so this one is what, 4 boards stronger than the OG pride? i really saw my pride as a middle of the bag kinda do all kinda tool... does this one make it closer to the top of the bag? shape is very similar, but is it as versatile and continuous as the OG? i dont want to drop the cake on it if it hook stops and locks up. looks continuous and midlaney on the vid but again its a sales vid. really hoping for an answer, dont have a motiv rep within an hour plus from my center, so im not gonna see it go down the lane unless i drill it first. thanks!
it definitely reads the mids really well and gets into a roll, but it won't lock up and die because the cover is slow enough. If it was faster response, it'd hit the friction and burn out.
I know layouts are primarily a personal thing, but I'm curious how come Nick chose to go with such a long pin-to-pap for his tester layouts. I honestly can't even think of a single bowling friend or acquaintance that ever uses anything over 5", and the difference between 4" and 5" is pretty huge. Is there a reason beyond just, "That's what Nick likes" that you guys went with such long pin distances?
Nick drills it this way because he has a higher track, lower ball speed and higher rev rate so he needs a longer pin to pap (weaker drill) to help create enough length. So he can see the right window, see the midlane well and still store enough energy down lane.
This looks very intriguing. I have yet to try anything on the Motiv line, and perhaps if some of your staff members were more friendly and actually recommended that the Motiv line will change their game for the better, rather than deciding they know that a bowler 'doesn't have what it takes' or 'doesn't have the drive' to become a competitor on the PBA circuit, then I might go and drop a few grand on transmuting my entire arsenal to nothing but MOTIV EQUIPMENT!
