I truly admire and respect the fact that you're living your life on your own terms and making sure you don't compromise your happiness. enjoy your new home!
You have patience of a saint. I did one renovation and will never do another. Too time-consuming and maddening. I admire your discipline to keep at it and get the outcome that you wanted which is beautiful. God bless you today and always.
Your place turned out to be awesome, it was worth the time you put into it! Your reading nook, took me right back to your Van videos! And of course the bedroom design (where all the MAGIC happens!) was a great way to separate the space. I think you get an A+ on your reno!!!
I'm happy with you about your lovely new home, Rose. It's not only very functional but warm and cosy. And Jupiter seems to be very happy with it as well. Then have a good time there.
Amazing! I love Mexico City. I lived there but currently living in Guadalajara now. May you have more blessings in life. You definitely worked hard for it.
Thanks for sharing! I’m surprised there are so many earth tones and not a ton of other colors but seems like a tranquil space. I hope you love it! It’s big of you to take on such a project at your age - you should be proud!
Congrats on your dream home! I've dealt with living in my master bedroom for over 2 months while contractors were remodeling the entire house so I can definitely relate. No kitchen access to cook especially for my dogs was not fun haha.
Oh my God I absolutely love your condo it is my dream to own a home like yours in Mexico City one day I feel like I'm living my dream through you right now congratulations!
Beautiful job with your renovation Rose. You're really going to enjoy living there. And it looks like you have everything you need without a lot of excess, a minimalist vibe, a philosophy I appreciate. Enjoy your new home! P.S. Jupiter is soooo cool.
Hi Rose, you handled that renovation like a pro! I've performed many, both on my personal property, and my rental units. If you can upgrade a kitchen for $10k, and a bathroom for $5k, that's about as good as it gets! Awesome work!
I just recently discovered you and your channel. Love your new home and you have me thinking of revisiting Mexico City again. I only have been there once for a short stay. I am not a minimalist but love your clean living. Am learning much from you. Will be opening a savings with an on line bank and other things. I am seriously late to the money making game but I am doing it now. Keep the videos coming.....You are awesome lady!
Congratulations Rose. It looks beautiful. I've never known a perfectly smooth renovation. But the bottom line is that you got what you wanted. It turned out amazing. Enjoy just doing the "finishing" touches now. Again CONGRATULATIONS. ITS BEAUTIFUL And, as always, thank you for sharing your journeys with us.
Nice work. I'm finishing up an addition myself so know all about delays and time line issues and having to correct or even accommodate something that wasn't accounted for. E. G. Changing a window size etc
Super cool set of videos about moving to Mexico City Rose. What an amazing home!! Thanks for putting in the effort when I can't imagine how much time it took from start to finish. I'm thinking about buying a place in Mexico City as my get away escape from NYC and your video was super helpful. Any chance you can share how easy it is to get Jupiter in and out of country? I hear getting back into the US is a huge PIA. I have a 5lb Maltese Ollie who I travel with and will be coming in December or January to check things out. Thanks Rose.
Is the light above the bath SELV, Rose? Going by British Electrical Standards, it should not be in that zone unless it is Separated Extra Low - Voltage. That is to say, 12 volts and separated from the earthing system of the rest of the electrical installation. If not, it is not safe!
GREAT Job Rose. I've just started looking around for a place to purchase over in Playa del Carmen and there are multiple things you have mentioned that will definitely go into my own build out. Have fun in the new crib! - E
Wow! Rose it turned out lovely. I'm curious how you became fluent in Spanish? Did you take a class, use an app etc.? I'm studying Spanish online for now so I'm super curious! Thanks
It started by being an au pair in Spain at 18. The full-on immersion, even just for 3 months really kickstarts everything. Then from there I’d read, listen to music and tv in Spanish, and travel to Latin America whenever possible so my Spanish has been like 15 years in the making now. I’m now learning French though and am loving the app Duolingo!
How much was the home in Mexico? The patience you put with that home is beyond what I can. First you have to go through all the red tapes to purchase it in Mexico, now to go through another phase to get it remodel. Once it is all over, it will be a treasure. Congrats.
Renovation requires project management skills. I had my whole kitchen done and the flooring on the first floor. That's when I realized it's important to communicate, ask questions and try to predict what the contractor overlooked 😩
Congrats! Your place looks amazing! I've heard so many wonderful things about Mexico City that I'm visiting this year. What neighborhood did you buy in?
$7,200 for a kitchen renovation?? That is amazing. Mexico City is such a big, busy city. So happy for you and your new home.
7,200 dólares se te hace asombroso?
@@luismejia24 si. Yo vivo en California y con ese dinero no es suficiente para pagar solo la mano de obra. Así que si, es barato!!!!!!
@@luismejia24 en Texas te escupirían por intentar pegarles solo 7 mil varos
7200 for the kitchen is super expensive lol

Playa-del-carmen is a great city!
Nicely done! Renovations, I have learned always take twice as long and usually cost twice as much. Congrats!
Congratulations Rose. The place looked fantastic!
Greetings from Laguna Beach. Very nice remodel. Not too cluttered. Nice dog as well. Take Care.
your place definetly looks beatiful after renovation... congrats and welcome to Mexico, you will like it!

Congrats Rose, your home is beautifull!
Thanks for sharing Rose. Beautiful work.
Beautiful, cozy and a great investment. Jackpot!
Looks great! Congrats.
Bellísimo todo !!!!
Your construction budget is so damn affordable. A single bath renno in Calif runs $25k alone!
Congrats Rose! Looks great. Do you think the language difference contributed to some of the renovation mishaps or just how the local contractors work?
Looks amazing! congratulations.
Congratulations 🎉! You're place looks amazing 👏🎉🎉
Bella renovacion, Rose.

After 6 months, how do you feel like you are settling into the neighborhood?
How did you get a West Elm couch shipped to MX? Was it expensive to ship?
Congrats on your new home!
Love it! Congratulations!
Great job on the renovation, why you moved to Mexico City?
Very nice. Do you feel safe living there in Mexico City?

No shower? And how did you go about finding contractors? Nonetheless, it came out great and pretty affordable too!
It'll be nice to know which neighbourhood is to get a better sense of the condo living in Mexico City.
You can just search "departmento en Venta cdmx" online. Lots of apartments will cone up.
How do I find a house in Mexico City with a high wall around the whole property? Also, I need a large yard?
Looks beautiful! How did you get fluent in Spanish if you don’t mind me asking 🙂
Congrats! Your place looks amazing! I've heard so many wonderful things about Mexico City that I'm visiting this year. What neighborhood did you buy in?
