Hi Doug I'm not an engineer, maybe I missed my calling. Thanks for the kind words. I hope my video helped you solve your problem with the Avalon. Here's where I bought the replacements www.twomenonegarage.com/toyota-1. I got the white nylon gear replacement. Neither shows the Avalon but you can contact them at the link on their website.
Hi, Rich. Didn’t see if your seat have the electrical connection for seat belt buckle. Mine have the buckle but no electrical connection and seat belt light is on all the time no matter seat belt was or wasn’t latched. Don’t know if you experienced it yourself. Please help if you have any idea! Tks in advance.
Hi Danny. That seat belt light drove me nuts for a long time. Sometimes it stayed on, sometimes it would go off. The problem is with the sensor in the compartment for the seat belt shoulder harness pillar. There is a sensor that can be replaced but it's expensive; $200. You can also just disable the sensor so the light doesn't flash, which is what I did. The full explanation is at this link: www.justanswer.com/toyota/48p8x-toyota-sienna-le-2000-toyota-sienna-seatbelt-light-remains.html. **Read the caution very carefully**. I just disconnected the wire and I haven't been bothered since then.
@@richward2288 Thank you very much Rich, I found the culprit for keeping the light on just like you described and went at it all weekend. Managed to turn it off only and it's always off now. it eased my frustration at the moment but might head to junkyard to pick up another unit later. You helped to stop my 6-month frustration. I'd buy you a beer if have a chance. Good luck with your life and stay safe!
Hi, yes I did. I couldn't modify the video without deleting the old one so I added the link in my comments just below the video screen: I found the needed worm drives online and installed them. They were costly but the repair was successful www.twomenonegarage.com/product-page/copy-of-toyota-gear-kit-replacement-forward-backward-gears-1
Yes, the link is in my narrative just below the video. $169. My seat works like new now. ruclips.net/user/redirect?event=video_description&redir_token=QUFFLUhqbF9SbEJvaV9SY2tnVjZPSHViQjNlTVZlNnR0UXxBQ3Jtc0tuTkNTMGtfQ0s2STg5bUNmZ3hydTB0bnZQenNBbENPMllHbWRKZlR1M2I3S0k3dXB4OGVmTEVwSk1UQURGWWlNYUdOVnZzTU0yRHotNHhETE1LVm16aC04eFVHV294TEJyeDE0cGk2bkRQYjRkeHk3TQ&q=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.twomenonegarage.com%2Fproduct-page%2Fcopy-of-toyota-gear-kit-replacement-forward-backward-gears-1
