Nice job, but as you said, not a good match for the valve covers. I used Dupli-Color Metalcast Red, which is a perfect match to the valve covers, and it's hi-temp to 500 degrees. For the primer, I used VHT Engine Enamel, light gray color and handles 550 degrees. This primer will give maximum adhesion to the engine cover. A note about the rear view visibility, IMO it's acceptable, but can be significantly improved with Paragon's blue-tinted external rear view mirrors, which are convex on both sides...these are a huge improvement over the stock mirrors, plus the blue tint cuts done the bright glare from headlights.

Great Job! Considering the red trim used throughout, I personally think you made the right color choice versus going with white. By the way, gloss is very unforgiving and can even look tacky. Great video saving 600 on engine cover I thought about painting the calipers myself you can save money when you order after market I got same mud flaps as Gm but instead of paying 250 I payed 125 shop around
Nice informative video. Just a suggestion for the future, you could've just used an IPA or Isopropyl alcohol to wipe instead of washing the cover. Save you drying time. Detailers use it to wipe cars after polishing, prior to coating. Take care.

RearWheelDrive typically reds don’t Hyde well, grey is a great base to minimize the number of coats and to give you a more true color. But hey yours turned out nice any ways so don’t pay attention to me. Lol

You have the high wing option - I haven't seen anyone showing how this is done. My car should be in soon and I'm curious to see if the high wing will be an issue in this case.

When I customized mine last year we had a few choices. Did they take them down for 2021?

I don't have the high wing but I have the Z51 wing and I have no problem storing it in the trunk. I'm 5'9 so my wingspan isn't that wide either.
