

YES MAAM. Hope you love themmm
thanks for this vid i am about to turn thirteen and i wanna try this style for my birthday ,
Okay so just some input that might be helpful also. I’m a cosmetologist and braider.
🌸
Okay I disagree with a few things. I always do my own braids and or twists. Twists take me still a long time and that service is tedious so 150 is more then reasonable for braids and protective styles cause it’s a lot of labor for us stylists. Idk why this generation expects hair services to be cheap. They’re not because a lot goes into it.(Don’t even get me started on color services and why we charge so much)
Now I do agree that passion twists takes less time then box braids or locs but it’s still several hours so.. remember we stylists have to pay bills too and most the time we can’t take more than one client a day if doing lengthy braid sessions. So no, anything under 100 isn’t worth it for a stylists UNLESS they’re exceptionally speedy. Some charge by the hour which might be a good route to go if you have a fast as hell braider. But remember the install type matter too. If you use the rubber band method it’s gonna be faster if you braid them in then twist it’s gonna take longer. If you cornrow it up that’s the fastest in my opinion. Just keep that In mind.
She’s totally correct tho when she says you can do them yourself, hence why pay for the service. I feel that. But if you don’t wanna do them yourself don’t ask a stylist for a discount cause it’s a ti. Of work.
These ARE easy to do your self but it’s tedious and a process and can get frustrating if your not used to it so go for it but be patient with yourself. Takes time to get all these styles down especially on your own head.
Also idk why she’s buying such expensive hair for her styles. Synthetic hair should almost NEVER cost more than like 50 bucks and that’s including 7 packs or plus (depending on the texture and brand of hair), jam, AND setting foam. I have NEVER spent more then 50 bucks on the products so idk why she said hundreds of dollars for just the hair. That should never be the case. Amazon sells pretty decent bundles for like 30-45 bucks. Local stores usually have similar pricing from my experience maybe a little more. Honestly guys I’ve done my hair like a million times and never once spent more then fifty on the products. So if you wanna attempt theses yourself there a real cheap way to change up your style.
Another thing. I agree with passion twists not lasting as long. However you can get a month out of them or more if you touch them up and take care of them and wrap them up at night. I’ve almost always wear my styles for 2 months. And if you braid these twists in your sections will last longer too.
Twists never last me quite AS long as box braids or locs cause your hair sorta comes out and I always do wildly different colors then my natural hair so when ends start poking out it’s much more obvious.
Just my input! Her twists look so good! I just was shook when she went over that hair pricing I just had to butt in cause I really never experienced that expensive of synthetic hair. I SUPPOSE if you were doing like micros maybe.. but see the smaller the section the less hair used so usually ya don’t use that much more hair. But that’s just in my personal experience 💕💕
I literally was just about to pay for this, bought the hair and everything and now I’m gonna return it and maybe revisit knotless braids
Yours look so beautiful 😍 Here in Europe (France/Belgium) it costs 40 to 60€ average !! (45 to 65 US $...) I dont know why getting afro hair braided costs so much overseas
Thank you! And yes! I wonder why it’s so expensive.
Thankfully I have a cousin that loves me charges me less than 50$ to put it in for meeee😁 and I get crochet so my hair is protected and braided down yours look amazing girl!
I agree! I initially was going to pay someone to do mines because im lazy but I decided to them myself and after I said im glad i didnt pay anyone because it was too easy and I have to retwist them often! Also I got my hair from amazon 7 packs for like 40$ its cheaper then the beauty supply
Everybody don't have time for self braid. Even professional braiders pay to get d hair braided. So don't encourage people to have shoulder pain. After working hard to make money. It goes around. Everyone can cook yet d spend time with loved ones to restaurant n even tip waiters,. Show ur skill n allow people make d choices. Your hair is beautiful. Don't destroy other people's business. .
I braid other people's hair myself which is why I recommended for them to do it on their own if they can. My intention wasn't to destroy other people's business but rather inform them of my opinion. That's all. Thank you for watching! 💙💙
The cons ur talking about have to do with technique. I’ve not had any of the issues mentioned. My hair stays in the twist and I wear them at least 2 months at a time. Iono sis
what do you do to make sure they stay in?
For beginners I’d suggest using the rubber band method, but if ur more experienced I used the same start as a double stranded twist. Meaning twist both strands in opposite directions in a very rigid manner then ease up after a few twists to give the passion look.
