Man what a great vid. You crushed this! Really appreciate it. Studying for my CNC through NASM right now and this clarified alot. You got a sub and a like from this vid. Seriously appreciate it.
So, you mean the coming advice that losing weight while trying to keep or gain muscles (by weight training) can keep one's metabolic rate and reduce the chance of getting fat again due to lower metabolic rate is NOT true?
Excellent video eye opener. Matt you broke myths. What’s your take on calories expenditure when a person loses body weight. Also does losing weight effect the skin organ etc.
This was great. Do you have a recommended video (yours or another) that explains how someone can use their RMR test data to calculate their required calories and macros based upon their goals? (Like a goal of losing 10% body fat and gaining 10% more muscle mass.)
The process of building muscle does add to the BMR equation therefore muscle burns more calories by using more energy? Is it correct? Thank you, outstanding video!
he did not mention it specifically, for each additional pound of body weight he asumes an average of 5-10 cal / day increase (here 10 cal/day for a footbalplayer)
You could split the “physical activity” section into “exercise” and “neat” if you wanted to. NEAT is a pretty good way to show people how significant daily movement can impact total daily energy expenditure
hey matt awesome video and channel, very helpful, do you think you could make an impulse video, that would be awesome ! loved the rfd one but not too clear on the difference between impulse and rfd.

Most helpful video I’ve watched! Thanks for breaking this down
WHHHHHHAAAAT you read my mind man!!! I was literally looking for videos going over resting metabolic rate. Super stoked. Thanks
Excellent video. Matt has a talent for breaking down complex topics and making it easy to understand them.
Thank you🙏🏼
That was a horrible video. That didn't help anything at all.
Great content!! Simple but informative. Thank you sir!
I’m trying to figure out what equations you used to get 80, do you mind sharing? Thank you in advance
Short & sweet, love it!
Appreciate it!
Very much informative and clear! studying for RD exam, it helped a lot. Thank you
Really informative,
How can I decrease my body weight with balance BMI and BMR?
Do high-carb, low-protein, low-fat diet (like that eaten by Asian rice farmers) increase metabolic rate (by increasing FGF21)?

You need a calorie deficit to lose weight. It will effect other organs yes

Where would NEAT be included on the pie chart?

I'll add it to the list
Thanks great video !!
Well explained ❤️🔥👍🏻
Thank you!
Super great video!!!
Incredibly helpfull info :D
