    When you showed the village, I immediately felt the connection with my roots. this is how Africans prevented the effects of climate change. those houses in the village don't need conditioning. They are so beautiful.

They are beautiful and has a story to tell that the Southern Sudan Africans were and are clean people. They take time to make those huts very beautiful. If I was in a position to move to Juba, those are the kind of houses I would opt to build.

    Love what you are doing, debunking the myths about South Sudan. It is important that we Africans tell our own stories and change the narrative.
    We must also recognise that African nations as they stand right now are only 60 years or younger and South Sudan is the youngest nation. So it will take a while to develop to our full potential it took Europe and US hundreds of years to get to where they are (and most of that development is thanks to African Labour and resoyrces) ... so it is a journey. We must be patient but we must tell our real.stories and call out the lies said about us and our history as you are doing for South Sudan. Kudos

    • @EricK-td9eh
      @EricK-td9eh 2 года назад +1

      Africans may have laid the bricks but America could have had Irish laborers do the same things. It's Western ingenuity that makes our countries so great. There's a reason everybody and their dog comes to America, UK, France, Australia, etc.

    • @africanmindsetseries
      @africanmindsetseries 2 года назад

      @@EricK-td9eh LOL... Western ingenuity? Yes, there's an element of that but can I advise you to show some humility too as the main engine behind western prosperity is the brutal exploitation of others, primarily Africa, the world's richest continent in terms of natural and mineral resources. I suggest you go read your real history, then we can have a conversation.
      By the way Africans were building great civilisations long before European and western civilisatiin was even a thing so "ingenuity" is not exclusive to the West.
      Again go read a proper history book about ancient and medieval African civilisations, Kingdoms and Empires.... Not the twisted Eurocentric version of African history.
      The West primarily developed not because of ingenuity but through violence and bloodshed, yep, through slavery, colonisation and present day neocolonialism.
      The reality is without African manpower and resources, the West is nothing... And that's still true today. For example, you wouldn't even have a laptop or smart phone without Africa's cobalt, etc... Where do you get your cocoa beans for all that lovely chocolate? What about diamonds, gold, Etc... You guessed it.. However western governments and corporations do not pay a fair price for these raw materials and have set up structures to continually exploit developing nations.
      Also, it is becoming clear that a lot of the so called western discoveries and inventions, were in fact plagiarised from other civilisations, refined and relabelled as "European" discoveries/inventions.
      For e.g, enslaved black people took a wealth of knowledge to the Americas, Europe, etc, which was appropriated by their European slave masters and western society in general.
      Remember Europeans took African doctors, physicists, mathematicians, teachers, fathers, mothers, etc and enslaved them... The very people who would have developed Africa, had they stayed behind on the continent. Their ideas, inventions, etc were instead used to develop the West, to the detriment of Africa. Where for example, do you think the concept of vaccine came from? From a west African slave, who didn't get any credit until recently...
      There's evidence for e.g that ceasarian sections were being performed in Africa, long before it was a thing in Europe yet only Europeans are given credit for "inventing" the procedure.
      So much more to share in this space but you can do your own research and hopefully show some humility.
      By the way, people go to the West because that's where all our stolen wealth, including museum artefacts has been taken to and western governments also deliberately work to destabilise developing nations, so they continue to pillage the wealth of those nations and profit from the chaos. Western institutions and the rules based international order are just some of the means they use to protect the stolen wealth and maintain the status quo of unequal power distribution.
      However, we are all waking up...
      So if anyone has any right to go to Europe/West , Africans actually do as western civilisation and capitalism was built on the back of black sweat and bodies through slavery, colonisation and present day neocolonialism...
      However,most of us Africans also now realise that our continent is as valuable as ever. So we aim to encourage people to stay, develop and defend the continent.
