- No hit/damage: I avoid taking damage and getting hit in situations that deal no damage. I also don't use the guard/push mechanic, so it's a full hitless run. Just decided to make it no hits for a change since some people care about it but it barely makes any difference in the route.

I worked a lot on making some of these new strategies faster and more interesting, while avoiding using some exploits as well.
The reason why I made this a no crafting run is so that it is a lot tighter on resources and it makes the boss fights not just about damage by crafting and using too many explosives.
Instead, I have to be very careful in where I choose to spend these resources (especially explosives and flashbangs) if I want to maintain some good efficiency on the route.
I still make use of the Duke's upgrades so the guns feel better and better as I progress which gives the run a very nice pace.

@@martinkennethencisa9544 I think I won't because all cutscenes are in first person anyway so it would be practically the same as the run I already did. The point of this run here is to cover some gameplay differences from third person.
I honestly prefer third person view more than first person view. It's more my style when it comes to resident evil games.

I completed it several times until I got satisfied with this completion time. Took me a bit because I was deciding which faster strategies I wanted to use for this run.

I’ll think about it. Unfortunately all cutscenes runs in this game take quite a long time.

Besides the 3rd person view, do you noticed differences in the playthrough compared to the original run? Maybe different item placements or enemy behavior? Also are you excited for RE4 remake ? If they meet the expectations, that should provide a lot of challenges for you. By the way, you are incredible!
There are some gameplay differences but I guess most people wouldn't notice them. The item placements are still the same, the enemy behavior changes a little. I think the biggest issue with 3rd person is that Ethan's hitbox is larger and it makes dodging or running past some enemies a bit worse. Another major issue is that weapon swapping is significantly slower on 3rd person. On the other hand, there are some noticeable advantages of 3rd person, including less input delay, aiming speed is a little smoother, changes of direction in movement are faster, moving quickly after opening the inventory, and it's easier to see enemy's attacks coming in some situations. So it really depends on your playstyle. I still prefer the first person experience overall but I'm sure many other players are more comfortable with third person.
3rd person mode makes this game much better. You think RE7 will receive it as well?
They mentioned they had to rework the entire game to add third person mode here because of the new animations (originally Ethan didn't even have a face in the first person mode implementation). I don't think they would do for RE7 unless they try to sell a new version of it somehow, which is still possible considering it's a huge success.

Yeah, I played all campaigns of RE6 on No Hope.

@@andreiperez644 I might do those before RE4R, the problem is that I want to include other horror games as well. The Callisto Protocol is coming next week for example and if that turns out to be a good game to do challenge runs, I will be working on that.
The magnum reticle is way better in Village than in 4R.

Man the pacing of Beneviento to Moreau is badly done. I think it would be better if they started with...

I find it okay except that the reservoir should have had some new enemies and a bit of combat before the boss fight.
it was great. You're amazing. I have only one criticism. You ran the whole game staring at the ground. I didn't like this.
It’s a bad habit from trying to be efficient with the movement.
